A/N: Yes, yes. AMAZING name for a story, I know. My creativity aside, here's another story I hope you guys will like. Basically, Izuku has Josuke's personality and is very protective of his hair. It's better than it sounds. Enjoy!

*Action* / *Sound*

'Thinking'

"Speaking"

"All Might"

Disclaimer: I don't own My Hero Academia or any of its characters. I also do not own any products mentioned in the story.

"It's the state of my heart. It's not about having confidence or having no fear. I can't think about that when I have lives to save. I'm a hero! That's why I protect people. That's what chivalry is to me."

A young Izuku stared at the TV, stars in his eyes. His smile widened as he looked at the hero. He knew what he wanted to be.

"Mom!"

"What is it, sweetie?"

"I want to be just like Crimson Riot! I want to be a hero!"

"Of course. I know you'll be the best hero."

"His hair is so cool! I wanna style my hair just like him!"

"E-Eh?"

Izuku Midoriya was what one would call plain. His face didn't really make him stand out besides his freckles. His build though muscular from the rigorous training he put himself through was always hidden by his clothes and his quirk wasn't all that complicated. The ability to control each individual strand of hair. Nothing to scoff at but was pretty tame compared to other more complex quirks. All in all, Izuku Midoriya did not stand out much... Well unless you discount his rather unique hairstyle.

"WHAT DID YOU SAY ABOUT MY HAIR?!" a green haired teen yelled, glaring daggers at his blonde friend.

"YOU HEARD ME, SHITTY POMPADOUR!!" the explosive teen yelled back.

"COME HERE AND SAY IT TO MY FACE!" Izuku shouted, already using his quirk to ready his hair for attack.

"FUCK YOU!" Bakugo shouted, letting loose an explosion.

*BOOM*

Such was the norm at Aldera Junior High. Many of the student body and teachers had come to terms that this would be a part of their daily lives so long as they continued attending said school.

"Bakugo. Midoriya. Stop fighting and pay attention. You can fight after school," the teacher said half heartedly, far too used to the frequent Interruptions. "Or would you two prefer detention?"

Grumbling, both boys sat down but not before giving each other one last glare. Sighing, the teacher continued, "Now I COULD give you aptitude tests but I know that most of you want to be heroes!" The class erupted into cheers as the teacher threw the papers.

Knowing he still had to maintain order, the teacher spoke, "Yes, yes. All of you have amazing quirks but no quirk usage in school."

"Hey teach! Don't lump me in with these extras!" Bakugo yelled, a smug grin on his face. "I'm the best! These losers would be lucky to end up as sidekicks!"

"You think you're better than us?!"

"We'll show you!"

"Fuck you, Bakugo!"

Cries of protest rang throughout the class but Bakugo just smirked. "Bring it on! I'll take you all on!" His hands were already sparking.

"Well, you do have impressive test scores so perhaps you will enter U.A.." At this the entire class broke into murmurs, not really believing that he could be accepted into such a prestigious school. Smirking a little, the teacher added. "Midoriya. Your scores are nothing to laugh at too. Maybe you will be accepted as well."

"Huh?! You think that shitty nerd will get in?! I'll be the only one getting in!" He shouted before slumping into his seat and mumbling to himself. "But I guess if anyone besides me had a chance in this class, it would be him." Let it be known, Bakugo was a Tsundere through and through.

"I don't THINK, Kacchan. I KNOW I'll get into U.A.." Izuku responded, eliciting a round of 'Oooohs' from the class.

Bakugo slammed his hands on the table. "Listen here you little sh-"

"Okay. That's enough. You can work this out later," the teacher said before he turned to the board and mumbled. "I swear those two have the weirdest friendship..."

-A Few Hours Later-

*RIIIIING*

The bell rang as school was let out. Currently, Izuku was walking home, having avoided Bakugo as to not deal with his rival's pride. He was in a pretty good mood and did not want that to be ruined.

"Oh goodie. A fresh meat suit." a voice said as Izuku turned around to see slime coming out of the sewers.

Aaaaand mood ruined.

Izuku gulped. "A villain!"

The villain chuckled as he grabbed Izuku and started suffocating him. "Don't worry this won't hurt me."

Izuku tried launching strands of hair but the villain just absorbed the attacks. He struggled but it proved to be fruitless. He could feel the slime warping around him even more.

"Yes. You'll make a fine disguise. The hair is a little weird though." the villain said, effectively digging his own grave.

Izuku snapped. "WHAT DID YOU SAY ABOUT MY HAIR?!" He sent barrage after barrage of hair at the villain with multiple strands hitting the eyes.

The villain cried out in pain. "You little shit! I'm gonna enjoy killin-" a yellow blur interrupted the villain mid speech with a punch. Izuku coughed as he pulled himself out of the now immobile slime. Suddenly m, a deep voice caught his attention causing him to look up.

"Haha! Sorry I'm late but navigating the sewers in a new place is hard!" Izuku nearly fainted when he saw who it was.

'THE NUMBER ONE HERO IS STANDING IN FRONT OF ME! OH MY GOSH! HE LOOKS SO MUCH TALLER IN REAL LIFE! I CAN'T BELIEVE THIS IS HAPPENING! I THINK I'M GONNA PA-'

Actually, scratch that. He did faint.

"Wh-What h-happened?" Izuku said as he sat up, rubbing his head. He looked around only to find a note on the ground.

"I'm sorry to leave so suddenly but a hero's work is never done! As an apology, I've given you my autograph. It's in your notebook." A flash of memories flooded his mind. The villain, a yellow blur, him passing out... Checking his notebook to find the hero who saved him, his eyes widened in shock.

'I-I g-got All Might's signature!' he thought in excitement as his hands trembled. All Might was his second favourite hero after all. Another thought hit him. 'Mom! Oh she must be worried.' Not wanting his mother to worry further, he got up and grabbed his stuff as he started walking. He would have to explain to his mom that he was attacked but he could handle that. Well he would explain if it weren't for the fact that ANOTHER villain attack had taken place along the way. Maybe he could squeeze through the cro-

"Those explosions are everywhere! None of the heroes can get near!"

'Explosions? Oh no.'

Izuku pushed through the crowd, trying to get to the front. His fists clenched when he saw that he suspicions were confirmed.

'Bakugo!'

Izuku glanced at his friend worriedly but as soon as he saw his eyes... He charged. As he ran towards the explosive teen, Crimson Riot's words echoed in his head.

"I don't have time to think about fear when lives are on the line."

With his spirit burning brightly, Izuku shot strands of hair at the villain's eyes, blinding him. He then jumped towards Bakugo, trying to pry the teen out of the slime.

"What are you doing here?! You'll die!" A look of concern flashed across his face before turning into a glare.

"I can't just let you die!" Izuku shouted before a voice was heard.

"How can I call myself a Pro when I'm letting you kids do all the work!" All Might shouted, punching the villain so hard it started to rain. "Detroit Smash!"

"He punched it so hard the weather changed!"

"It's really All Might!"

"Holy crap! Did you see that?"

Izuku sighed in relief, glad that it was over. He looked over to the sidelines to see the Pros looking VERY unhappy. 'Well this could take a while.'

-One Boring Lecture Later-

After a half an hour long lecture and being chewed out by the Pros, Izuku walked home, his shoulders slumped in exhaustion.

"It's been a long day. I can hear the bed calling my name already." But before he could relax, the number one hero appeared in front of him.

"Young man!" the hero bellowed, standing in his signature pose.

'I just wanna go home...' Izuku thought in dismay with his head down.

*Poof*

Izuku looked up only to find a skeleton like man in front of him.

"Don't freak out but... I'm All Might."

Izuku just groaned. 'I REALLY wanna go home...'

"Eat this!"

Izuku stared at All Might dumbfounded. The hero wanted him to what?

"You want me to what?"

"Eat this!" he responded as he held out a strand of hair.

"You better not be making a joke about my hair," the greenette said, clearly not amused. "I thought I was supposed to inherit your power."

Knowing how sensitive the boy was about his hair, All Might quickly defused the situation. "This is no joke, Young Midoriya. To inherit my power, you must take in some of my DNA. Normally, I'd have you build up muscle first but from what you've told me, you already have the build for it." Okay. This was definitely not how he thought it'd go. Well at least his training paid off. "Don't worry. I used some scented shampoo to make it taste better."

Looking resigned, Izuku took the hair and swallowed it. "Ugh. Okay what do we do now?"

"Now we wait for you to digest." All Might said, his chest puffed out. And so they waited.

...

...

...

"I brought a few board games we could play."

"Yes, please."

-A Few Rounds Of Monopoly Later-

"Bankrupt again..." All Might sulked. Who knew the number one hero was this bad at finance...

Coughing awkwardly, I spoke up, "All Might. I think I can feel One For All."

Getting out his depression, All Might jumped to his feet. "Good. It's time for your step in mastering One For All."

"So how do I activate it?" the green haired teen asked, stretching his limbs in preparation.

"You'll need to feel it. Clench your butt cheeks and yell SMASH!" All Might said, throwing a punch at the ocean, splitting it in half. Turning to his protégé, he continued, "Think of it as an egg in a microwave."

"Microwave? If the microwave is set too high, the egg will explode. So if I put out too much power, then I'll put too much strain on my arms. Too much heat and it'll explode. Nice and slow is the best way to cook it fully. That means I'll have to use only a small percentage of One For All!" Izuku muttered, surprising All Might with his word vomit.

'Is this gonna be a thing with him?' All Might thought to himself as he watched his successor prepare himself.

Closing his eyes, Izuku summoned what he guessed was one percent to his arm. Feeling that he could handle it, he increased it to two then three then four before feeling some pain. "It seems like three percent is my limit for now," he said as faced the water. Clenching his fist, he threw a punch causing the water to split.

"Holy cow, Young Midoriya! You already learned to use One For All without breaking your bones! I knew I chose right!" All Might laughed.

Hearing that last bit of information, Izuku stared at the hero. "Wait. You knew I was gonna break my bones," Izuku said, narrowing his eyes at him.

"U-Um. Well I had an inkling. What with the p-power output and all that." Izuku just stared at the hero.

"Right. And you didn't tell me... Why?" Izuku said, his tone growing dangerous near the end.

"Oh. I think that's enough training for today." All Might tried to deflect but Izuku continued staring. "Well, would you look at that. I think it's time I take my leave!" The hero's voice increased slightly near the end as he ran, hoping to avoid his successor's wrath. Izuku gave chase, shouting profanities as he shot strands of hair at the fleeing hero.

And thus Izuku's first day of training ended with him chasing the number one hero across the beach. Things could only get weirder from here on out.

A/N: So did you like it? Tell me what you think in the reviews and criticism is welcomed. Hate however will be ignored.

The chapter is a little on the short side cause it's just a short introduction. The real fun starts when Izuku starts training. As for the pairing... I haven't decided it yet. Maybe Ibara or Pony just because I feel like it. Maybe even both or more. Tell me what you think.

Yes, I made Crimson Riot Izuku's idol instead of All Might. That doesn't mean Izuku dislikes All Might. He's still the hero nerd we know and love but more confident and All Might is still one of his favourites. I originally wanted to make Izuku's backstory a little more serious with a kidnapping or something but I scrapped it cause I wanted this story to be a little more light hearted. Do you think I did the right thing? I won't be changing the backstory since this one opens more doors for me in the future but it'd be nice to know your opinion.

One last thing. Is anyone able to make art of Izuku with a pompadour? I know this might not get much attention since I don't really have a big following yet but I wanna just throw this out there anyway. If you have the art, PM me. Thanks in advance.

Well, that's all I have to say. Bye! See you, hopefully, in my other stories.
