Watching Class 1-A

Chapter 1

Midoriya Izuku bolted upright, looking around frantically. She was in a small plain white room, containing a bed and a dresser. She frowned in confusion as she climbed off the bed. She didn't remember falling asleep or how she'd gotten there. The last thing she remembered was running home after eating All Mights hair, worried that she wouldn't make it in time for the entrance exam.

'Was I hit with a quirk?' She wondered, making her way to the door. She flinched when she saw herself in the mirror on top of the dresser. She was wearing pajamas. Dark green pajamas. Dark green pajamas that she didn't remember putting on. 'Im liking this less and less'. She thought as she pushed open the door.

She came out into a hallway with a soft, grey carpet and peach colored walls. Light blue colored doors lined up each side of the hallway. At the end of the hall she saw a sign next to a stairwell. As she made her way towards it, the other doors began to open. Out came girls her age, all looking as confused as she felt and wearing pajamas.

"Ano, what's going on here, ribbit?" A girl with frog-like features, long black hair and light green pjs asked.

"So you guys don't know how we got here either." A taller girl, with long black hair in a ponytail and light grey and red pjs, said as she looked around at the rest of us.

"There's a sign over here!" A girl with earphone jacks for earlobes and black pjs called out as she made her way towards the sign.

MAKE YOU WAY DOWNSTAIRS AND YOU WILL UNDERSTAND

"Freaky." A girl with short brown hair and a round face with pink and white polka dotted pjs muttered next to me.

"Yeah" I muttered back.

"We might as well..." Said earphone jacks as she made her way downstairs.

Soon the girls found themselves in front of double doors, where they could hear chatter from the other side. They pushed the doors open and were greeted with what looked like a theater, already full of adults and teen boys, all wearing pajamas. To the front there was a big white screen. Infront of that there were rows of comfortable looking seats. I spotted All Might in his small form wearing red pjs towards the top of the seats. It got quiet when the people inside saw us standing there.

"Ah Looks like there were more." A... mouse/rat/bear… thing in white pjs said from his perch on the shoulder of a scruffy looking man. The man had shoulder length black unkempt hair, a scarf and black pjs.

The girls just stared at the creature, Cute

"My name is Nezu, the principal of UA high school. Do you ladies know how you got here and why?"

We shook our heads, too awed at the creature/principal to speak. Before he could ask any more questions, the lights dimmed and the screen turned black. White letters appeared as a deep booming voice spoke.

"I understand that you all are confused about what is going on. Everything will be explained in due time. Some bad things are going to happen in your future and I wanted to give you the advantage. You will see a series of events involving someone you could call the main character; The person at the center of it all. Please make yourselves comfortable before we begin."

No one moved staring at the screen in confusion.

"You do not have a choice. Either watch till the end or stay here for the rest of your life."

That got everyone moving. The kids stayed at the bottom seats, while the teachers moved to the top. I made my way towards the top to sit with Small Might, the pink polka dot girl followed behind me.

"Do you know what's going on All m-Ah Sir"? I whispered to Small Might as I sat in between him and the girl.

"Hmm no." He shook his head. "But no worries, you're surrounded by heroes. They'll keep you all safe." He ruffled my hair, giving me a reassuring smile.

"Thank you for cooperating and there is no need to fear. I mean these children no harm. Now, I will explain how this will work. First off this will take a few days, maybe weeks to finish, so no one will leave until it's over. Do not fret, this place is in a pocket dimension where time works differently. At the end of it all it will be like you all were gone for a few minutes"

Most of the people relaxed at the screen's words. The entrance exam was supposed to start soon, the teachers didn't want to have hundreds of examinees in the school unsupervised.

"Second, whenever you feel like turning in for rest, the events will stop and will start again after 10hrs. You all have your own rooms, the ones you found yourselves in when you arrived. Girls on the third floor, boys on the second. There are communal baths on each floor. There will be food breaks as well. The kitchen is behind those doors." A door appeared next to the screen. "The show will pause itself whenever someone speaks up and will resume when there's silence...Any questions so far?"

"WHO IS SUPPOSED TO BE THE MAIN CHARACTER?!" Izuku's eyes widened in slight horror as she saw Kacchan, in red pjs, jump up and scream at the screen. So he's here too. He was sitting towards the front, on the outside seat, next to a redhead boy with red pjs who was trying to calm him down.

"Ah Bakugo Katsuki, you will grow to be a great Hero…" Kacchan smirked. "But first you need to GROW THE HELL UP!" Kacchan flinched and fell back into his seat.

"Now then we will begin."

The screen went black.

A cabin appeared on the screen. It was dark in the middle of winter, the cabin surrounded by trees on top of a clif. Izuku covered her mouth in horror as she recognized it, Small Might glancing at her in concern. There appeared to be a party going on inside. The back door suddenly burst open and out ran a young woman followed by two beefy guys. She ran over next to a tree and threw up rainbows.

The kids began laughing. "Who throws up rainbows?" A blond haired boy, with a lightning bolt on his hair and wearing yellow pjs, laughed out.

The two guys came up behind the woman laughing at her misfortune. One was blond and the other a dark skinned man.

"That was awesome! I can't believe you threw up from only two beers." The blond man kept laughing.

"Haha, honestly brat, your lack of tolerance is just pitiful." The dark skinned man shook his head while laughing.

"Children you should never get intoxicated, especially so close to a cliff's edge." Piped up Nezu, making Izuku flinch.

The woman straightened up and glared at her friends with tears in her eyes. "I hate you guys."

"No you dont!" "You love us!" They said, simultaneously throwing their arms around her shoulders.

"Yeah, whatever, let's go back inside. It's cold out here." The woman muttered as she rubbed her arms.

They began to make their way to the cabin, when the dark skinned man broke away from the group and made his way to the edge of the cliff.

"Hey, let's take a picture to remember the brats 21st birthday." he said as he took out his phone.

Izuku closed her eyes knowing what was about to happen.

As the other two approached, the ground where the dark skinned man was standing began to give way.

Everyone gasped in horror as they saw the man begin to fall.

The man's face morphed into fear as he realized what was happening. There was no way for him to pull himself out of the situation. And just as he accepted his fate the woman was there grabbing his arm. She pulled and pushed him back towards the cliff where the blond man grabbed and pulled him back up to safety. He was safe, but she was falling.

There were cries of horror from everyone around as they watched the woman fall

Ah did I just do that? The woman thought as she fell. I'm going to die. She thought as she got closer to the frozen water beneath

Some of the students were openly crying.

But

The viewers eyes wide.

I'm glad. A smile appeared on her face. He's safe.

She hit the frozen water

Everyone watched in horror as they realized she hadn't died immediately.

She was sinking as the water turned red around her, Her vision began to dim. I'm glad. was her last thought as the screen turned dark.

Izuku was frozen as tears ran down her face.

"What was that? She died on her birthday while saving someone!?" One of the kids yelled out "That's not fair" the others agreed looking at the teachers for answers.

"Lifes not fair," The scruffy man said. He had taken a seat on the same row as All might and Izuku but at the opposite end. "Sometimes things happen that are beyond your control and all you can do is deal with the aftermath."

Izuku quickly rubbed away her tears.

There was a little girl on the ground in green shorts and a blue shirt staring blankly up at the hot summer sky.

Some of the people around me turned to look at me in interest, noticing the similar green hair and freckles. Others frowned at how beat up she looked.

Here's the sad truth: Not all men are created equal. I knew that from my past life but it hadn't really sunk in until I was reborn into this world.

The viewers gasped understanding what had happened.

"Wait so does that mean that you were reincarnated?!" The pink polkadot girl exclaimed from next to me, Gaining everyone's attention.

I sank deeper into my chair embarrassed at all the attention. "Yeah and I remember my past life but I really don't want to talk about it." I said as I felt my face go red.

"Wait, does that mean you remember your death?!" Someone screamed, making izuku cringe.

"Don't go hounding her for answers over something that's clearly a sensitive subject." The scruffy man said glaring at everyone, making the kids look away in shame. Izuku sent the man a small grateful smile.

The teachers, more specifically Nezu, eyed her before turning back to the screen. She would make a fine hero.

When I was four years old I learned that some people have more power than others. An older Izuku appeared running on the screen wearing a middle school uniform. But that won't hold me back.

If anything it pushes me to do better.

"Hell yeah don't back down from a challenge." The red head next to Kacchan yelled out.

"Language!" Nezu reprimanded with a smile, making the boy blush as the others laughed.

Izuku continued running, when a giant villain appeared on screen. Izuku stopped to stare in awe as her name appeared on screen. "That's one huge supervillain!" she yelled out.

The first incident occurred in Qingqing City. Izuku's voice came back on as a hospital came into view. An extraordinary child was born who radiated light. A glowing baby was crying in the nursery while the father freaked out.

They laughed at the poor man. That must have been weird being the father of the first quirk user.

After that, reports of people with superpowers popped up all over the world. People with different quirks appeared on screen, no one knew what was causing these quirks. Before long, the supernatural became totally normal. Dreams, a reality. The world became a superhuman society, with about 80% of the population possessing some uncanny ability. Our streets looked like scenes from comic books. A city swirled with chaos and confusion. A new profession dominated our collective consciousness.

The kids looked on in excitement. Even the adults were getting into it.

The giant villain appeared again destroying an electrical tower.

It was an age of heroes.

The electrical tower fell, but before it hit the ground a hero appeared and caught it. The name Death Arms appeared on screen. He was tall, muscular and had a square jaw with short white spiked hair.

"Oh, nice! Way to go, Death Arms!"

"The punching Hero!"

"I wish I had a Quirk that made me super strong" bystanders yelled out in awe.

"Everyone, Please stay back!" Backdraft appeared on the scene using his water manipulation to keep the civilians out of reach. He was dressed like a firefighter, sporting a long yellow jacket with high-visibility lines running down the centre, along his sleeve cuffs, hem, and high collar, and wore a red fireman hat. "This area is far too dangerous."

"Wow, the rescue specialist Backdraft is here?"

"He'll make sure we're okay!"

Izuku was trying to find a way to get closer, her short stature keeping her from viewing the fight well.

"This guy must be pretty desperate to go full monster in the middle of the city," the guy blocking Izuku's view said to the man next to him.

"Just some amature," He replied. "Stole someone's bag and got himself cornered."

"A quirk like that and he's just a petty thief."

The viewers couldn't help but agree with him.

Izuku began making her way to the front

"I got held up. trains out. Another villain." Izuku pushed by another bystander. "I'm not sure when I'm gonna make it into the office."

A hero flew over the heads of the civilians. "ITS KAMUI!" Some fangirls began to squeal. "We're your biggest fans!"

Kamui Woods jumped into the fight, dodging the villains' attacks. His Hero Costume consisted of a dark blue bodysuit that includes a wooden belt, wooden knee pads, and wooden shoes. A small bundle of roses hung from the left side of his belt.

"GET AWAY FROM ME OR I'LL BREAK YOU, TOOTHPICK" The villain yelled as he kept attacking.

"AH! This is gonna be good!" Izuku finally found herself at the front. "He may be new, but he's making a big name for himself!" Izuku exclaimed in excitement, a man with spikes striking out of his head eyeing her in amusement.

"One look at that dopey grin and I know what you are," Izuku turned to the man in confusion. "A fangirl!"

"Uh-Sorta…" Izuku looked away blushing. Of course I'm a fangirl, for someone who was born in the age before quirks, being in a superhuman society is too exciting for words.

Kamui Woods continued to fight. He used his wood quirk to grab onto the villains hand only to be thrown onto a nearby pylon.

"Assault, robbery, and the illegal use of powers during rush hour traffic," Kamui yelled at the villain. "You are the incarnation of evil."

The Pros sweat dropped at that, incarnation of evil?

Kamui Woods stuck his arm out, activating his quirk.

"There! his special move!" Izuku pointed out excitedly.

"Come on, Tree man, show us something flashy!" the spike man called out.

"The pre-emptive…" Izuku began

"...binding…" Kamui Woods continued

"...Lacquered Chain prison!" Izuku and kamui woods finished together

"Canyon canon!"

Suddenly a giant lady came from nowhere, kicking the giant villain in the face before Kamui Woods attack could reach him. Everyone stared in shock at what had happened, Kamui Woods frozen in place.

"So that was Mt. Ladys debut?" a girl with pink skin and purple pjs said.

Mt. Lady had long creamy blonde hair reaching her waist, with two shorter strands curled to frame her face. Her hero costume was composed of a purple and pale tan-colored skin tight bodysuit, which was accented with orange stripes.

Suddenly next to Izuku photographers showed up and began chanting 'Money Shot'

"Piece of cake for the world's next hottest hero." The giantess turned to her audience. "Hi everyone, I'm Mt. Lady and you don't have to worry about this bum anymore," She finished with a wink. More photographers appeared chanting 'Money Shot'

The spiked man next to Izuku had a dopey grin as she pulled out her notebook.

"Wait, she's getting all the credit?" Kamui Woods was still standing frozen where he'd launched his attack.

The pros in the room shook their heads at Mt. Ladys actions. While it was encouraged that heroes work together, stealing someone's spotlight was frowned upon.

With the rise of superpowers came an explosive increase in criminal activities. While governments were stuck trying to figure out how to reform laws with quirks in mind, courageous people started performing heroic acts to keep our cities safe. The screen showed the different heroes that had helped in the attack.

Protecting us against villains who abused their powers for evil. Mt. Lady stood next to the villain as it was led away, waving at the reporters and civilians.

With overwhelming public support, heroes found an official place as peacekeepers overseen by the government. Those who performed the best were paid the most and got all the fame and glory. Their careers depended on their ability to stay in the spotlight.

The screen showed Izuku writing in her book. "Gigantification , Huh? Well she's definitely got the looks and attitude to be a crowd favorite and her quirk is really showy, but it'll be kinda hard for her to get around much in the city without damaging lotsa things, that means she might not be very useful."

Izuku blushed as people sent her amused looks.

"What's that, fangirl?" The spiked man asked, still standing next to Izuku. "You taking notes over there? Wanna be a hero, too, huh?"

Izuku turned to the man "Ah! Yes! More than anything!" she said, giving him a big smile.

A middle school appeared on screen.

"So, as third year students," A teacher addressed his students. "It's time to start thinking seriously about your futures and what you want to do with your lives." the screen zoomed in on Izuku who was writing in her notebook. "I could pass out some career aptitudes tests, but why bother?" The teacher grabbed the tests and threw them into the air. "I know you want to go to the hero track!" the students cheered showing off their quirks.

"Yes, yes you have some very impressive quirks," the teacher tried to calm them down. "But no power usage allowed in school! Get ahold of yourselves!"

"Hey teach," A slim young man with short, spiky ash-blond hair with choppy bangs and sharp bright red eyes said over everyone. "Don't lump me in with these buncha losers." the boy was reclining on his chair with his feet up on the desk."

"Hey! You shouldn't have your feet on the desk. It's disrespectful to the school and the craftsmen who created that desk!" A tall and muscular teen with glasses and blue pjs yelled at kacchan from the front row of seats. "You should be ashamed of yourself!"

"Ah bite me" Kacchan replied carelessly with a smirk, happy that he would finally get the attention he deserved on screen.

"I'm the real deal, but these guys'll be lucky to end up as sidekicks to some busted D-Lister." The name Katsuki Bakugo appeared on screen.

"You think you're better than us, Katsuki?!" the other students began yelling at him.

"Let's go, I'll take you all on," Bakugo said with a maniacal grin on his face.

"Huh you have impressive test results," the teacher was looking over Bakugos file. "Meaby you will get into UA High."

"He's gonna try for the national school?"

"That school has a .2% acceptance rate!"

"It's impossible to get into"

"That's exactly why it's the only place worthy of me." Bakugo jumped onto the desk "I aced all the mock tests. I'm the only one at this school who stands a chance at getting in."

Not with that attitude though the UA teachers.

"I'll end up more popular than All Might himself, and be the richest hero of all time!" Bakugo yelled with his fist in the air. "People all across the world will know who I am. And it all starts with UA High."

"Oh yeah, Midoriya, don't you wanna go to UA, too?" The teacher interrupted making Bakugou freeze.

Izuku flinched as the students' attention fell on her. They all burst out laughing, even the teacher.

"Midoriya? You're kidding, right?"

"There's no way you're getting into the hero course without a quirk!"

"She's Quirkless?"

"In this day and age?"

"Man that's rough"

Izuku sank into herself as the teens whispered around her.

"You don't need a quirk to be a hero,"

Izuku gasped as everyone turned to the scruffy man.

"You clearly have an analytical mind, that alone is enough to make you a very useful asset in the hero community. You can always turn into an underground hero too, I'm sure they, at the very least, would welcome you with open arms."

"Yeah, little listener, you're clearly hero material." A long haired blond man with glasses, a little mustache and yellow pjs yelled out from his seat next to the scruffy man, making him flinch and glare at his friend.

"Hizashi is right," Nezu said. "You have already proven yourself as a hero when you saved that man that led to your death. You are more than welcome in my school."

"You see young Midoriya?" Small Might pat her head. "They see the same thing in you that I do."

Izuku stared in awe as the other pro heroes gave her encouragement, even the kids shipped in here and there. It was too much, Izuku had to rub at her eyes to keep the tears from falling. "Thank you"

"Well, actually they got rid of that rule," Izuku stood up looking at her classmates desperately. "I could be the first one"

Bakugo slammed his hand on her desk making her fall to the ground. "Listen up, Deku! You're even worse than the rest of these damn rejects, you quirkless wannabe. You really think they'd let someone like you in when they can have me?"

"Well, I certainly would not want someone who would attack his fellow classmates in my school." Nezu said with a pleasant smile, the steel look in his eye more than enough to make Kacchan look away.

"No wait! You've got it all wrong! Really!" Izuku crawled backwards away from Bakugou. "I'm not trying to compete against you!" her back hit the wall. "You gotta believe me!"

"It's just that I've wanted to be a hero for so long. I may not have a quirk," Izuku looked up at Bakugou in fear. "But I can still try my hardest, can't I?"

"You'd never be able to hang with the best of the best" Bakugou's hands began to smoke. "You'd die in the exams!"

"Defenseless Izuku." Izuku looked down in shame. "This school is already crappy, you really wanna embarrass it more by failing so hard?"

Kacchan flinched as the heroes stared at him in anger. Nezu made a mental note to speak with the middle school director. A student was being bullied, no, attacked, and the teacher did nothing.

Another part of the city a woman screamed. "Hey get back here" A store owner ran out of his convenience store. "Someone stop that monster!"

A sludge monster appeared running away with the stolen money. "Yell all you want, sucker, this cash is mine."

"Dude where are all the heroes?" a bystander asked.

The doors of a convenience store opened where only the bottom half of a skinny man wearing too baggy clothes came out.

"That's weird, normally someone would swoop in right away."

"Maybe they're all still busy from that scene this morning."

"'Member when we didn't have to worry about randos with quirks all the time?"

"Seriously there no stopping them."

"Yes there is" The skinny man buffed up into a tall muscular man behind the bystanders. "You know why? I am here!" All Might appeared on screen with a big smile.

"EHHHHHH!?" the students began to loudly wonder what happened to All Might. Why was he so small? It took several minutes for the teacher to calm them down.

"Children, why don't we wait for an explanation to come to us from the screen?" Nezu finally got their attention. They settled down, for now.

"That fight from this morning is all over the news" Izuku was going through the news feed on her phone as she packed up the school supplies to go home. "Better write some notes down before I forget anything"

Izuku smiled as she picked up her notebook. Only for it to get snatched by Bakugou

"I dunno what you think you're doin', Deku but we're not done." Bakugou glared down at the girl.

"Whatchu got? Her diary?" Bakugou's goons came up behind him. "Huh?" They read the title 'Hero analysis for the future' "Don't tell me you're taking notes on how to be a hero? How pathetic."

"Taking notes on your future career is admirable and something we should all be doing as future heroes in training." The tall glasses wearing teen said as he chopped at the air with his hand.

"She's delusional," Bakugou's goons laughed.

"Yeah, real funny, guys. Just give it back" Izuku pleaded with Bakugou only for him to explode her book.

"That wasn't very manly bakugou," Red spikes scolded kacchan, who just growled at him.

"That's so mean," Izuku cried out, only to scream and flail as Bakugou threw her book out the window.

"Most first-string heroes show potential early on, people look at them and just know they're destined for greatness," Bakugou started to lecture Izuku. "When I'm the only student from this garbage junior high to get into UA, people'll start talking about me like that. They'll realize I'm legit, the next big thing. That's not ego talking, I just know I'm good."

"Ego…" one of the bullies said.

"Here's a little word of advice, nerd," Bakugou put his smoking hand on Izuku's shoulder. "Don't even think about applying. Or else" Izuku just whimpered.

"That's just sad," A bully said as they made their way out of the classroom. "I thought you at least had some fight in you."

Izuku just stood there shaking

"She finally gets it, she'll never be a hero, better to find out now instead of later, i guess."

Bakugou stiffened as he remembered what he'd said next.

"Y'know, if you really wanna be a hero that badly there actually might be another way," Bakugou turned back to Izuku. "Just pray that you'll be born with a quirk in your next life."

Everyone's eyes widened at his next words

"Then take a swan dive of the roof of the building."

The room exploded into chaos. Everyone yelling at Kacchan as he was forced to jump away to dodge some of their quirks. Before any attacks landed their quirks stopped working.

"That's enough!" The scruffy man didn't look scruffy anymore. Eyes flashing red, hair flowing up as he clutched his scarf. He looked terrifying as he glared down at Kacchan. "You and I will have a little talk on how a hero should behave"

He deactivated his quirk and led Kacchan out of the theater.

Izuku flinched as everyone's attention turned to her.

"I'm so sorry, Young Midoriya." Small Might gathered her into his arms. "You never should have had to go through that."

"Ah its.." no it wasn't ok. "Im fine"

"Hey Midoriya," Izuku looked up at the glasses wearing teen. "How come you wear the males uniform?"

"Ugh, well, I went through american public schools and they didn't require students to wear uniforms at school so I never had to get used to skirts." Izuku grimaced. "To be honest they make me uncomfortable."

"But why don't the teachers make you wear the proper uniform?" The teen chopped at the air.

"Since I was diagnosed as quirkless, the teachers pretend I don't exist." Izuku didn't see the darkened looks on the UA teachers. "I think some forgot I'm a girl too so I was never called out on it."

It took a few more minutes of people making small talk and introducing themselves, I discovered the polka dots girl's name was Ochako and was really nice, before Kacchan and the scruffy man came in. They took their previous seats, Kacchan hunching over in his chair looking angry and the scruffy man sending me a tired but reassuring look which I returned with a small smile.

Izuku groweld and turned to Bakugou in anger only for him to give a threatening smile and activate his quirk "Something wrong?

Izuku just stood there whimpering with tears in her eyes.

Izuku found herself behind the school looking for her book. That idiot! You can't go telling people to kill themselves. What if I really jumped, what would he do then? To be honest if I had been a real kid I probably would have jumped by now with all the bullying.

Kacchan flinched at that.

Izuku paused by a small fountain where koy fish were eating her notebook. My dreams have turned into fish food.

"That's enough, give it back. Dammit" She pulled it out and glared at its burn marks. Stupid jerk.

The screen blurred before a young Izuku appeared on screen.

"AWWW!" most of the students and some of the teacher coo'ed at little Izuku making her turn red.

"Mom hurry!" Young Izuku clutching an All Might figurine ran to her mother who was washing dishes. "C'mon, Mom. It's computer time" She yelled jumping around her.

"Hey Izuku, If you're supposed to be 21 how come you act so much like a kid?" Sato, a boy with gray pjs and what looked like tape dispensers at his elbows, looked back at her.

"Ah! Well..." Izuku looked down in embarrassment. "I might have my memories but my body is still that off a child. I think since kids and adults have different hormones it makes it hard for me to control certain impulses." She rubbed the back of her head. "To be honest it feels like i'm drowning in my emotions most of the time."

"All ready?" Izuku's mom turned to her with a smile.

"Ugh. faster! lets go!" Izuku was on a chair in front of the computer rocking back and forth in excitement.

They laughed at her impatience

"Jeez, I think you've added 10,000 views to this one yourself, Izuku." Izuku's mom said as she pulled up a video. "I don't know why you like it, I think it's scary."

The video I loved was an old one. The video of All Might's debut came on. Disaster footage from a long time ago.

But more importantly, it was the debut of the greatest hero the world had ever known.

"Who is he? The guys already saved 100 people at least," A wounded victim said in front of the camera. "And it hasn't even been 10 minutes! This is… this is crazy! I can't believe it!"

Little Izuku wasn't the only one who looked on with excitement. All the kids were leaning forward to watch their heroes debut.

"Look!, he's got more!"

All Might appeared, carrying several people in his arms and back.

"Fear not, citizens. Hope has arrived," All might said with a grin. "Because I am here."

"He's the coolest in the universe!" Izuku yelled happily. "And once i get my quirk, i'm gonna be a hero just like him!"

"AHAHAHAHA" Izuku laughed mimicking All might, not noticing her mother looking away in sadness.

"Sorry kid it's not gonna happen."

Little Izuku froze in horror, dropping her All Might toy.

The viewers were giving Izuku varying looks of pity and sympathy.

"Oh, dear," They were in a doctor's office trying to find out why Izuku hadn't gotten her quirk yet. "So you really think there's something wrong, then? Most of the other kindergarteners in her class have begun to show signs already."

"My records say you're a fourth-generation quirk user. What powers do you and the girl's father have?" The doctor talked as if he hadn't just crushed Izuku's dreams.

"Nothing too special," Izuku's mom said as she levitated the All might toy towards herself. "I can float small objects towards me, and my husband breathes fire. They're useful enough I suppose."

"Izuku should have already manifested one of these quirks or a combination of both," an x-ray of Izuku's foot appeared on screen. "But after viewing her X-rays, I don't think she's going to. You see when super powers began appearing, there were many research studies conducted, and doctors discovered a link between the bones in a person's foot and their likelihood of developing a quirk. People with powers have only one joint in their pinky toes. Their bodies have evolved into a more streamlined version of the human form." He pointed to Izuku's pinky. "You can see here that Izuku has two joints in her pinky, like roughly 20% of the population these days. Based on the research that's available, it's safe to say your daughter isn't going to develop a quirk."

The whole time Izuku just sat frozen.

Izuku was back in her apartment watching All Mights debut.

"See that, mom? There's always a smile on his face, no matter how bad things get." little Izuku said, her voice breaking in sadness. "Even when things seem impossible, he never gives up." Izuku turned to her mom, tears in her eyes as she pointed at the screen. "Do you think...I can be a hero, too?"

"I'm sorry, Izuku." Izuku's mom hugged her as she cried into her daughter's shoulder. "I wish things were different."

Mom. That's not what I needed you to say. Izuku's voice was full of pain

Couldn't you see? My world was crumbling. There was only one thing I wanted to hear

"WAHHH! Poor little listener!" Izuku epped as suddenly she was picked up by the blond who had sat next to the scruffy man. "Don't worry! We know you're a great hero already!"

The blond was rubbing their cheeks together as he cried for Izuku, making her squirm.

"Hey! Hizashi, leave her be and get back to your seat," The scruffy man scolded his friend.

"I don't wanna!" he continued crying. It took a bit of comforting from Izuku's end before he calmed down enough to sit, but he still wouldn't let go. Izuku was forced to sit in between his legs on his chair and be used as a giant teddy bear.

Teenage Izuku returned to the screen where she was passing under an overpass

I made a decision that day. No matter what anyone else thinks, I had to believe in myself. And I'll keep smiling, just like him.

"Don't worry little listener, we believe in you!"

"HAHAHA" Izuku kept walking as she mimicked All Might's laugh.

Suddenly behind Izuku the sludge monster began to rise from a manhole. She turned at the sound as the sludge monster rose to his full height.

Oh no! Everyone thought in horror as Hizashi squeezed Izuku tighter.

"A villain?" Izuku just stood there frozen.

"You'll make a perfect skin suit for me to hide in, kid."

"Skin suit?!" someone yelled in horror.

Izuku attempted to flee only to be engulfed by the sludge monster.

"Don't worry, I'm just taking over your body," The villain said as he forced his sludge into Izuku's mouth. "It'll be easier for both of us if you don't fight back. It'll only hurt for a minute. You'll feel better soon."

I can't...breath! Izuku desperately tried to claw at the sludge villain.

"Grab all you want. My bodys made of fluid. Thanks for the help. Your a real hero to me, kid"

Izuku was kicking her legs trying to get away.

"I didn't know he was in the city. I gotta get outta here fast before he tracks me down."

My body...getting...weak…

The viewers were horrified as Izuku's body started to go limp.

...Im dying...again…

No way!

This can't be the end!

Somebody! Help!

The manhole cover suddenly shot up.

"Have no fear, you're safe," All might said with a smile as he rose from the sewer. "Now that I am here."

Everyone cheered at All Might's arrival.

The sludge monster tried to attack only for All might to dodge and launch his own attack

"Texas...Smash!" The punch began to rip apart the sludge monster.

"I can't...hold...together!" he was blown away and Izuku was released.

Is that...All...Might? Was Izukus last thought before she passed out.

Izuku felt Hizachi relax behind her as everyone let out a breath of relief

Izuku was on the ground as All Might tried to pat her awake.

"Hey! Wake up! Hey-" he stopped patting her when her eyes opened. "Thought we lost you there."

Izuku gasped as she crawled backwards screaming.

"Well, looks like you're moving around all right."

"Honestly you should have taken her to the hospital straight away" The scruffy man glowered at Small Might, who just looked at Izuku apologetically.

"Sorry 'bout that back there." All Might held up a hand in apology. "I didn't mean to get you caught up in my justicing. Usually I pay more attention to keeping bystanders safe." He rubbed his forehead in frustration. "But it turns out this city's sewer system is pretty difficult to navigate." All Might laughed at his mistake.

Izuku was just staring at him in shock.

"Anyway, you were a big help," All might continued. "Thank you! I've captured the evil-doer!" He held up a bottle filled with the sludge villain.

The most amazing hero in the entire world...All Might! The real thing. In the flesh. Standing right in front of me!

"Jeez don't just sit there catching flies," earjacks girl called out. "Try to get his autograph or something."

He looks so much cooler in person!

"Holy crap! I gotta get an autograph," Izuku looked around frantically. "I've got a pen around here somewhere." She caught sight of her notebook.

"Please sign my notebook!" Izuku opened her book. "He already did!"

"Thank you so much!" Izuku bowed to him frantically as All might put the villain in his pockets. "This will be a family heirloom"

"Bahahaha!" everyone laughed.

"You really are a fangirl, aren't yah!"

"A family treasure passed down for generations to come!" Izuku kept bowing.

"Uh-huh" All might just gave her a thumbs up as he patted the bottled villain. "Well I've got to get this guy to the police so they can take care of 'im"

"Stay out of trouble. See ya around" All might turned away from Izuku as he bagan to get ready to take off.

"Wait. You're leaving? Already?" Izuku looked at him sadly.

"Pro heroes are constantly fighting time as well as enemies."

He can't go yet. Izuku took a hesitant step forward. There are still so many questions I have to ask him.

"Now stand back. I'm taking off" With that All Might jumped into the sky. "Thanks for your continued support!"

"Huh?" All might looked down in confusion as he felt the extra weight. There, clutching his leg, was Izuku.

"Honestly, you could have gotten yourself hurt doing a stunt like that" Scruffy man scolded softly next to Izuku while everyone else laughed at the face she was making.

"Hey, Hey, hey, what do you think you're doing?" He began to attempt to take her off his leg. "Let go! I love my fans, but this is too much!"

"No way! We're flying. If I let go now, I'll die!" Izuku tightened her hold in fear.

"Oh! That's a good point"

"I just have a lot of things I want to ask you personally! Your my all-time favorite hero, All Might please!"

"Ok, ok! I get it." All Might sighs as he grabbed onto the back of Izuku's school jacket. He looked around for a place to land before coughing into his hand, blood bubbling up at his lip. "Shit"

"Wait for the explanation!" Nezu managed to call out before the kids could ask what was going on.

They landed on the roof of a tall building.

"My whole life flashed before my eyes" Izuku was hunched over looking like she was about to die. Both of them

"Not a very smart move." All Might stood with his back to Izuku. "Bang on the door for a while someone will let you in." He bagan walking away. "Now, I have to go. See you on the flip side."

"Wait a minute!" Kacchan turned to yell at me. "That was your fault?!"

"Ah yes! Sorry!" Kacchan just threw his arms up and turned back to the screen with a scowl

The others were giving us curious looks at what just happened but I shook my head at them.

"Wait, not yet. One second" Izuku called out to him desperately.

"No! I don't have any time."

"I have to know!"

Sorry kid it ain't gonna happen. The doctor crushing her dreams

I'm sorry Izuku, I wish things were different. Izuku's mom not believing in her

Defenseless Izuku, this school's already crappy, you really wanna embarrass it more by failing so hard? Kacchan wrecking her self-confidence

Sometimes I do feel like I'm a failure, Like there's no hope for me. But even so. I'm not gonna give up. Ever!

"Is it possible to become a hero even if I don't have a quirk?"

All might froze at her words.

"I'm a normal kid without any powers." Izuku looked at All Might in desperation "Could I ever hope to be someone like you?"

Meeting All might was a dream come true. A real miracle. Standing in front of me was the hero I idolized most of my life. I didn't realize it at the time but that chance encounter would change the course of my future.

The screen went black.
