A New Club And New Friends
Well Fanfic brothers and sisters…this is it! The conclusion to this story! I've really enjoyed writing this, and I hope you enjoyed it as well! I'm not going to say too much! 3 Months Later….
Three months had passed since the samba club went up in flames, and Douglas' sacrifice stopped his father from hurting anyone else.
Blu was speeding through the jungle, dodging trees swiftly in the process. He had the biggest smile on his beak because he had received amazing news. "Come on, where are they! I've got to tell everyone!"
Everyone else was relaxing by the stream, enjoying the hot weather and splashing around in the water. They had a long day of sitting in the sun and they needed to cool off.
Peter sat on the far end of the stream, talking to Diante and Raul about the possibility of staying in Rio. Although, Raul wasn't entirely sure wether they should just leave everything behind in São Paulo.
"You knows guys…why leave Rio? Why not stay here?" Peter asked enthusiastically, dipping his large talons in the shallow end of the stream.
Diante lifted his head up towards Peter and slowly started to form a warm smile towards his friend.
"Why not? I love it here better than I love São Paulo! The locals are friendly, the city is more lively, and we actually have good friends over here!" The smaller white hawk replied happily. But Raul had a very good thing to point out.
"If we stay here, who will run the club?" Raul remarked, giving Peter a concerned facial expression.
"I'm sure Zavier can handle himself! He may be young but he knows how to keep a business together!" Peter replied while placing a comforting wing on his friend's shoulder.
"Well alright then! Let's stay in Rio!" Raul beamed in agreement as he high fived Peter and fist bumped Diante.
A few metres away from them, Pedro and Zara were holding wings while relaxing in the water. They didn't want to say a single word because they were enjoying their peaceful moment. "Man…this is the life! Perfect girl, perfect day!" Pedro thought in his head while leaning back in relaxation.
Meanwhile on the other side of the stream, Tanya was resting by the shallow water while dipping her talons in the cool stream. Nightfly came behind her and wrapped his wings around in a warm embrace.
"Well hello there darling! How's my beautiful girlfriend today?" Nightfly softly spoke, kissing her slightly on the beak which made her giggle and blush.
"I'm alright my handsome macho bird! Where did you go?" She responded soothingly, as he sat down beside her enjoying the cool water brushing against his feet.
"I was trying to help Nico and Purita find a good spot in the jungle to set up the club. I got tired after a few hours so I asked Blu to cover for me!"
"Wasn't he supposed to spend the morning with Jewel?"
"Yes, but Jewel has been feeling a bit rough lately. She woke up this morning feeling quite nauseous!"
"Hmmm, that's strange. I wonder if she's…" She didn't get a chance to finish because someone familiar had cut her off.
"HEY GUYS! I GOT TWO SETS OF GREAT NEWS!" Everyone turned to face Blu who landed right beside Pedro and Zara who were having a moment in the sun. Both of them groaned and stood up in irritation.
"Yo Blu! I was trying to kiss my gal here! What's the deal bird?" Pedro replied annoyingly, crossing his wings and narrowing his eyes at the blue male.
"So, the first piece of good news is, that we found a new area to set up the new club! It's absolutely perfect!" Blu happily squawked while clapping his wings together.
"Oh you did? That's great! Great job Blu bird! What's the second piece of good news!" Pedro replied excitedly while holding wings with Zara as she blushed a deep red.
"All in good time my friends! For now I'll show you where we are going to set up! Everyone come with me!" Blu signalled with his left wing for everyone to follow him. They all looked at each other and nodded their heads as they flew after the blue male.
They flew towards the city altogether. Feeling the warm breeze brush against their feathers as they glided above the city of Rio.
Nico and Purita were waving from a certain building that Tanya, Zara and Rafael immediately recognised. The trio stopped and hovered in mid air while the others just turned to look at them in confusion.
"You alright there guys? What's wrong?" Blu innocently asked while tilting his head sideways. Rafael shook his head in annoyance and flew up to the blue male with an annoyed glare.
"Amigo! When you said you found a new place, you never mentioned it would be the jongo club!"
"What? What's wrong with that?"
"Erm…have you forgotten about what happened three months ago? They burned down our club! Me and Eva met at the samba club!"
"So did me and Jewel! But that's in the past now! We have to look to the future!"
"Oh alright…so you thought setting up the club in the ENEMIES club was a good idea?" Rafael sarcastically responded while narrowing his eyes at him.
"What other choice do we have Rafi? At least let us check it out first!" Pedro cut into the conversation. He patted the toucan on the back and dove to the ground to meet Nico and his cousin inside the club.
"Fine! But, I'm not very happy about this!" Rafael responded with a huff. Everyone turned to each other and chuckled slightly before slowly descending to the ground to check the place out.
"Hey Nico! Did Jewel come back?" Blu wondered as he fist bumped his yellow friend. Nico only nodded with a smile and pointed to the entrance of the jongo club.
"She's right inside! Although she did say there was something that she needed to tell you. Eva is in there with her already!"
"Thanks bro! I'll head inside and speak with her!"
Blu waddled into the club entrance and spun around to share his thoughts on the club itself.
"I know this seems a bit strange being in here! But we can totally change this place around! I mean…it's not too far from the market. We can redecorate the inside of the club, and we can have a grand opening at midnight tonight! That was the second piece of good news! What do you guys think?"
The multiple birds all began to think long and hard. They were pacing up and down the club while staring at the structure of the building. The walls, the bar, the lights, and speakers etc. All of them were quite happy with the location. Well…Rafael still needed convincing.
"I don't know amigo. It feels weird being here!"
Eva got up from the table where she was sitting and placed both her wings on his shoulders to relax him.
"Come on my pudgy papaya! Give this place a shot for me? If you say yes…I'll sing for you on the grand opening?"
"NOOOOOOO!" Everybody excluding Tanya, Zara, Peter, Diante and Raul shouted all at once. Eva just dropped her smile and sent daggers over to her friends, including Jewel. "Come on…is my singing really that bad?"
"YESSSSSS!" They chorused again while crossing their wings. Eva only smirked and rested her head on Rafi's chest.
"Or we can just have a dance?"
"Alright…but as long as Blu sings the same song he sang the day he met Jewel!" Rafael shot Blu an evil smirk and Jewel gave Blu a dreamy smile. He blushed deeply in embarrassment and formed a confident smile.
"Sure! I can do that!" The blue macaw replied enthusiastically. Jewel kissed him on the cheek and stood beside him.
"Alright then…let's set up our new samba club!" Rafael beamed to which everyone clapped their wings and got to work immediately.
10 hours later – Time: 11:58pm
The club had been redone in half a day! All birds were lining up outside of the club ready to enter. Nico and Pedro had just finished preparing themselves for the night, and Blu was on stage with them getting ready to sing the first song of the night.
"Thanks for letting us run the bar guys! We won't let you down!" Peter thanked his new friends while the other two white hawks started preparing the cups for the thirsty customers.
"Listen Blu! You sing the first song. Then we will sing I Wanna Party, and apparently Nightfly wants to sing a song for a certain someone! You ready?" Pedro asked him confidently as himself and Zara were about to open the doors. Blu took a deep breath and got ready for the opening night.
"Yeah I'm so ready for this! Let's get this show on the road!" He beamed excitedly as the doors flew open and the birds of all species came rushing in.
"HELLO LADIES AND GENTLEMAN!" Nico announced to the crowd as they happily cheered for their favourite singer on the stage of their new home. "WE HAVE A SPECIAL NIGHT PLANNED FOR YOU! BLU WILL SING TONIGHT! OUR MANAGER NIGHTFLY WILL SING! WE WILL SING TONIGHT! ALSO LET'S GIVE A WARM WELCOME TO OUR NEWEST MEMBER…OUR THREE NEW BARTENDERS PETER, RAUL AND DIANTE!"
The three white hawks waved to the crowd who cheered extremely loud for them in response. Jewel waved to Blu as she was drinking what looked like a cup of mango juice…on its own?
"Huh? I wonder why she's not mixing it with vodka?" Blu thought to himself as Nico and Pedro stood beside him.
"Alright! Let's get this party started! HIT IT!" Pedro beamed to Kipo and Tiny who were standing at the DJ stand. Tiny turned the power on and Kipo pressed play.

Nico: Ladies and Gentlemen,
We got a special treat for you tonight,
Pedro: We got a friend here who's going to sing for you ladies,
Blu! Let's go man!

Jewel blew her lovehawk a kiss as she sat next to Eva and Zara swaying to the music. Tanya was on the dancefloor with Nightfly shaking their tail feathers.
Blu: We're getting sweaty hot and heavy in the crowd now,

Nico and Pedro: Yeahhh,
Blu: I feel the music moving through your body,

As the song came to a close, the whole club lit up and everyone roared with praise and excitement. Blu took a bow and flew off the stage towards his smiling girlfriend who kissed him on the side of his beak.
"Just as good as the first day we met!" Jewel seductively whispered while batting her eyelashes. Blu blushed in response and wrapped his wing around her as Nico and Pedro got prepared to sing their song.
"Honey? Want to dance?" Blu extended his wing towards her, but what surprised him was that Jewel just shook her head.
"Maybe in a bit sweetheart. I'm feeling a little dizzy this evening!" Jewel responded unsurely, looking down at her feet for some reason. Blu shrugged his shoulders and returned his gaze to the samba birds.
"WHO WANTS TO PARTY?!" Nico beamed with excitement towards the crowd who cheered extremely loud in response. "Alright! Let's get ready for I Wanna Party!"
Kipo pressed play as Tiny adjusted the lights for the next song.
(Authors note: If I list the lyrics for every song we'd be here all day xD)
As the song went on, Nightfly was swaying to the music with Tanya stepping on his toes every few seconds. She felt so embarrassed, but Nightfly found it quite cute.
"Ouch! You did it again," Nightfly chucked in amusement while Tanya just blushed in complete embarrassment. She stepped back a couple of paces and just spun around in a circle.
"Sorry! I haven't danced with anyone before! I mean I gave lap dances to Douglas in the club but that was all!" Tanya realised what she had just said and quickly covered her beak to stop talking.
"Douglas…." The blue macaw male trailed off, dropping his smile and replacing it with a more gloomy expression. "My friend…my saviour."
"Oh I'm sorry honey! I didn't mean to…"
"It's ok…I am going to sing the next song anyway. I want to sing a song to pay tribute to the bird who saved my life!" He started to sniff and tear up as felt very emotional every time he thought about it.
Instead of replying with words, Tanya leaned in and passionately kissed Nightfly on the beak. This managed to calm him down as he kissed back and savoured the moment.
As the song drew to a close, Nightfly broke from this kiss and bowed like a gentleman with Tanya curtsying in response like a lady. They both walked over to the bar where Peter was having trouble serving a certain someone.
"Malcom you've already had too many! You need to slow down before you get really drunk!" Peter warned the scarlet macaw, who clearly drank his beverages too quickly.
"What are you talking about? I only had three!" Malcom responded, slurring slightly in annoyance. Peter only sighed and gave him a glass of water.
"Look just take a water, and I'll serve you later when you've sobered up more!"
"Fine!" The grumpy scarlet macaw mumbled as he slowly waddled his way over to Lexi, who only giggled at him. Peter turned his gaze towards Nightfly and Tanya and smiled warmly at them.
"What can I get you hero?"
"I'm no hero Peter. Douglas…he was the hero!" He looked down at the floor tearing up again. Before Peter could say anything else to him, Pedro announced who was up on stage next.
"LADIES AND GENTLEMEN! PLEASE CLAP YOUR WINGS TOGETHER FOR…NIGHTFLY!"
The blue macaw male kissed his girlfriend on the cheek and flew on stage where Pedro was waiting for him. Tanya turned to Peter and ordered her drink.
"Can I just get a Cointreau and lemonade?"
"Absolutely! Coming right up!" Peter turned away to make the drink that she requested. Nightfly began to clear his throat and prep himself for the next song.
"Alright ladies and gentlemen! I'm going to slow things down a bit! I know a lot of you would question me for singing this song! But it's a tribute to the guy who save my life three months ago! Even though he betrayed the samba club, he showed us courage, honour and friendship! He will be missed! This is for you Douglas! Hit it!"
Kipo changed tracks on the DJ stand as Tiny flipped a switch to make a spotlight appear on the blue male as the whole club was in complete silence.

As the song went on at the beginning, some couples made their way to the dancefloor to slow dance to the music. Pedro and Zara stood up and joined them, Rafael and Eva followed suit. Blu turned to Jewel who only gave him a worried smile.
"Please Jewel? I promise we can stop at any time if you want to stop?"
Jewel looked at her boyfriends wing and gulped nervously while standing up and taking his wing. "Of course honey…just not too fast ok? I'm not feeling that well."
Blu nodded in agreement and led his girlfriend to the dancefloor as they both wrapped their wings around each other gently and swayed to the music.

The song kept building up and got more soulful than the beginning. Tanya admired how beautifully Nightfly was singing and it made her tear up. Heck, even Diante was crying while serving a canary. The female canary just slapped him to return his focus on serving her.

The song was nearing its end and Jewel took a deep breath while looking at Blu with a very anxious smile.
"Erm…honey? I've got some news. It's…pretty…big!" Jewel started nervously while forcing an anxious smile.
Blu cocked his head to the side and narrowed his eyes slightly in a confusing manner. "Alright…what's the big news?"
"Alright…now just promise me you won't freak out!" She took a deep breath while taking a small step backwards.
"I promise!" Blu beamed, rubbing her shoulders in the process.
"Blu…I'm pregnant!" She beamed happily, placing a wing on her belly.
"You're pregnant…you are preg…" Blu didn't get to finish his sentence because he fainted on the dancefloor. Without distracting Nightfly, Malcom was luckily just behind him and caught him before he hit the floor.
"Wow this is weird…last time we met it was me knocked out cold!" Malcom anxiously smiled while trying to hold Blu up. Jewel slapped her forehead in annoyance.
"Yeah well, can you help me carry Blu to the table?" Jewel requested as the both of them proceeded to carry Blu over to the nearest table to help Blu wake up.
"Absolutely! Oh! I better use my secret to wake him up!" Malcom carried Blu to the table with the blue macaw female and set him down on the bird sized seat. Then he got his cup of water and threw it in Blu's face. He shot awake and started to panic. Lexi however started to shout at her boyfriend in anger and frustration.
"MALCOM WILL YOU STOP DOING THAT?!" Lexi shouted from the bar while shooting him daggers. Malcom nervously smiled and turned to face her.
"Sorry honey!" He ran over to the bar and left Jewel with her dizzy boyfriend. She decided to let him regain his consciousness as the song was coming to an end.
Nightfly: Today, today, today,
Today, today, today!
Sunny days seem to hurt the most,

The only thing that gives me hope,

The song came to dramatic end where Nightfly dropped his head and the spotlight had been turned off by Tiny for effect.
Everyone cheered really loudly for Nightfly, clapping their wings and throwing roses on the stage towards him. He bowed several times and blew a kiss to the crowd before joining his girlfriend at the bar. She literally had no words to describe how good he was up there.
"So…what did you think?"
"That…was…incredible! You have the most beautiful singing voice I ever heard!" Tanya buried her face in Nightfly's chest as he pulled her closer to him. He enjoyed the moment while birds just smiled at the cute couple. However…Eva was a little irritated.
"The most beautiful singing voice shes ever heard?! I don't think so!" She stormed on stage and looked out to the audience who looked at her in shock and horror. Rafael immediately knew what he needed to do.
"Oh for the love of samba! Please don't sing! Please don't sing!" Nico said under his breath while hiding behind his bottle cap.
"I'm going to sing now!"
"NOOOOOOOO!" The crowd all said at once and some of them even left the club as Rafael escorted her offstage. She looked very insecure about this certain moment.
"Rafi? Am I really that bad at singing?"
"You sing like a river of the sweetest honey my juicy little mango! They just don't get it like I do!" The toucan replied to his wife while kissing her on the wingtip. She giggled in response and motioned with her wing to leave the club.
"Thank you my pudgy papaya! Now…let's go home and get some rest! My talons are killing me!"
"Alright my angel! Let me just say goodbye to everyone and we can leave!"
"Oh go on then! Don't keep me waiting too long!" She joker as she flew up to Jewel and hugged her goodbye. Rafael flew over to Blu who still didn't drop his shocked expression over what he just heard.
"Blu? Are you ok? You look like you've seen a ghost?"
"Woah me? No I'm not freaking out because Jewel is pregnant!"
"JEWEL IS PREGNANT?!" Rafael bellowed excitedly while jumping up and down like a crazed lunatic. "I KNEW IT! I KNEW IT! I KNEW IT!"
Kipo turned the music off and Tiny blazed the spotlight on Jewel who narrowed her eyes at Rafael while gritting her beak.
"RAFI! THAT WAS SUPPOSED TO BE A SECRET!" Jewel screeched while slowly approaching the older toucan. Pedro decided to speak up, but yet again his beak always gets himself in trouble.
"Ohhhh, now the mood swings make sense!" Zara slapped him on the back of his head and he whined in pain. But what was approaching him was a very angry pregnant female. Pedro gulped and started shivering with fear.
"THAT IS IT! TIME FOR ROUND TWO PEDRO!"
"Oh crap!" Pedro shot out of the club exit and Jewel chased him down while he was flying for his life. "Now come on Jewel! Let's be reasonable…OUCH! THAT HURT MY BUTT!"
"GOOD! IT WAS MEANT TO!" She screamed in response while tackling him into a tree.
"Here we go again!" Nightfly chuckled to himself as he just shut the doors to the club and just let Jewel give chase to the cardinal. He walked over to Blu who was already talking to Malcom, Peter, Diante, Kipo and several others. "Hey guys? Where did everyone else go?"
"Oh…they all left when Eva said she was gonna sing!" Nico smirked while winking at Eva who shot him a death glare.
"I just can't believe that Jewel is pregnant! I mean I'm happy, but what if I'm not ready to be a father?" Blu put his face in his wings and started groaning.
"Don't worry amigo! I have twenty children and I'm the happiest I've ever been!" Rafael responded while patting Blu on the back.
"Really? So you weren't scared?"
"At first I was…but you pick things up as you go along! It's natural instinct, and you'll be a great father!"
Blu thought about it for a second and realised that his friend was absolutely right. "You know…maybe it won't be so bad! Yeah! I'll be ok!"
"Oh…well then, I'd like to propose a toast!" Nightfly beamed as he raised his glass that was filled with mango juice, and everyone else did the same thing. "To Blu and Jewel becoming parents soon! To Nico and Pedro who have a new club to call home! To my girlfriend for being the most wonderful bird in my life! And to Douglas…for saving my life! For saving the club!"
"HERE HERE!" Everyone chorused at once as they all swigged their drinks rather quickly and savoured the taste.
Suddenly the doors flung open and Jewel drop kicked Pedro into the club. He had a scratch mark on his butt, and a few feathers were ripped out. He slowly got up and walked over to Zara who only giggled at her boyfriend.
"Oh come on! It's not that funny!"
"It is absolutely hilarious!" Zara cackled out loud, rolling on the floor in tears of laughter. Pedro only smirked and sat on the stage with Nico. The yellow canary turned to him and patted him on the shoulder.
"Pedro…we're going to be best friends forever right?" He asked nervously while twiddling his tiny wingtips together in fear.
"Of course bro! Why wouldn't we be?" Pedro raised a curious eyebrow towards his best friend.
"Well because Julio nearly ruined our friendship!"
"Nico…Julio is gone now! He can't hurt us anymore! I mean look at us now! We only had a few birds here together! Now we have an entire squad! If anyone comes back to challenge us, we will be ready!"
"I hope you're right…I really hope you are…"
A few hours later…
The club was just about to close and everyone made their way home back to their nests.
Rafael and Eva returned home to their twenty children, who all slept peacefully together in the cutest way possible. Just wait until they wake up the little rascals!
Blu and Jewel returned to their hollow in a slow and steady way. Because now that Jewel is pregnant, Blu has to do a lot more caring for her and getting breakfast every morning for her…that's going to be fun times for him!
Peter, Diante and Raul ended up staying together in the bedroom at the new samba club. Diante and Peter were against it, but of course Raul was keen on the idea. Oh well…what can you do?
Nightfly returned to his nest with Tanya and they decided to spend the rest of the night in each other's wings as they fell asleep. However Tanya was talking in her sleep saying she would love children some day! I wonder how that discussion will go?
Nico, Pedro, Zara, Kipo and Tiny stayed together in the beach pad, with Malcom and Lexi in the tree just behind them. Malcom and Lexi although did make a lot of noise because Lexi was still moaning at him about throwing water at Blu. For goodness sake he was only trying to wake the poor guy up!
All of our friends and family members fell asleep during this peaceful night in Rio. The lights in the city switched off and fell into a gloomy state.
It had gone dead silent and you couldn't hear any birds making sounds…well not loud enough to hear anyway. All the creatures were asleep, and the jungle was now peaceful…or so they thought!
"Phuaaaa! Grrrrrrr!" Suddenly a faint grunt and growl was heard from the market place. The noise came from a shadowy figure who peaked its head out of a broken market stand, snarling with rage. "…Nightfly! You…will…die!"
Well that is it! Thank you to all of you again who have followed my story from the very beginning! I had to leave it on a cliffhanger didn't I? I couldn't resist! Mainly because I am planning to do a future sequel to this story! It won't be written yet as I have other projects that I want to start first! But anyways! Sorry if the chapter was a bit short!
