Chapter 22: Meet Up

Ash, Serena and Saphira arrive at the Johto Region and they find Mark and Lillie, who are just back from the Hoenn. "Brother." Mark says to Ash as he shows the two gems.

"We also got two gems as well. So the Water Gem is in the Whirl Islands, right?" Ash asks.

"Yes. And how is little princess doing?" Lillie bends down to Saphira as she gives her a hug.

"I have been being a good girl, you can ask Papa." Saphira says.

"Well, she did help us get the Ice Gem back in the Alola Region." Ash says. But then they notice the traitors are floating on pieces of wood as they are sent from the Grandpa Canyon. "Oh no, not them..." Ash mutters.

"What are we going to do now?" Mark asks.

"We've to leave before they..."

"Ketchum!" The traitors spot them as they quickly get themselves out of the water.

"Find us." Ash says. "What do you guys want?" Ash turns around and asks them coldly.

"How dare you make your brother attack us." Max yells.

"It is not my fault." Ash says coldly. "Besides, now that you here, I demand my Pokemon back."

"And what if we don't?" Misty asks, only to be fired with the Moonblast by Serena's Sylveon. Bonnie asks, "Serena, why are you attacking us?"

Serena says, "You know damn well. I have to suffer from my love for Ash because of your greed. You force me to love a man I don't love and break Ash's heart. I want you to suffer the pain I endure."

Sylveon fires a Dazzling Gleam, and then she also sends out Pangoro to use Stone Edge, the traitors are trying to dodge as the other four are surprised.

"Mama is so scary now..." Saphira says.

"Can't blame her." Ash mutters, "Serena, that's enough." Ash then uses the power of the Psychic to take the Pokeballs from their belts, inside the Pokeballs are Charizard, Sceptile, Infernape, Krookodile, Heracross, Noivern, Lycanroc, Gengar, Snorlax and Lucario. All of them are free as they rush to Ash, hugging him.

"I am sorry, I didn't want you to suffer." Ash says, and they also tell him that the others are traded away or died, causing Ash to be in such fury.

"Hey, give it back." They yell, but Ash says, "No, they are mine and you stole them just like what Team Rocket would do. Not only that, you killed the other Pokemon I raised and you are going to pay for that."

Ash freezes them with the power of Blizzard and then uses the move Flash to escape. Once they are out of the sight, Mark says, "Good riddance."

"Talk about it." Ash says. "Now that I have my Pokemon back, we should not waste more time to get the gems."

Mark and Lillie bid farewell to the two as they go to the Whirl Islands. With the help of Lugia and Kyogre, they find the secret cove that contains the Water Gem. But it is blocked by a barrier, Lillie asks, "How are we going to get that?"

Mark asks Lugia the same question, as he tells them that the dance is able to break the barrier, so they learn the dance and with the Silver Wing, they manage to break the barrier with ease and grab the Gem.

"Now that we got the gem, I think we should head back to the base, and it is a good thing that it is close." Lillie says.

"Yeah. And after seeing Serena's determination, maybe I was overreacting for her back then." Mark says.

"So you are going to forgive her?" Lillie asks.

"I might as well. Not only that, I heard from Brother that Minami has Alain as his partner." This causes shock to her. "Apparently, he really regrets his actions and he is trying to help us out."

"Then maybe it is a good idea." Lillie says as they return to the base.

Here is a new chapter and Ash gets some of his Pokemon back while the others are gone. As for those he left for training or released, they are not count for the Pokemon they got.
