Four-year old Katsuki observed carefully the small explosions in his hand. After the doctor said that his sweat able to trigger an explosion. He and Izuku, his best friends, have done a lot of experiments in the past two weeks.

Today is Izuku's birthday and it has become a tradition of both families to celebrate each other's children's birthdays. He will even meet Izuku's father, a mentor for both of them who often teaches them the importance of balancing power and intelligence. Besides All Might, Izuku's father was a role model. His father once told him that his uncle was a fine martial arts trainer that very famous around the world before he got an offer from International Hero League.

The clock had shown the time to be promised and he was very impatient because Izuku's father had called him and Izuku and promised both of them to train both from an early age. After all, he managed to regain placement in Japan. With that spirit, he made sure that nothing wrong with his clothes which could delay their journey. He was very impatient to show his quirk to his uncle.

"Old Man, Old Hag when are we leaving?"

Katsuki shouted which usually would be greeted by screams from his mother as well. But this time, his mother did not scream at him but on the telephone.

"Inko! Hisashi what happened ?! Answer me! Inko! Hisashi! Izuku! Anyone!"

Katsuki turned to his father with confusion clearly written in his face but the father approached his mother instead and tried to calm over his wife.

"Mitsuki, why are you screaming?"

"Inko and Hisashi suddenly shouted for Izuku. I heard Izuku's screams and sound of crash but after that, there was no sound anymore ... and then ..."

The Bakugou's was clearly shocked when they heard the explosion from the telephone and with that, the telephone connection was cut off. Katsuki's parents looked at each other for a moment and immediately looked out the window just to find the direction of their best friend's house now becoming bright.

" No fucking way..."

Mitsuki quickly reached into her cellphone and tried to call Inko. The husband did the same thing but tried to contact Hisashi. Both immediately get the same result, answer from the operator that say the mobile number is not active. The two stared at each other for a moment, exchanging thoughts only by staring at each other's worried expressions. Both of them were immediately awakened by the screams of his only child who was now hanging on the edge of the window staring at a large fire that had just occurred

"Old Man ... Old Hag what happened ... Isn't there Izuku house?"

Katsuki is not a stupid kid. He knew very well that the fire that shined the night sky came from his best friend's house. He was also more convinced after looking at how his father and mother acted.

Masaru immediately turned on their television which was soon filled with news related to a fire in an apartment which was the residence of the Midoriya family.

"Heroes are on their way to the crime scene now. Seeing from the magnitude of the fire, we are afraid there will be no survivors."

The words immediately buzzed in Katsuki's head and with spontaneous movements he reached for the door and ran fast toward his friend's house ignoring his parents' call.

'This is must be a joke. Uncle is strong Hero Trainer, there is no way he will die. They are fine. Izuku has promised that we become Hero together and knowing the Nerd, he will not broke that promise.'

Katsuki continued to run through the crowd using his small body. The closer he walked to his friend's house, the more he heard comments saying how the crowd pessimistic about safety of the residents in the apartment was.

'They don't know anything. Aunt and Uncle are great people, they must be safe and Izuku ... he will be a hero. We both will be heroes' Katsuki thought and keep pushing his little leg to the limit.

When Katsuki arrived, all of his hopes began to disappear seeing how the fire had devoured the apartment. He didn't even care about All Might and the other Heroes, his eyes were only fixed on the fire as the memory of Izuku, Inko, and Hisashi's faces plays on his head.

He begins to hope again when Endeavor and the other Heroes had successfully extinguished the fire. When he was about to jump down to find his best friend, the police who happened to nearby immediately catch him.

"Fuck, let me go! I have to save my best friend! My uncle and aunt are in there, Fuck!"

"Calm down boy, the Heroes and the medical team have gone to check the area. You can wait in the ambulance" said the police that holding Katsuki who was still struggling to get out of the police grip.

After almost 15 minutes, Mitsuki and Masuru Bakugou, Katsuki's parents, had also arrived at the location and managed to hold their child. The three of them waited in the ambulance and looked closely at each of the bodies carried by the Heroes and the medical team. Katsuki did not even care about disgust and nausea every time he saw the burning corpse. He must know the conditions is the uncle, aunt, and his best friend.

An hour later, one of the medical parties approached the three. The medical personnel was accompanied by the police. Both of them saluted Bakugou before delivering their report.

"Sorry, there are no survivors. We are sorry for your loss."

With this message, Mitsuki fell on her knees, screaming at the demise of her best friend. Masaru immediately tried to support his wife's body with tears that kept flowing from his eyes. Katsuki, he feels empty. Slowly his vision became blurred before he finally let out a small sob.

"No Way," he whispered.

The whisper turned into a shout "This is impossible! The heroes are here right ?! They must have saved Izuku, uncle, and aunt. All Might is even here!"

Masaru and Mitsuki immediately notice their son because of Katsuki's shout. Both of them quickly caught the boy who once again wanted to run to the location.

"Let me go Old Hag, Old Man! Fuck! Izuku, Uncle, and Aunty, they are still there! Shit the Heroes, I will go save them!"

Mitsuki, who really understands what her son will do, makes the most appropriate decision to calm her son. He slapped the boy hard enough to make Katsuki passed out. Masaru, the medicals, and the police could only widen his eyes to see what Mitsuki was doing but they immediately understood that it needed to be done so that Katsuki would not do something reckless.

"We apologize for all the mess," Mitsuki said bowing slightly. Masaru bowed too. He then added

"Don't hesitate to contact us for any information regarding this incident. Midoriya's ... one of the victims of this incident is like a family to us. We will be very grateful for all the information you can provide."

The medical and police said that the victims would soon be buried the next day. A doctor who has an autopsy quirk has done his duty to every victim so they can do a funeral as soon as possible. Just like the instruction from government and Hero, Izuku Midoriya's declare death.

Katsuki woke up the next day only to realize that he was at the cemetery. He realized that he was wearing everything in black and that he was being held by his father, who was praying in front of three gravestones. Katsuki widened his eyes when he saw the names of his uncle, aunt, and best friend neatly carved there.

'This is not a nightmare. Uncle, aunty, and Izuku ... really died '

Katsuki's body began to tremble as tears streamed from her eyes.

Masaru, who realized that Katsuki had woken up, only gently stroked his son's ash-blonde hair. After he felt his son calmed down a little, he taught his son to offer his prayers as well.

The following days meant nothing to Katsuki. He did not attend school after that. Every food he ate was tasteless, every time he saw All Might, Izuku's shadow always appeared and it made him even more depressed.

"Like hell, it was just an accident. Someone killed them. The heroes and police didn't have enough evidence so they decided it was just an accident." said Mitsuki who then grabbed Katsuki's shirt

"Stop sulking like a fool! You want to be a hero, don't you? Then become one and bring justice to those who killed Inko, Hisashi, and Izuku"

Katsuki widened his eyes at that

"But ... All Might. Even he cann-"

"So what if All Might can't find the culprit. You and Izuku always say that you two will surpass All Might right?"

Katsuki gulped to see his mother glaring at him. Izuku's shadow returned

'We will become the number 1 hero who surpasses even All Might! You're will be always with me until we reached our dream, right ?! '

'That's right Kaa-chan. We will be Number 1 Hero together '

Katsuki was immediately awakened by the sound of sobs coming from his mother. The grip on his shirt weakened and he immediately felt himself being hugged tightly

"I'm begging you Katsuki ... be great heroes. Give them justice. I'm sure only you can do that"

That day, Katsuki's motivation to become a Hero changed.

"Fuck all the heroes. If they can't ensure that justice. Then I will bring that justice."

The years that followed were difficult times for Katsuki.

He began to train his body and quirk. That was enough to make him famous among his friends and teachers. But that never satisfied him. Every night since the incident, he had the same dream. A dream where he sees how the apartment is burning and he just falls silent without being able to do anything. Every time he woke up from the dream, he pushed himself to train harder until he made it to the UA Academy.

He did not care about the other students. The most important thing for him is to learn everything he can to become the strongest hero and bring justice to his best friend.

His first day at UA Academy immediately astonished him when their teacher, Aizawa Shota, guided them to the field.

"Hey ... what do you think Mr. Aizawa wants?" a pink-skinned girl who has eyes like raccoons asked the young man with red hair and sharp teeth.

Izuku only depends on his instincts, immediately turned around to give a kick right to Mirio's face who had just slid off the floor naked. With his left hand holding his pants, His right hand immediately grabbed Izuku's leg and toss Izuku down. Unfortunately to him, Izuku was able to roll so the landing did not give him any injuries at all.

Izuku who was still in a squatting position changed his stance again. This time he stretched out his legs with both hands in front of his chest which signaled to Mirio to immediately advance again

Mirio, who had finished using her pants again, only widened her smile

"I accept your challenge"

Once Mirio had reached the reach of his fists, Izuku immediately got up with a beat. Every fist from Mirio he holds with his elbows. When the fighting broke out, Aizawa commented again

"This time he used Wing Chun. It was very interesting to see that he mastered a lot of martial arts."

Mirio can feel how high his adrenaline now. Izuku already proves himself a worthy opponent. He's not a fighter who only relies on muscle strength, but also use his brain to formulate a strategy. Mirio who still had not had time to get rid of the dizziness after being slammed was immediately greeted again by Izuku who immediately sat on his stomach and sent continuous blows to his face and stomach. Mirio who was shocked immediately got ready to return the blows but was surprised when Izuku was no longer in front of him. He felt a touch from behind and kick back to greet his face. Izuku was able to blow a few punches to Mirio's chest before finally stepping again towards Mirio's blind spot.

"Young Midoriya used his speed to put his position constantly at the blind spot of Young Togata and attack quickly. I admit it was a good strategy for him."

All Might for the first time commented on the duel. Without waiting for a response from the others, he commented again

"Young Togata is clearly superior in terms of physical strength and endurance. His speed and agility are also not much different from his opponent. Izuku relies on his instincts to track Mirio again. He can find Mirio every time he slides out of the floor and responds to every attack. The duel had lasted for almost an hour and both of them began to fell how their stamina decreases fastly especially Izuku who was still not recovering much.

When Mirio once again slid out Izuku moved quickly to hold close combat. He forced his body to continue to pursue Mirio until finally both of them were throwing the fist on each other's cheeks. Both fell together. The Hounddog who had been preparing to count down was stopped by Nezu who could clearly see that both of them had fainted.

The duel over with a tie and the teachers don't need another test to convinced that Izuku is suitable for the Hero Class in UA Academy.

That's very remarkable duels, but the one that All Might really remember is when he have chance to chat with this remarkable vigilante alone. The moment the Vigilante show his detective skills that somehow push him to reveal a bit about his past.

Nighteye and Gran Torino even agree with him that Izuku Midoriya is really worthy candidate for One For All. After a while, All Might stood and heads to track field. He know that Aizawa will force his student on quirk assessment on their first day and there he can observed this young vigilante more.

He hope Izuku Midoriya can be his successor.

Aizawa felt that something bad would happened to him when he found the name Izuku Midoriya on the list of students who would be under his guidance.

On the first day of school, Aizawa acted like last year. He tried to sleep in his sleeping bag while he observed the new students and heard their conversation until the bell rang.

He realized that some students began to socialize with other students except for Katsuki Bakugou and Shoto Todoroki. Both of them are very remarkable from what he watch in their examination. Katsuki Bakugou was the first-ranked student in the entrance examination while Todoroki Shoto was a recommended student with exceptional talent and quirk.

He also noted that there was Uraraka Ochako, the girl who was almost struck by the Zero Points that seemed to have recovered. He had worried that the girl's leg was still injured for his plans later. After the bell rang and he saw the students still not moving to take their seats. He immediately showed himself.

This action immediately attracted class attention and instincly make their way to their assigned seats. Aizawa immediately murmured

Izuku looked a little confused when Katsuki called his name, when He doesn't even know him. He ignored it for a moment and turned to Aizawa.

"I'm a little lost that I almost late so I immediately went to the hall for orientation. After not finding the other 1-A students, Mirio-senpai told me that you have a special event that will take place here. They even told me about the clothes I should wear"

Bakugou, you're the first rank in the exam. I want you to throw the ball with your quirk. You can do whatever you want, as long as you remain inside the marked circle."

Katsuki nod his head and make his way to the throwing circle, stretching his arms as he readied himself.

' I will show all of you that I will suprasses even All Might !'

Winding up, Katsuki screamed out "DIE!" as the ball exploded from his hand, the blast sending the ball rocketing out, and the shockwave sending a few student scurrying back, some covering their ears and cursing under their breaths.

"Thanks for the warning, Jerk" Kyoka, the purple-haired girl grumbled in annoyance. Izuku seems to heard that and widens his eyes when he caught Kyoka appearance. He make a mental note to try speak to her after this. He observed the other students and it's just take him 5 minutes to already sketch their figures in his notes.

Aizawa held up a small device, with a score of 705,3 meters flashing on the digital screen.

" This test is the most rational way to form the foundation of a hero. Learn what you are able to do, and build from that" Izuku frowned at the first sentence. He can felt that Aizawa is up to something here.

It's looks he's not the only one to suspect something from Aizawa, but many student start to get excited at the idea of being able to use their quirks in test they hadn't been able to before, but Aizawa cut them off immediately " However, a hero can not be built on a weak foundation. This year, instead to accept a 36 student from general examination, principal just take 35 because it's the number of the candidate that already past the UA standard. Fortunately, we have student join in under special case that I hate to admit already on par with our Big Three." Aizawa looked right at Izuku, who just shrugged his shoulder. "So here what going to happen. You will each take part in a series of tests, and you will be allowed to use your quirks while you do so. These tests will determine who does not in this course. So after the test are done, the person with the lowest score will be expelled or transfer to General Class because that will show that him/her is not hero's material"

"EXPELLED!"

"TRANSFER TO GENERAL CLASS, DO UA EVEN HAVE THAT CLASS ?"

"That's not fair!"

Izuku just rolled his eyes hearing all their reaction.

"Life isn't fair, the sooner you all learn that the better. Villains, natural disasters, these things don't care about fairness" Aizawa cut in coldly.

Tenya frowned and stepped forward "Sir, is this kind of action even allowed? To let a single test determine if someone belongs here seems cruel not to mention unethical."

"What do you think the entrance exam was, but a test to see who belongs here?"

Tenya flinched as Aizawa continued, "As for ethics, teachers at UA are given free range to teach their class how they see fit. UA is well known for being unrestricted to common school traditions. Now does anyone else have a question, or are you all through wasting time?"

Izuku raised his hand to ask question "Well, I agree with your thought on the fairness, but isn't that Hero Job to ensure the fairness. Ah, but that just I want to say my thought. I just want to ask what so bad being the general class ?"

Aizawa frowned at Izuku question "Well, they will not got the Hero standard so it's will difficult for them to join the Hero License exam, though there's some general student who promoted to Hero class but the ratio is so low. Even in the UA history, there's just 5 general student got promoted to Hero class."

Izuku processed all the information and seems to got conclusions

'Being general student means there's not so much different from being student on another school. That's mean more free time to spend working or take care of Eri. I will try to get promoted on the last year to join the Hero License Exam. That's a neat idea' thought Izuku can't keep smiling which caught by Aizawa.

No one said anything after that.

"Good. I want you all to line up on the other side of the ball toss circle, we will do that test first. Hmm, Midoriya, come carry this bag. It has all the ball we'll need for the test"

As everyone else started to go where Aizawa pointed, Izuku collect the bag. Standing up, he was startled to see that Aizawa had paused in front of him, saying something to him "From your duel, I can already guess where your stats now."

"You have a great eye sir"

"That's being said, if you got under the top 7, everyone will be expelled" Izuku stare at Aizawa now

"What do you mean?"

"You hear me quite right. If you slack off and don't take this test seriously that can make you in the last position, I will expelled everyone in the I-A class"

"Are you threatening me?" Izuku hissed

"No. It's just a part of the assessment. " Aizawa turn around and shout " come, don't waste any time now"

Izuku drops the bag to the next circle, Izuku took his place with everyone else.

One by one, Aizawa called out the name of a student and they walk up and take their throw. A few clearly didn't have quirks that were suited for this test, while some did. Even while agitated about what Aizawa said, Izuku didn't pass up a chance to record all the quirks being used in front of him, mumbling to himself and quickly scribbling down note into his notes.

A few students gave him strange looks when he started. More than a few openly wondered where he had that notes stashed away. Izuku just ignored them. He just show reaction when Uraraka Ochaco scored the infinity in this throw. He scratched a few line on his note about quirk and highlighted some questions that he will asked with the next chance.

When Yaoyorozu Momo make the giant cannon from her chest, Izuku widens his eyes a bit, that quirk has the same ability with his teach. The girl just throw the ball to the cannon and she success made her throw about 1 Km. Well, so far there's just 4 throw that he need to anticipated … Uraraka Ochako, Yaoyorozu Momo, Katsuki Bakugo, and Shoto Todoroki.

He notice that Aizawa purposely just put his name in the last.

"Midoriya, you're the last. Take your throw and we'll move on to the next test"

"Yes, sir"

Making his way to the circle, he slowed when he saw Momo struggling to move the cannon she had created.

Katsuki felt his frustration continue to grow as he watched Izuku undergo some of the Aizawa's tests. Right in the last test, he felt his frustration peaked because he had succeeded in drawing conclusions
