Yesterday had been both amazing and intense. First, he began it by meeting his family, the one's that had forgotten about him all those years ago. But then it later changed to happiness as he fought and beat an Absol or should he say his Absol.

The red-eyed dark type had actually been watching over him for quite some time as he had been told by Katsumi. It was amusing to see his little guardian turn into a puddle of bliss after just five minutes of brushing her fur.

And even if she and Katsumi had fought they both held no grudge against the other and had become quick friends, something which wasn't surprising as dark types rarely ever held grudges against other pokemon of their own type and even gave their loyalty to the trainers who beat them. That was why he was much more comfortable around her than his sister Aurea.

He understood the pokemon and the typing associated with them a lot better than most, his knowledge on them even rivalled those of the Elite Four and Gym Leaders but even he knew that they knew more secrets about them than he did. Which was mostly thanks to the fact that they had learned and grew closer to their pokemon out in the wild.

Speaking of the wild. He was starting his adventure tomorrow alongside another three trainers that were coming all the way from Nuvema Town. Aurea had told him that they were the top three of their class and as such were selected to get there pokemon. If Naruto was being honest, he didn't really care much about them, to him, they were people he would never see or hear from again.

It was a wrong mindset to have, he knew that but his mind had always been a mess thanks to his photographic memory, which over the years he had been dealing with.

Aurea had left for the airport an hour ago which had left him with his pokemon. Wanting to get an early start over other rookie trainers he had begun training. Katsumi his loyal Zoroark had started learning Dark Pulse, something Absol who had the move had been slowly teaching her. Of course, in exchange for the move, Katsumi had to give a move back and as such Absol was learning how to use Flamethrower.

The new dark type had been struggling with Flamethrower as it was a completely new element she was trying to use. So far she had only been able to release small cinders from her mouth but that was it. Naruto knowing his job as the trainer was to help her he had shown her videos of the move being used, explained the element and had made Katsumi use it so that Absol could get a live example.

While this was going on with Absol, Katsumi had been making more progress. Even with the limited amount of experience she had with her own type she had still been able to summon enough energy for it to visibly appear in her hands. The problem was that it would fizzle out seconds later. Naruto wasn't worried though as for their first hour of training they had done quite well.

"Naruto!" he heard his sister call his name and turned around to see her standing by the backdoor waving him in. Understanding what she wanted he ended training and they made their way inside the lab.

Minutes later Naruto was standing in front of the famous Professor Oak with a shocked expression on his face. Absol sat by his side looking curious as to why her new master was acting like this whilst Katsumi had transformed into a Solosis and was floating over his left shoulder. While he would have trusted showing the only known Zoroark to the professor he didn't as he had brought along two other people with him.

A woman named Delia and her kid Ash, a 15-year-old kid who had travelled in other regions and had a Pikachu as a starter. He had greeted them politely and made small talk with them before moving his attention onto the professor who had been singing him praise over the papers he had wrote in the past, which had been published by his sister.

"I think that's enough professor Oak or you'll make Naruto's head burst with arrogance," Aurea said laughing and messing with his already messy hair, getting an annoyed glare from him. Though they both knew he wasn't really annoyed and actually enjoyed the little affectionate gestures she did.

They spoke for some more time before Aurea, Naruto and Ash headed to the front part of the building where the time for the rookies to choose their pokemon was soon going to happen. Whilst Aurea released them and Ash gushed over them Naruto had made his way to the side of the room and leaned against it with his pokemon joining him.

He didn't want to have any part in this as he himself had raised Snivy into a pokemon worthy of being a starter and even if he didn't show it both Katsumi and Aurea knew it hurt him seeing him go. He watched silently as the first trainer entered, going by the name of Trip. He had a small interaction with Ash making the immature kid mad before Trip had chosen Snivy and left for the battlefield with Ash following him.

You okay, Naruto? he heard Katsumi's mental voice ring through his head and silently nodded with his eyes closed, praying to Arceus that the trainer who had chosen Snivy would be able to unleash his full potential. The next time he had opened his eyes he saw Absol looking at him in concern and Aurea taking care of Oshawott, Tepig and a new Snivy.

Scratching Absol's head he spoke "I'll be fine, I just need some time," he said getting a confused look from Absol and an understanding look from Katsumi. Seeing Absol's confusion Katsumi decided to tell her new teammate why her trainer was reacting this way and five minutes later she herself now looked at him with understanding.

It wasn't until ten minutes later that the last rookies came in. A guy with a ducks butt for hair, a girl with bubble gum hair that couldn't keep her eyes of the guy and another girl who was looking at the ground as if she was shy. He guessed these were the rookies from Accumula Town that Aurea had been singing praise about, Naruto wouldn't lie, they seemed like nothing special but so did he.

And he was the one who had a shiny Zoroark in his team, the only Zoroark to be seen in hundreds of years. "Sasuke, Sakura and Hinata," Aurea said their names to get their attention and only succeeding with two them as the pink-haired one kept staring at the dude. "You three were the best of you're class and for this, you have the privilege of getting a starter and starting your journey," she said getting a smirk for the guy and a small smile from the shy one.

"Oi, Pinky if you keep ignoring the professor then you can forget about staring your journey," Naruto said getting everybody attention as his patience had dropped upon noticing the girl still ignoring Aurea. She sent him a dirty look before speaking "That's not true, my school and the professor signed a contract saying that we would get our starters under any circumstance" she said with a smug look.

Naruto sent his sister a curious glance, asking her if this was true and when she nodded he thought quickly of a comeback "That may be true but, oh I don't know if the contract suddenly vanished and there was no evidence of this contract then your point wouldn't be valid and you could kiss goodbye to your dream of starting a journey" he said with a certain gleam in his eye whilst his two pokemon smirked at seeing such a side of Naruto.

"The contract won't be suddenly disappearing Naruto," Aurea said butting into the conversation and sending him a warning. Naruto knowing not to get on her bad side silently nodded and stayed quiet ignoring the smug look that Sakura sent him.

Naive girl, he heard Katsumi say and nodded, seeing as Sakura finally started listening to Aurea. She had fallen for his little play quite easily and even though he knew it was wrong to manipulate people it was in his nature. As Aurea had put it, he was cunning like a fox.

Soon enough Aurea was done with her speech and allowed the rookies to choose their pokemon. Sakura chose Oshawott, Sasuke had picked Tepig and Hinata had gotten Snivy. Seeing that they were nearly done Naruto decided to go back to his room to get his bag before heading off, unluckily someone else had other plans.

"I challenge you to a battle"

Now Naruto was standing in front of not only Sakura but Sasuke too. The boy had challenged him first but with Sakura being a clingy fan girl Aurea had allowed it to be a double battle with Hinata joining Naruto. The starters and Absol were on the field and Naruto was planning on not only seeing how well his dark type fights but to also knock these kids down a level.

He could tell that they thought they were extremely good at pokemon related stuff thanks to the school and them finishing top of the board but the wild was extremely different. Right now they were at the bottom of the food chain and Naruto wanted to show them that fact in this battle. "Be as brutal and efficient as you want to be" he said to Absol but got a response from Sasuke instead.

"I was planning on doing that," he said and Naruto snorted, sure because his newly received Tepig would be able to do such stunts. Absol, on the other hand, understood her trainer perfectly, most dark types fought brutally because their bodies were built for it and while her's wasn't it didn't mean she couldn't be brutal. She was fast and slick which allowed her to attack her prey when they least expected it.

These children thought pokemon battles would be fair but they were in for a rude awakening as fighting against a dark type, none the less a dark type trainer was never a fair fight.

"Begin!" Aurea yelled and the match began.

"Tackle!" both Sakura and Sasuke yelled to their pokemon who ran at Absol and Snivy. "D-Dodge Snivy!" Hinata yelled next to him and he watched as the grass type ran away from the fire type that was chasing her. It seemed like their school only taught them the basics of battling as you could defend yourself by attacking, for example.

"Stop Oshawott with Sucker Punch and then use Dark Pulse on Tepig" he calmly said knowing his pokemon could hear him and not wanting to reveal his plan. Absol grunted showing she heard him before teleporting and hitting the water type sending it back and getting a shocked look from Sakura before Absol turned to her right and released a Dark Pulse hitting not only Tepig but Snivy too.

"Snivy!" Hinata yelled to his side and he ignored her as he spoke his next commands "Now before it can get up, use Psycho Cut on Oshawott!" Naruto said to his pokemon who nodded and sent a wave of psychic energy out of her horn and towards Oshawott. "What you can't do that, you have to wait for me to attack, it's my turn!" Sakura yelled ignoring the fact that Oshawott had just been knocked out.

Naruto felt his eyebrow twitch in annoyance but decided to ignore her stupidness and finish this fight "Get close and use Dark Pulse" he said with finality as Absol ran to the now standing pokemon and before they could react they were hit by the dark beam of energy, knocking them out and making Naruto the sole winner of the match.

"Listen well and listen good" Naruto said walking up to Absol and getting everybody attention "In the wild, you're test results mean nothing, in this world, right now you mean nothing. You may have pokemon but you don't have the knowledge or the skill to fight. 'You have to wait for me to attack' has to be the dumbest thing I've ever heard a trainer say" he said looking pointedly at Sakura before continuing "Your school clearly hadn't taught you anything and I would recommend you to either learn and adapt or give up now" he said turning around and walking back into the lab missing the proud look Aurea wore.

An hour later and he was now standing in front of the lab with Absol and Katsumi in her true form. The three rookies, Trip and Ash had already left and now it was his turn, Aurea was looking at him with teary eyes and Naruto himself was barely keeping himself together. Finally, he stepped forward and grunted as Aurea gave him the hardest hug she had ever given him.

He was 15 but even he felt protected whilst in her arms. "Thank you for everything Aurea" he silently said as they broke the hug, she wiped her tears and smiled "Make me proud Naruto," she said and he himself couldn't stop a small smile from appearing on his face even if it was covered by his mask. "Remember, I'll always be there," he said grabbing an identical necklace to his that she wore and one that he had created from elemental stones.

"I know," she said before they hugged each other one last time and Naruto took his first steps into the world. He knew there was no turning back now and as such didn't turn around and silently walked forwards with his two pokemon by his side.

Three hours later and Naruto was stopping for lunch. They hadn't stopped since they started and for them to finally stop felt so good for not only him but his two pokemon. The distance they covered was far and Naruto knew that he would soon run into one of the trainers that had left before him and that was proven right as he saw Ash and some purple-haired girl run past him followed by a heard of Pidove.

Sighing Naruto stood up and followed after them knowing it would be best to help them out before they got killed by the birds. "Katsumi use Illusion and Double Team" Naruto said running after them and thinking of a plan. Katsumi nodded and soon enough four other Zoroarks's were running with them before they glowed a white colour and became massive Braviary.

He watched as all five of them flew around the Pidove, getting their attention and scaring them. Leave! she yelled appearing in front of the heard as a shiny Braviary and quicker than he had ever seen they had flown away. "You two okay?" Naruto asked walking up to the two trainers and their pokemon. "Yea-Yeah Naruto" Ash replied taking deep breaths.

Whilst they were recovering, Katsumi had transformed back to normal and landed by his side with her clones disappearing too. "Good job," he said with a nod, knowing that the dark type enjoyed it when he praised her. Something that showed itself when she gained a smirk on her face. "Wanna tell me how this happened?" he asked looking at the now two calm trainers.

Ash chuckled awkwardly and scratched his head before answering "I tried to catch one of them but it ended up making them all mad" he said making Naruto understand. Even if the pokemon wasn't the smartest they still had instincts that allowed them to fight back and know when one of there own was in danger. "Well, we should get going before they come back to see what the 'Braviary' had done to you," Naruto said turning around and moving, as did Ash and the girl.

Ten minutes later and they were far enough to be able to rest. "So introductions?" Naruto said looking at the girl, "Right the names Iris and this is Axew" she said pointing at the dragon pokemon who was trying to play with an uninterested Absol. "Naruto" he simply said getting a nod from her. "Well now that, that is done whats that pokemon?" Ash said pointing at Katsumi who sent him a dangerous smirk. Something he missed completely.

"No data available," his Pokedex said seconds later getting a surprised look from Ash and Iris. "Naruto, do you know what pokemon you're pokemon is?" Ash asked looking at him and Naruto silently nodded. He was willing to amuse the boy but that was it. The Zoroark species were rare, on par with legendary pokemon and hadn't been seen in hundreds of years.

He had been lucky the night he had saved her as after that only he, Aurea and the regional professors were able to see the pokemon made of myths. "Sorry Ash but you won't be able to learn anything more about Katsumi," he said waving his hand bye to Iris before turning and going down the path with both pokemon by his side.

They walked until night fell and while Naruto was setting up camp he had instructed his pokemon to resume their training from earlier that day. No major developments were made though as Katsumi still struggled with keeping the right amount of energy together and Absol wasn't able to fully connect with the fire element.

Maybe tomorrow he could give them some ideas he had.

"Katsumi use Hone Claws and try to move the energy into making a Dark Pulse, in theory, it should add more energy to your attempts and give you a better understanding of how much energy you need to use," he said looking at the dark type who stood in front of him whilst Absol was shooting small embers from her mouth thanks to his earlier help.

Katsumi nodded and moved away from him before she was a safe distance away. Seconds later she started glowing a deep red which stayed with her for some more seconds before Katsumi started making a small ball in front of her mouth, he watched as the red energy surrounding her slowly started to travel into the orb of dark type energy, expanding it and making it seem like it was going to blow up.

Naruto watched as Katsumi started shuffling as the energy got too much for her before she released it as quickly as she could, faster than he could react he watched as the ball of energy flew through the air and hit a tree, going straight through it and destroying a tree behind it.

"Wow," he said in awe as he had never seen such a thing be used before. It seemed as if she had just made a new move by accident. Looking at Katsumi she seemed just as shocked as him and Absol. "That was awesome!" he yelled in excitement as the concept of making a new move had grasped him. Wasn't it Katsumi said with the same excited look.

They had to calm down though as Absol stopped them from completely losing it. She barked something to Katsumi making her sigh but agree before she turned to him and spoke The feline suggest that we calm down and think of a name for it Naruto whilst not wanting to stop knew he had to as multiple thoughts and ideas came to mind.

He had never seen such a move being used which would either mean no one had ever seen it before or other pokemon just couldn't learn it. Luckily both had similar answers, what if people hadn't been able to recreate it because it was a signature move of the Zoroark species and considering no one has seen a Zoroark in so long it would make sense.

This move could be equal to Aura Sphere, the signature move of the Lucario species and even though other pokemon could learn it, it was under extreme circumstances. "What should we name it then?" Naruto said sighing as his mind started to go through many ideas and theories.

How about Night Shot? Katsumi suggested with a shrug. "Nope," Naruto instantly rejected the idea as it didn't feel like it fit the move. "How about Night Daze instead," Naruto said seconds later. "Night for the dark type that it most likely was and daze because it had dazed them."

Katsumi and Absol thought about it before agreeing as it sounded right. Now that they had solved one issue it was time to move onto another "Can you use the move again?" he asked Katsumi who shrugged again and tried it.

Moving to the side they watched as she opened her mouth and faster than before made the orb of energy that oozed of the dark type. Releasing it he watched as it destroyed a boulder that was infront of her. "Do you think learning Dark Pulse would be necessary?" Naruto whispered to Absol who shook her head. Katsumi looked amused upon seeing their awed faces.

I think I should work on Night Daze and forget Dark Pulse Katsumi said and Naruto nodded his head in agreement seeing as it was clearly a superior move.

That day they had stayed in the camp knowing that spending a day training would be extremely beneficial. Katsumi after spending a few more hours on Night Daze had stopped and helped Absol with Flamethrower. Absol's problem was the fact that she couldn't make her fire move like a stream and instead released the energy in separate shots.

Katsumi had fixed that and by the end of the day, Absol was shooting a miniature Flamethrowers out of her mouth.

After that day they had spent the rest of the week walking and training, with Absol finally getting the hang of Flamethrower and Katsumi getting better control of Night Daze. After Absol had finished with Flamethrower he had decided to introduce her to his physical training or how Katsumi like to call it 'Physical torture'.

At first, Absol struggled but as the days went by she started to get used to it, that is until he made it harder than before. By the end of the day, she was usually exhausted and soon after Naruto had made Katsumi join in the training.

Now they were in Accumula Town. They had made it hear an hour ago and had enjoyed the small sites the small town had before heading off to the Pokecenter. Walking up to the front desk and getting the Nurses attention he spoke "Nurse Joy could you heal my pokemon?" he asked pulling out the pokeballs of his two pokemon she nodded and gave them to Chansey before turning back to him.

"Are you by any chance Naruto?" she asked and while confused he nodded. Immediately she smiled and spoke "Great, professor Juniper sent this over a couple of days ago," she said handing him a Pokeball. "Thank you but can I get a room please?" he said putting the Pokeball away and looking back at her. She nodded and gave him a key which he gratefully took and immediately made his way towards his room where a shower awaited him.

20 minutes later and he was sitting on the bed that came along with the room and looking at the Pokeball he had gotten from the nurse. He wondered what pokemon his sister got him, was it something powerful or something special. "Only one way to find out," he said to himself throwing the Pokeball into the air.

He watched as it formed into a pokemon, a Beldum to be more specific and not just any Beldum but a shiny. He couldn't stop his mouth from falling open as his shock got to him. 'How' was the only question in his mind.

The Beldum's single eye looked at him with no emotions and only a slight amount of amusement sparked through it. It watched him get out of his shock before floating around him, examing his form and what seemed like nodding its head in approval before floating back infront of him and staying in place as if waiting for his command.

"R-Return Beldum," he said to the pokemon who followed his command without a second thought and not a second later was Naruto out of his room and running straight for the video phones. Luckily no one was there and quicker than ever he had dialled his sister's number.

"Hey, Naru-"

"What the hell Aurea!" Naruto shouted over her, surprising her and getting peoples attention. Naruto ignored them and spoke in a hushed voice "What made you think that I can raise a Pseudo-Legendary when I haven't even gotten my first gym badge." he said this time sending her a glare.

"Naruto calm down and then we can talk about this" Aurea said with a voice she only used when she was serious. Knowing he would get no answers in the state that he was in he did as his sister told him and calm down. "Good, now talk to me," she said seeing that he had somewhat calmed down.

"What were you thinking giving me a Pseudo-Legendary, I don't have the experience to raise one," he said with annoyance seeping into his voice. Aurea sighed hearing this and spoke "Naruto I've said this before and ill say it again, you're ready. You've been ready for a long time but you just haven't recognised that. I knew if I gave it to you when you were about to leave you would have never accepted it so I thought ahead" she told him showing why she was the professor.

"You may say I'm ready but I don't feel ready Aurea, Pseudo-Legendaries are different to normal pokemon, that rule applies especially to the pokemon that are apart of the mind arts trio, I'm not ready for this," he said. Aurea shook her head before gazing at him with a gentle look knowing that he was showing his true feelings and emotions.

"Naruto, Katsumi to you is your friend a pokemon you had met but there's more to that. You may think you had encountered her by luck but that's not true. Many myths and I mean many saying that Zoroarks are like Pseudo-Legendaries and that meeting one is fated. Do you want to know how I got Beldum?" she asked and without waiting for his response carried on

"He came to me, no other Beldum was interested in you except for him, just like the myths said a Pseudo-Legendary chose you and so did Katsumi. You have been ready since you're first year with Katsumi, Naruto, you just haven't realised it yet" she said ending it with a smile before ending the call, leaving a confused but somewhat lighter feeling Naruto.

Ten minutes later Naruto was standing outside in the training field with the same Pokeball in his hand. Opening it, Beldum came out look at him with a curious look. He had read that like most steel types the Beldum line were emotionless, extremely more thanks to their added psychic type but this one, this one seemed to have emotions as it looked at him.

"Tell me why you chose me," Naruto said looking at the pokemon's single eye which quickly lost its emotion. A small glow came out of it seconds later and quicker than he could react he saw images go through his head.

First, he saw Katsumi. Then Absol and many others he had never seen before, he watched as every badge in the Unova region appeared in his hand, one by one they appeared and changed into another before stopping. Slowly after, he started feeling chilly as two yellow and hollow eyes stared at him, even if they were hollow he felt judged by them before he heard a grunt echo through his mind and the eyes disappeared.

Naruto felt his body fall onto the ground but was quick to catch himself. Opening his eyes he looked up to see Beldums concerned eye. "What was that?" he asked the pokemon who tried its best to explain with emotions. At first, he felt cold before feeling pride. "An ice and fire type?" he asked taking deep breaths.

Beldum seemed frustrated and sent him another emotion, this time he felt extremely hot and understood that was what a fire type would feel like. "Got it a dragon type," he said getting a happy look back from the psychic type.

"So I'm guessing you're here to protect me from some ice and dragon type," he said watching as the Beldum gave him a nod before he felt another emotion go through him, warmth and loyalty radiated from the psychic type and through their small mental link and Naruto was somehow able to understand him perfectly "But you also joined because you want to be a part of my family," he said getting another happy nod from the pokemon.

Remember Naruto meeting a Pseudo-Legendary is fated to happen Aurea's previous words rang through his head and as he looked at the happy looking Beldum he smiled. Maybe he could handle it.

"Katsumi, Absol meet our new team member Beldum," he said revealing the pokemon who popped out from behind him and greeted the two dark types. Naruto was quite surprised to see it acting so friendly with them but that might of been because he knew he had the power to become a Metagross and as such wasn't too worried about them.

Seeing that the introductions were done Naruto spoke "All right you three were going to do some light training today before heading towards Striaton City" he told them getting nods and grunts of understatement before training began.

The next day Naruto went to see the school that Aurea had signed a contract with. He wanted to see why his sister would do such a thing as before she hadn't shown the slightest interest.

Absol was out with him as Beldum and Katsumi were too rare to be out on display and even though Absol was rare, people would ignore her because of how people viewed the Absol species.

"Excuse me, I was wondering if I could get a tour of the school," Naruto said walking up to the front desk and talking to the receptionist. The woman looked him up and down before shrugging and going on her phone, Naruto felt his eyebrow twitch as he saw the clear rudeness and decided to see how she would react when she heard his name.

"Yeah, I don't think you heard me. I'm Naruto Juniper, my sisters the regional professor and on behalf of her I'm asking for a tour" he said this time narrowing his eyes whilst Absol released a warning growl. Faster than he could react she had dropped her phone and used the office phone to call what sounded like the principal.

"Good job girl," Naruto said scratching Absol's head. They waited for a few more minutes before an old man in white robes came to the office. "Ahh I hear that you are Naruto Juniper," he said looking at him with narrowed eyes. Naruto decided to be quiet and nodded.

"You don't look like her" the old man instantly said and once again his eyebrow twitched. "Our father was blond," Naruto said casually lying through his teeth. The old man looked him over again before grunting and nodding. "Well I'm the principal, you can and will call me professor Sarutobi," the old man said.

"Charming" Naruto said under his breath shaking the old man's hand and following him as Absol sent him an amused look.

Naruto wouldn't lie, he wasn't impressed with the school. It had no good classes and the ones he had seen were okay at best. That was with Naruto being generous. The old man was quite annoying as well, always speaking as if he was higher than him in status or that Naruto had missed ut on not learning here.

"You know Sarutobi," Naruto said showing that he didn't care about his status "If I had learnt here I would have never become a junior professor" Naruto casually said watching as the old man tensed and started sweating. It seems like he was finally understanding the difference between him and his students, speaking of.

"You're top three students were Sakura, Sasuke and Hinata, right?" Naruto asked with fake curiosity. What he didn't expect was for the old man to go into a speech about how great the three were.

"Yeah they were disappointing and weak," Naruto said nodding his head as if agreeing with what the old man was saying. "What do you mean?" the man said glancing at him. "Oh, you know. They just don't know how to battle which half of what being a trainer is" he simply said, looking at the man who was looking at him with narrowed eyes.

Amused Naruto glanced down with the old man following his sight only to be met with Absol's own narrowed eyes and a glowing pink horn. Immediately he looked up and away from them before speaking "How about this then, battle the schools best student and then tell me that the other three were disappointing" he said looking at him again.

"What do you think Absol?" Naruto asked his pokemon who nodded her head making the decision for them. "When is this fight going to happen?' Naruto asked again looking at the old man.

20 minutes later and he was standing on a massive field with an opponent who went by the name of Kiba. They were still indoors as the principal wanted everyone in the school to see the battle and as such the whole school was now watching them. The old man himself was refereeing this match and so he was on the side.

"Begin!" he yelled and they both revealed their pokemon.

A Growlithe appeared on Kiba's side whilst Absol jumped infront of him. "Ember!" Kiba yelled starting the match and Naruto didn't have to speak as his pokemon was smart enough to dodge. Absol jumped over the Ember and ran at the fire type who upon his trainer's command started using Flame Charge, "Dark Pulse" he simply said knowing his pokemon could hear him.

Absol release the beam of dark energy instantly and hit the Growlithe who wasn't strong enough to match the power of the move with Flame Charge. The fire type got sent back thanks to the blast that Dark Pulse had made and Absol seeing her chance to attack again did so, three Psycho Cuts travelled through the air and hit the Growlithe who had only just began to stand.

Naruto heard it whine in pain and knowing that it couldn't continue he spoke again "Finish this with Dark Pulse" he said to his pokemon who responded by making the beam of energy and launching it at the downed pokemon, knocking it out cold.

And just like that, it became 4-0 to Naruto vs this school.

Soon after the fight, Naruto had left the school with more questions than before. What had they done to get his sister to sign a contract? They were clearly not teaching these kids anything useful as Kiba couldn't even react fast enough to counter-attack against Absol. Not that it would be easy as Absol both hit hard and hit fast.

Deciding to leave the questions for another day Naruto healed Absol and got back to training as tomorrow they would be leaving for their first gym badge.

The next morning Naruto was walking down route 2 with Beldum by his side as Absol and Katsumi were still tired from yesterdays training. Beldum, on the other hand, couldn't really do much training until he evolved as the moves he already had were perfect thanks to the psychic already being a perfectionist by heart or soul?

Doesn't matter. Today and for the next week, Naruto was planning on using Beldum in every trainer battle he had so that he could get enough experience to evolve into a Metang.

Time went by quickly with Naruto only fighting three trainers before lunch, where he released his other two pokemon for lunch. Quickly eating their food they began training "Katsumi you're going to learn Protect whilst also helping Absol with Night Slash" he said to the two pokemon who moved to the side leaving him with Beldum.

"Beldum I want you to try and break through Katsumi's Protect when she makes a stable one," he said to his pokemon who nodded and they both turned to watch as Absol gathered dark type energy in her horn before swinging it, only for nothing to come out.

Naruto wasn't surprised to see Absol already have the basics down as her control over her the dark type surpassed even Katsumi's who was slowly catching up thanks to the control training he was making her do so she would have an easier time with Night Daze.

Katsumi herself looked completely clueless having no idea how to start with Protect. Naruto chuckled and made his way towards her with Beldum by his side "Katsumi you already have a good understanding of the normal type thanks to Double Team so all you have to do is use that normal type energy and instead of turning it into clones you turn it into a shield" he said explaining what he had learnt about the move.

The dark type nodded before closing her eyes and concentrating, slowly an unstable and see-through shield appeared infront of her and faster than Naruto could react Beldum had used Iron Head and destroyed it, hitting Katsumi in the process.

Naruto burst into laughter as he realised that Beldum had taken what he had told him earlier and did it just now, destroying her Protect. Katsumi growled in annoyance and looked at Beldum asking him what he thought he was doing.

"Don't get mad Katsumi," he said walking infront of the steel type and recovering from his laugh, "I told him to do that but he had thought a stable Protect was what you made" glancing at the confused looking psychic type.

Katsumi huffed in annoyance before speaking, Warn me next time you have one of your brilliant ideas she said and Naruto nodded hearing some laughter behind him. Turning around he was met with Absol's face which was getting ready to burst just like his did and they both couldn't hold it when Beldum smashed into Katsumi a second-time seconds later.

The week went by quickly as they travelled, trained and fought. His two dark types were able to finish learning their new moves quite quickly thanks to their control over the selected elements.

He had stuck to the promise he had made to himself and had fought using Beldum every chance he had, of course, the steel type had also trained with them even if it was limited. Naruto knowing the pokemon was a perfectionist thought of a perfect battle style for him. It would require extreme confidence, calmness and control but with him being a Pseudo-Legendary who was also a psychic he wasn't worried about such things.

Beldum had spent most of his time learning how to preserve energy whenever he moved. Naruto had done this by making the pokemon dodge Katsumi's and Absol's moves, making sure he not only stayed calm but didn't waste energy moving too much. He knew that this training was usually done by powerful Metagrosses but Naruto wanted to get a headstart with his Beldum.

The pokemon was still struggled with making the minimum movement when moving but he had been able to keep his calm whilst doing so, which was progress in Naruto's opinion.

Now they were in Striation City, the home of their first gym badge and there hardest trail yet.

"Begin!" the referee yelled as Naruto released Beldum against a Panpour and Pansear. The two pokemon belonged to the gym leaders and Naruto was able to talk them into fighting him, two on one.

It had been a week since he had gotten Beldum and Naruto had been training the pokemon more than anyone else even using him in every battle he got challenged too and while it made the psychic type exhausted they both knew that it would be worth it in the future.

"Water gun and Flamethrower!" the gym leaders yelled. The two monkeys jumped into the air and released their attacks seconds later, Beldum watched as the attacks got closer and at the last possible second, he moved to the side avoiding the Water Gun and only being grazed by the Flamethrower.

It showed how determined the pokemon had been whilst training as only after a few days he was able to do this. Of course, Naruto knew that it would get harder as he evolved since he got bigger every time it happened but for now, even with the low amount of time they had spent training it was easy thanks to his size.

"Get close and use Iron Head," Naruto said crossing his arms and watching as Beldum shot off, avoiding the Flamethrowers and Water Guns that were sent at him. Beldum smashed his iron body into Panpours body and quickly used Iron Defence when Pansear hit him with a Flamethrower.

Naruto immediately had Beldums Pokeball in hand. While Beldum was smart using a defensive move against something he couldn't dodge, it wasn't smart coating your already vulnerable body with another layer of steel that could make the damage worse. The little psychic type still had a lot to learn and Naruto was sure that the pokemon had just learnt one lesson.

The fire slowly disappeared and a scorched Beldum was seen floating n the middle, Naruto saw him shaking and could only guess it was out of pain. Raising the Pokeball he was about to return him only to stop as the pokemon opened its single eye and looked at him. He saw the determination he had seen so many times since they had met but he also saw something else, he couldn't tell what it was but he could feel it through their psychic bond.

It felt like a fire, it rose and got more out of control, imagines of their multiple battles flashed through his head and he understood. It was a passion for battle and the little psychic type would rather go out battling than being returned. Naruto finally started to understand why the pokemon never backed down from any battle, he was a proud creature that craved for the power that came with evolution.

Putting his Pokeball away he nodded his head and carried on their battle. "Dodge the bite and use Iron head," he said to his pokemon who hummed in excitement and floated backwards, away from the Panpour before glowing and smashing back into the pokemon chest, sending it back.

"Dodge the Fire Punch and use Zen Headbutt!" Naruto yelled to his pokemon when he saw the Pansear running up from the side with a flaming fist. Luckily Beldum still remembered the pain from the earlier fire attack and as such dodged the move as quickly as he could, only being grazed by it before hitting the still in the air monkey with the psychic move.

"Finish Pansear of with a Headbutt!" Naruto yelled knowing it was crucial to get rid of the fire type to get a better chance at winning. Beldum upon hearing his trainers command and sensing his thoughts understood why he was targeting the still down pokemon instead of the water type who was attacking him with another Water Gun.

Dodging the water move he flew through the air and hit the unsuspecting fire type that was only now getting up from the ground. Naruto watched as the pokemon not being able to handle Beldums attack flew through the air again and hit a boulder, knocking it out and making the fight an even one on one.

"Nevermind," Naruto said to himself as Beldum exploded a bright light. Naruto watched as Beldum slowly became a body before gaining two arms and soon enough standing infront of him was a Metang. No amount of words could describe the joy Naruto felt upon seeing his friends evolution but it appears like emotions could as the psychic type turned to him and lifted his arm with an amused expression.

Naruto sighed and chuckled under his breath before speaking "Let's finish this, Metang use Metal Claw" he said knowing the pokemon learned the move upon evolution. Faster than before Metang flew through the air and before Panpour could even think of running the steel type had grabbed it and threw it in the air. Quickly enough gravity kicked in and Panpour was diving back down towards the ground.

Unfortunately for it, Metang had other ideas. Metang's arm glowed with steel type energy and just as Panpour was about to dart by him Metang launched his arm forward and smashed it into the pokemon sending it flying past the gym leaders and into a wall. That had shown everyone the power a Pseudo-Legendary had even in its unevolved stage.

Naruto felt his whole body shake in excitement as he realised how much power his team had just gotten. Metang seemed amused upon seeing his thoughts and before he could react the psychic had used its power and had placed him onto of its body. Naruto chuckled at seeing the steel type show his affection a different way to the others of the team.

"I'm proud of you buddy, you did great," he said to his pokemon patting his head and getting a content hum back. The gym leader Chilli came up to him with a smile and spoke "Congratulations Naruto, we were quite surprised to see you bring out a shiny Pseudo-Legendary and even more amazed at seeing it evolve. As a sign of you're victory we present you with this gym badge" he said handing him the badge.

"Thank you Chilli," Naruto said hopping off of Metangs head and shaking the guy's hand. For their first gym battle, they had done well but he knew that from now on it would only get harder.

Leaving the building with the newly evolved pokemon by his side he could only blink in surprise as he saw the whole city covered in a sort of pink layer of clouds. Metang was immediately infront of him with an arm across his chest and glowing eyes, pushing the clouds away from them and giving them a small path.

"Let's get to the Pokecentre Metang," he said with narrowed eyes as getting such a reaction from a pokemon, no less a Pseudo-Legendary was never good. Metang gave a short hum of agreement before they started moving.

It took them a few more minutes than usual to get to the Pokecenter as they had to stop a few times because Metang was still new to having his psychic abilities being unlocked. Even with that being a factor he did his job and safely got Naruto to the Pokecenter where not only was the Nurse there but so were Ash and Iris.

"Naruto!" Iris said looking at him with evident surprise whilst Ash opened his Pokedex and scanned Metang. "Thanks, Metang," Naruto said to his pokemon who nodded back before they both got distracted by a glow that came from Iris's arms.

Her Axew was laying in her arms with its eyes closed and even though he wanted to get a closer look he couldn't as Metang stopped him. Trusting the pokemon he kept his distance and instead spoke to her "What happened?" he asked crossing his arms again as his mind started to connect a few things.

"It was the mist, it suddenly appeared and before I knew it Axew was sleeping in my arms and not waking up," she said looking down at the pokemon. It was understandable why Metang wanted him to be as far away as he could be from the mist or anything that was caught in it, the mere thought of falling asleep and not waking up scared him quite a bit.

Again Naruto nodded his head in thanks knowing that the pokemon could feel his gratitude. Suddenly the door opened behind them and a woman with a Munna by her side came running in. He noted how Metang didn't really care if they got caught in the mist and instead worried about him, in a strange way it warmed his heart to see his pokemon caring so much for him.

"Munna use Dream Eater," the woman said to her pokemon who nodded and sucked in the visible energy that was surrounding Axew's form. Slowly the tusk pokemon opened his eyes and yawned. If it wasn't a serious moment Naruto would have admitted that it was quite cute. A hum of amusement came from the pokemon by his side as he read his thoughts gaining a glare from Naruto that increased his amusement.

"My name is Fennel and I'm sorry for acting without your permission," she said referring to the fact that she didn't ask Iris if Munna could use a move on Axew. "Ah, no worries you helped Axew so its fine" the girl said waving her arms around. Fennel sighed in relief and Naruto decided this was the perfect time to find out what was going on.

"You know whats going on, don't you?" he simply said looking at her who turned around and jumped in shock upon seeing Metang. Right shiny Pseudo-Legendary he thought to himself. Luckily she got over it quickly and nodded her head "Y-Yes, you see" she said moving so she could be facing them all "The mist is called the Dream Mist and is made by Munna's evolution, Musharna. It is completely psychic and can only affect pokemon" she told them.

Naruto sent a confused look at Metang who stayed by his side.

Pro..tect dut...y

A garbled metallic voice said to him as Metang opened his eyes. Understanding that it was his pokemon who spoke he smiled, that was quicker than he had expected but Metang was a Pseudo-Legendary and as such learnt how to use his powers quicker than most psychics. "Your duty is to protect me?" Naruto asked the pokemon who hummed in confirmation.

This brought Naruto back to their first conversation where Metang had shown him his vision and had told him that he had joined him to protect him. Naruto never knew that he meant against everything but he guessed that was what came with having a Pseudo-Legendaries loyalty. "I understand" he finally said to his pokemon who smiled at him with his eyes before they followed the professor, Ash, Iris and a guy called Clian who were having their own conversation at the same time as he and Metang.

Immediately the mist reached them and Metang was quick to use Confusion to push it back getting everybody's attention. "You'll need help Metang," he said releasing Katsumi and Absol who both immediately growled at seeing and feeling the psychic energy. "A smart idea using what I'm guessing are both dark types," Fennel said nodding to him.

"Thanks" he simply said in return before speaking to his pokemon "Katsumi area-wide Night Daze," he said getting confused looks from everybody whilst Katsumi grinned and moved forward. A few seconds later she was far enough away from the "Now!" he yelled knowing she could hear him thanks to her amazing hearing. If possible her grin got bigger before she began.

Using Hone Claws she glowed red and lifted her head up, slowly a Dark Void appeared infront of her mouth it stayed perfectly still as the Hone Claws energy entered it and made it bigger before Katsumi deemed it good enough and bit into it. Immediately a pulse of dark energy came from her getting rid of the surrounding mist and clearing the area.

Naruto was smart enough to have Absol out as she absorbed the dark energy that got too close to them. Naruto grinned as he saw what Katsumi had been working on in her spare time was finally finished. Nearly finished she said walking back and correcting him.

She also congratulated Metang on his evolution finally getting a good look at him with Absol following her example. Turning to his side he saw the amazed looks of everybody present and felt proud of having such a strong pokemon on his family. "Where to next?" he asked looking at her with a grin that Katsumi wore as well.

"T-The Dreamyard," she said still in shock at seeing such an attack

It took them a few minutes but they had finally reached the Dreamyeard where they could immediately see a machine connected to a Musharna. Acting quickly Naruto spoke "Aerial Ace, Psycho Cut and Iron Head," he said to his pokemon who acted instantly. Katsumi got to it first and hit it in quick succession, quickly breaking it.

Metang reached it next and without stopping smashed his glowing face into the machine, breaking into it and going through it, last was Absol who launched a Psycho Cut that disconnected the tubes that were attached to the pokemon. With the damage being down the machine was quick to break and the culprits for this mess were quick to reveal themselves.

(You know their stupid motto)

"Team Rocket!" Ash yelled behind him whilst Naruto and his pokemon tried to understand what had just happened. "Therapy will defiantly be needed," Naruto said with his pokemon quickly agreeing before they tuned into the ongoing conversation. "Why are you doing this?" Ash asked the trio who laughed before speaking,

"Nothing you little twerps would understand but I will tell you this, the pokemon's energy would defiantly be helping Team Rocket in taking over Unova," they said with massive smiles. "No, it won't, Pikachu use Volt Tackle!" Ash yelled to his electric type who quicker than Naruto had ever seen moved across the whole area and smashed into the trio with the powerful move, sending them blasting away.

"Woah," he said under his breath not expecting the small pokemon to be so quick. Turning back to Fennel he saw her hugging the Musharna and could only smile, happy to see trainer and pokemon being reunited.

"Let's get some rest," he said to his three pokemon who nodded or hummed in agreement before they left the area, missing the curious eyes that watched them from the tress.

Finally done with the chapter. I just wanted to thank you all for the support and I hope you tell me your thoughts on Chapter 1 of the remake.
I'll try to post new chapters every week but it's not guaranteed, anyways, pokemon will be having more than just four moves in this fanfiction as well.
