It was a Wednesday morning and I never thought I would hear from Zach again. It had been three weeks since I heard from him last. I didn't have a phone because what's the point in having it if I can't see the apps I download, the things I type when I text, and etc? So I just waited, and waited, and waited until I heard from him again. Soon, a month had gone by. Still no word from him. Then more weeks, and month passed and before I knew it, a year had come and gone.

Fall was just around the courner and I heard from Macey that people were already getting ready for Holloween. Yes, Macey and I were back to speaking to each other. She said she was sorry for not understanding and she has been careful with her words ever since. We were just about to start college. Macey and I always dreamed about going to the same one together and the dream came true. I couldn't be more excited!

One Friday morning I was sitting on the deck facing the street. Hoping that maybe, just maybe Zach would come by. I felt someone sitting next to me and Macey started talking. "You still waiting for him?" I nodded. "Girlie, It's time to go. College starts up in a week. We need to get settled in." "I know Macey. Just, I'm hoping. Maybe, just maybe he will show up. It's been a year. He said he would see me later. What did later mean for him Macey?" I asked. She then reached out and took my hand in hers. She held it there for what felt like forever. "He showed me a simple act of kindness no one ever has shown to me before! Sure, I had some issues with him being a jerk at first, but... He wasn't all that bad. I just wish he came back," I said as a tear leaked out of my eye. Macey must of saw because she wiped the tear off my face and pulled me close. "Cammie, Cammie, Cammie... I don't know what to say." Macey sighed but still held me close, rocking me. It reminded me of that time in third grade where I was new to being blind and people made fun of me. She was the only one there for me when I needed help. The only one who helped me up when I fell down. And that time in sixth grade when I had suicidal thoughts, she was there for me. She was the only one in my life who has been there every step of the way, pushing me along. My dad tried his hardest to be a good dad, but sometimes, even his love wasn't enough. But Macey's? She was like the sister I never had. My only best friend, and I loved her. "Cammie. It's time to go. We need to load thing in the car and then we will be gone. You need to say goodbye," Macey said.

"Okay. I think I'm ready, but, are you?"

"I'm as ready as I'll ever be."

Chapter number 3! Finished!! Hope you like it!

Taco: Thank you! I actually lived in an apartment building before, and there was a man that was blind, and he was friends with my mom. So I actually got this idea from him. So far you are the only one reading my story, and so I will keep it going for you.Enjoy!
