Courage zoomed in. Long black hair. Dark red eyes. Red tie. Red sheath. Red arm guards
"Man does she like red." Courage said as she put her binoculars back into her bag. Thyme shrugged.
"Everyone has a favorite color." Courage nodded in agreement as she grabbed her pink gun.
"Fair."
Thyme sheathed her blade and cracked her knuckles.
Akame walked back towards the base wondering about what Susanoo made this time. After what they heard about the sudden disappearance of Honest and the subsequent massacre of individuals known to be corrupt or associated with Honest the revolutionary army was at a lost. They were still prepared to attack the capital at a moment notice but waited for any information of a truce or even a surrender. However, the only piece of information that any of army's informants could tell them was a simple message. Those who wait will reap a reward.
With the fearsome General Esdeath still apparently alive as well as General Budo and the rest of the empire's army, there was no reason to not wait. As a result, for the first time in what felt like a millennium, Night Raid was able to rest. Something that Akame was not used to. It felt strange knowing that all of this was happening, but Night Raid could do nothing about it.
But it did have its perks. She sniffed the air and salivated at the smell of meat. Multiple different types it seemed. Invigorated, she raced back.
Soon she saw a table filled to the brim with food ranging from delectable cakes of all shapes and sizes to racks upon racks of meat as well as other delicacies.
"Akame! Come on let's eat!" Leone shouted as she grabbed a cake. Akame smiled and walked over sitting next to Tatsumi and Leone.
Tatsumi smiled at Akame. She gave a small smile back and began to eat.
As the afternoon dragged on the sheer amount of joy never left her. Everyone, for the first time, felt at ease and happy. It appeared the world was at peace, if only for a moment.
When dinner finally winded down everyone decided to go their separate ways. Tatsumi and Mine insisted on helping Susanoo clean to much jeering from both Lubbock, Leone, and Chelsea. Akame chuckled as she grabbed Murasame and headed back inside.
The moment she opened the door she unsheathed her sword. "Who are you?"
A bright orange haired girl stepped out of the shadows. "Wow! You're a lot more perceptive than we thought!" Akame steadied her stance and tightened her grip on the hilt.
"Who. Are. You?"
"Akame of the Demon Sword Murasame. Sister of Kurome. Potential multi-dimensional." She saw a strand of long violet hair out of the corner of her left eye. Akame's eyes hardened. She was outnumbered against two foes who she has no knowledge of. She looked at the girl in front of her. A good five meters between her and the opponent in front. She glanced at the violet haired girl. Two meters. No good. If they were as fast as her then even if she could get away from the viole-
Akame stared into the rainbow-colored eyes of the orange haired girl as she grabbed Murasame and cut herself on it. To her shock, and horror, nothing happened as the girl simply stared at her self-inflicted wound.
"Hey, Thyme, isn't this sword supposed like… You know? Kill someone?" The violet haired girl sighed as she walked over to the orange haired girl.
"Courage… You shouldn't do that… What if you really get hurt one day?" The girl named Thyme placed a hand on her orange haired friend's shoulder as the self-inflicted wound healed instantly.
Akame stared at them in shock. The speed of the girl named Courage was something she had seen before, but to not hear anything felt almost as though she teleported. The wound disappearing was much too quick to simply be called healing. Akame took a step back hoping they wouldn't notice.
As she turned around red eyes met pitch black ones. She steadied herself ready for a fight. However, the violet haired girl who was apparently called Thyme gave Akame a soft smile. "We're not here for a fight if that's what you're wondering."
Murasame was still pointed at the girl. Akame couldn't let her guard down even if she wanted to. They speed at the very least comparable to hers.
Thyme's smile fell at the sight of the steadied blade. She let out a sigh and rubbed the back of her neck. "See Courage… this is why we take things slowly. This isn't a smash and grab as it was with the prime minister."
Akame's grip on her hilt tightened. "What happened to him?"
"We." Thyme coughed into a fist. "Took him?"
"And I tortured him to state of near death for nearly an eon's worth of time just like the dark eldars taught me!" Courage said as she pumped a fist in the air with a massive grin. Akame's mouth was agape.
"He's dead basically," Thyme clarified.
The grip on her hilt loosened as she slowly lowered her sword. "So, you aren't allies of the Empire?"
"Why does everyone around here think that? Do you how many guards we-" The glare Thyme gave Courage made things clear.
Before she could raise her sword again, Thyme said, "Yes! We aren't allies of the Empire! We come in peace! Now please for the love of gods can you just sheath your sword before anything else happens!"
At that moment Leone threw the doors open as the rest of Night Raid walked through.
