Note: I used real information on the Valley of the Kings and King Tut so i'm not making it all up. Not all the chapters will be long. Also Danny gets his miraculous about the same time that Marinette and Adrien receive theirs.
Prologue
News spread fast that a team of archeologists found the tomb of the late king Tutankhamun. Many of the rooms were discovered and over 5,000 artifacts were recovered all except one. A little girl grabbed a little hexagonal box from the rest of the artifacts and ran to her family's tent and sat down on her cot.
She looked at the box that she managed to hide. The box was about the size of a large onion. It was in good condition for over 3,000 years underground. She tried to open the box only to find that she couldn't. She flipped the box on its side to see a thin band of neon green around the seam of the box so it would not open. The girl set the box down to look at her hands to find that they were covered with greenish black dust that had been rubbed off the box.
After she had her hands clean from the dust she grabbed a moist rag and began to clean the box to find it was made of dark wood that looked almost black. The more she cleaned she found that the box had a gold hinge that kept the two pieces of wood together. Then she noticed the top of the box had some kind of green design on it. She gently cleaned the dust off to see a unique pattern on the box. She couldn't tell if the pattern was Chinese or of Japanese origin. She worked profusely to clean the seam only for her to get frustrated that nothing she tried worked to get the green band off. She put it down in her cot under her pillow so her father did not see her steal one of the artifacts from the discovery and went to have dinner.
A few months passed and she was still not successful in opening the box. She had placed it in one of her dressers drawers. She went to see her father if he could help open the box. She went to his study and found Howard Carter distraught. "Mr. Carter?" she asked. He looked up to see her in the doorway looking confused. "Hello Evelyn" he replied. She walked over to Mr. Carter and found the newspaper on her father's desk. "What is wrong Mr. Carter?" She looked at him and went back to the paper. He sighed "Your father Lord Carnarvon has passed away recently" he told her. She looked at him and was surprised "F-father?" she asked.
The Curse of King Tut had claimed many lives that had entered the tomb of King Tut. Evelyn Herbert laid on her deathbed with her daughter Patricia by her side. "Patricia?" asked her mother. "Yes mother? What is it? Do you need anything?" Patricia answered. "My dear Patricia I need you to do something for me" Her mother looked over to her nightstand and opened the first drawer and pulled out the box she had found so many years ago in Egypt. She held out the box to her daughter to take. Patricia looked at the box and set it down next to her as her mother passed away. Patricia had forgotten all about the box over the years.
The box found its way into so many hands over the past years. Until it found its way into the hands of a gypsy merchant who had it with her when she had arrived in a little town called Amity Park.
