This idea came to me the other day and I just had to do it. :)

Darkwing Duck was one of the shows I loved as a kid and still love to this day. They've only released part of the show on DVD sadly, but hopefully they'll release more of the show on DVD later on, because it is one of the best shows ever! In fact, I sometimes say Darkwing's famous catchphrase when I'm at work and I have to tackle a few projects. XD

Darkwing Duck belongs to Disney. Ben 10 belongs to Cartoon Network and Man of Action. I only own Holly, Rachel, Megan, and Sasha.

Return Of Their Mother's Friend

Megan was playing with her soccer ball in a soccer field as the coach watched with a smile. "You're getting better, Megan," he told the seven-year-old.

"Thank you, sir," she said with a smile.

"It was so generous of the Jocklin brothers to donate the equipment and money so that the town could have a youth soccer team for the children that were either rejected by the school teams or for the homeschooled children," a lady coach said with a smile. "I firmly believe that a child should be allowed to play a sport, even if they aren't the best at it. If it's what they love to do, they should do it."

"I agree," said the male coach, still smiling.

The little girl felt pride fill her that her great-uncles had contributed to the youth soccer team as she wanted to play soccer, but because she was homeschooled, she wasn't allowed to play on the school teams. And she wasn't the only one. When the Jocklin brothers saw how many children couldn't join the soccer teams, they had donated the time, equipment, and money to allow those children to have a chance to play the sport they loved. It had even extended to other sports, which made many children happy and made quite a few parents happy and grateful too.

After practice, Megan grabbed her soccer ball and headed for her great-uncle's shop to wait for her mother and father, who promised they'd pick her up there. Just as she crossed the street after looking both ways to make sure it was clear, she saw some boys coming her way and she went to move, but they surrounded her. "Hey, look. It's the baby of that freak vampire wanna-be," said one of them.

Megan felt anger fill her. "Don't you talk about my daddy that way!" She said to him.

They glowered at her. "Where's your daddy now, freak?" Another one asked.

"Did he abandon you?" A third one asked.

"No!" Megan said. "Go away!"

She went to leave, but sensed one of them was about to grab her, to which she ducked and did a front roll as her father had shown her, rolling out of danger and jumping to her feet before she began running.

"Get her!" The first bully called out.

Megan ran fast, hoping to get to her great-uncle's store, which she could see in the distance. She pushed herself to run faster, turning a corner too fast and almost falling down, but just as she began falling, a hand grabbed her arm and quickly yanked her back upright and to her left. A hand clapped over her mouth. "Shh," a voice said before she felt herself being carried to a motorcycle that looked really cool. Her captor placed her in the side car and she looked up before gasping in fear and awe.

He looked tall and wore a blue turtleneck shirt under a purple jacket with gold buttons. A cape that was purple on the outside and pink on the inside hung from his shoulders and a gray fendora with a black band was on his head. A purple eye mask concealed his upper face, but what surprised the girl was that he had a bill like a duck and she also noticed he had webbed feet. His face took on a look of concern as he gently patted her head.

"Shh," he soothed, holding a finger to his bill. "Stay put. You'll be safe here while I handle those boys."

She nodded, ducking down as she heard the boys get closer. Seeing she was going to stay put, the masked being turned to face the boys, smirking as he pulled out a new invention his friend had been working on. Bubblegum marbles. He just hoped they'd work the way his friend had promised.

Just as the boys rounded the corner, the masked being tossed out the marbles, but to his surprise, they didn't explode into gobs of bubblegum as his friend had said they would. The boys looked at the strange marbles in surprise before laughing and stepping towards the person they saw hiding in the shadows.

But just as they stepped over the last of the marbles, the invention did exactly what it was supposed to do and the masked being had to duck as the bubblegum exploded everywhere, capturing the bullies and making them cry out in surprise. Chuckling to himself, the masked being stepped out into the light, glaring at the boys, who looked startled to see him.

"Bullying is something I don't care for," he said.

"Who are you?!" One of the bullies screamed.

"Does the name 'Darkwing Duck' ring a bell?"

At the sarcastic question, the bullies began trying to get free of the bubblegum, their frantic scrambling only making them get even more tangled up. Darkwing Duck chuckled to himself again, amused. "Now stay put until the police arrive," he said. "They want to have a word with you."

With that, he turned away, chuckling at his own joke before going over to his motorcycle and seeing the little girl looking at him with wide eyes. He smiled. "Why don't we get you home?" He said. "I'm sure your folks must be worried about you."

She looked up at him. "Who are you?" She asked.

"I'm what many criminals fear," he said. "Darkwing Duck."

She giggled as he gave a dramatic pose. "I'm Megan," she said before looking at him curiously. "Are you a superhero?"

"Why, yes I am," he said, looking quite proud.

"How come your costume doesn't have pants?"

Darkwing looked surprised at that before clearing his throat. "I can't find any that fit," he said finally. Granted, he was a duck and had feathers, but that was the first time someone had asked that and he felt a little embarrassed by that.

Megan giggled. "You're funny," she said.

He had to chuckle as she reminded him of his daughter. "Alright, kiddo," he said. "Where do you live?"

"The Grant Mansion, up on the hill outside of town," she replied.

He carefully strapped a helmet onto her head and put his own on. "Buckle up," he said with a smile, revving the engine and zooming forward once the child was safely buckled in. In no time at all, they were at the mansion and Darkwing gulped at seeing how ominous it looked. "Um, are you sure you live here?" He asked.

Megan nodded. "Yeah," she said, opening the gate before turning to look at him. "Come on."

Deciding that he couldn't let the child go into the house on her own, he followed her, a bit unnerved by the sight of the house. "Be careful," he said. "I don't know how old this house is."

"Pretty old, but Aunty Rachel makes sure the outside is strong, despite the way it looks," the little girl said before lowering her voice in a whisper, making him lean closer to hear her. "It helps keep the bad guys away and if it doesn't, then my daddy and uncles scare them away."

She pushed the door open and went inside. Darkwing followed, looking around in surprise as he saw the inside of the house was a stark contrast to the outside. He suddenly sensed someone behind him and grabbed for his gas gun, but the moment he did, something wrapped around him and squeezed a bit, making him drop his gas gun as he was lifted into the air. He looked and his eyes widened to see a green-eyed mummy was glaring at him and the tendrils that were wrapped around the hero had some from the mummy. "No matter what disguise you intruders wear, we deal with you the same way," the mummy growled.

"No, wait! I'm not an intruder!" Darkwing protested, struggling to get free.

"You certainly look like one," said the mummy before looking at him. "Alright, let's take off your mask."

"No! Don't do that!" The hero protested.

Snare-Oh cocked an eyebrow before taking a firm hold of the intruder's bill and beginning to pull, but was met with resistance. That surprised him, but he switched tactics and his fingers brushed over the intruder's neck, making him squeak in surprise.

"C-Careful!" He said, trying to move his neck away from the gauze fingers.

Seeing this, the Thep Khufan cocked an eyebrow before a smile crossed his face. "Well, well," he said. "Perhaps that is a better tactic to get you to talk."

"What?" Darkwing asked, his eyes widening as the mummy wiggled his fingers, his eyes having a playful gleam to them.

"If you were wearing a mask, you wouldn't have felt my fingers tickling you," the alien said. "So, it's time for a little fun."

As he said that, his fingers moved to the duck's feet and scribbled over them fast and furiously, making the hero shriek and laugh.

"OHOHOHOHOHOHOHOHOHOHOHOHO, NOHOHOHOHOHOHOHO!" He cried out.

"Oh, yes," Snare-Oh chuckled out, moving to the hero's sides and ribs, making him really start laughing. "Hmm. You're quite ticklish."

"PLEEHEEHEEHEEHEEHEEHEEHEEASE! AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!"

Whampire flew into the room, cocking his head curiously. "Who's this?" He asked Snare-Oh.

"Don't know, but he's very ticklish," said the mummy with a grin. "Care to join me?"

The Vladat smirked and Darkwing Duck howled with laughter as his stomach, sides, ribs, and underarms were tickled like crazy.

Megan came in then with her mother and aunt behind her. She stopped at the scene before her before giggling and going up to the two aliens, who stopped when they saw her. The little girl held her arms up to her father, who picked her up and she reached out for the ensnared hero, who was trying to catch his breath.

Surprised, Whampire moved closer, holding onto his daughter as she hugged the masked stranger around the neck. "It's okay. My daddy and uncle won't hurt you," she said to him.

Darkwing looked at her in shock. "Your father and uncle?" He repeated.

"Yes," the vampire said. "Who are you?"

"Darkwing Duck," the hero said.

Megan turned to her father. "He saved me from bullies, Daddy," she said. "He has to be a good guy if he saved me."

"I'm with Megan on this one," Rachel said with a nod.

Hearing her voice, Darkwing looked at her and blinked, his face taking on a look of surprise. "Holly?" He asked.

Rachel froze on the spot when he asked that. She blinked. "No, I'm Rachel," she said before a puzzled look came to her face. "How do you know my mom's name?"

"Because she was one of my best human friends I had," he said before smiling. "You look so much like her."

"Thank you," she said.

He then looked puzzled. "But...I thought you had a sister?" He asked.

"I do," Rachel said, gesturing to the girl that was beside Whampire.

Darkwing looked and he blinked. "Sasha," he said, making her look at him. "Last time I saw you, you had just been born."

She blinked before her eyes widened. "I recalled seeing something purple, but I didn't know what it was," she admitted.

He chuckled before looking at Megan. "This little one is your daughter?" He asked.

Sasha nodded with a smile. "And she just told my fiancée and I that you saved her," she said before hugging him. "Thank you."

He smiled, hugging her back. "Your mother would be proud of both you and your sister today," he said kindly. "That reminds me."

He reached into his pocket and pulled out a small box. "Your mother gave this to me a couple weeks before she passed," he continued. "She asked me to hold onto it for you two until we met again."

Rachel accepted the box, opening it and gasping when she saw what was inside. Sasha gasped too.

Inside were two necklaces that had a single pendant in the shape of a heart, a heart that was split in half. "Mom's necklace," Rachel said in surprise. "I thought...I thought Stephen had stolen it."

"He had," Darkwing said. "I recovered it for your mother and she asked me to hold onto it for you two."

The owner of the Grant Mansion hugged him. "Thank you, Darkwing," she said softly.

He smiled before feeling Megan hug him. "Thank you, Uncle Darkwing," she said happily.

He looked a little bashful at that. "You're welcome, kiddo," he said, smiling at her before tipping his fendora. "I best get back to St. Canard. My daughter will be wondering where I am."

"Come back for a visit sometime," Rachel said.

"Any friend of our mother's is a friend of ours," Sasha said.

Darkwing nodded. "Thank you, girls," he said. "Take care."

With that, he rode away and Rachel smiled, taking out the necklaces and gently split the pendant, handing one half to Sasha, who took it and they put both necklaces on at the same time.

They would never forget their mother's friend, who was now their friend too.

I just had to. :)
