In all his years as the talent scout for the SPD program, Naomasa had never seen a more suited candidate. Midoriya was strong, fast, incredibly intelligent, and clever to boot. Hell, the kid was a better shot than the pro hero Snipe. He had never actually seen him miss. A surprisingly skilled leader, Midoriya was proving to be all that teacher said he was and far more. Today was the final exam and Midoriya was by far the top scorer. He had absolute faith that the boy was what they had been looking for.

This year's candidates had all been exceptional, actually. All with their own skills, bringing something unique to the table that the others couldn't replicate. Just the way he wanted it. Such diversity in personality and capabilities would only serve them in the long run.

Tenya Iida was a very intelligent young man with a strong quirk. With engines in his legs, he was easily the fastest of the five candidates. With such a devotion to performing by-the-book, he would make an excellent cop. It sometimes was hard to tell whether he was a robot or not, but that's not important.

Momo Yaoyorozu was a skilled martial artist the likes of which he had only seen in professional tournaments. With a mastery of many different weapons and a quirk that could even make them, she would be a valuable asset. He was also 98% sure she could read minds, but the jury was still out on that.

Eijiro Kirishima was a walking riot shield. Naomasa is confident there's very few things that could hurt him that aren't quirk-based. A certified bomb disposal specialist, he got to be so skilled at it through "Trial and Error", which is slang for blowing up until he stopped blowing up.

Mina Ashido was a peppy young girl with insane flexibility and a penchant for the unusual. Be it fashion or strategy, she makes sure "Normal" is never used to describe her. I mean, really. Who breakdances as their form of combat? Despite her abnormality, she is certified as an EMT, and her upbeat personality will be sure to help keep morale high.

Yeah. This team's gonna be one for the history books.
