The next morning Hermione was awoken by her now four year old daughter. When she opened her eyes Lidia squealed and jumped on to the bed, bouncing up and down going on and on about how they were going to have so much fun what they were going to do, Hermione laid there and listened with a smile on her face. She was surprised when Loki walked in to the bedroom covered in baking powder and looking very pleased with himself. He walked in and pulled Lidia from the bed sitting down in her spot and gently placing her on the floor, both parents were surprised when she climbed in to his lap.

"Mama" She said "L...daddy and I are making pancakes"

"Do either of you know how to make pancakes?" Hermione asked skeptically. Lidia had a huge smile on her face and was nodding her head enthusiastically which usually meant that she didn't know what she was doing and Loki was wide-eyed and shaking his head no "How bad is the damage?"

"L...daddy got flour in his nose" Lidia said with a grin "And he sneezed..." She giggled "There's flour everywhere!"

"It's not that bad" Loki quickly said "And I found a book that gave directions on how to make them...they are not that bad, promise"

"Well" Hermione said "Let's see what my wonderful family has made me for breakfast"

Hermione was surprised that even though the kitchen was a complete mess the pancakes tasted amazing. She of course told him that they were passable and that she would consider keeping him as the family pet. It was about an hour later while Loki was playing with some dolls with Lidia and Hermione was cleaning the rest of the house that there was a knock on the door. She heard Loki asking Lidia why she would want to be a princess and not a goddess and then heard the little girl ask what the difference was. She worried what he may tell her, he was putting in an amazing effort in to spending time with her and she was making the most improvement but Hermione still worried about his ability to be a nice, normal father.

"Hey" She opened the door smiling. Odin sneered back before backhanding her and sending her flying through the living room. He advanced quickly and Hermione screamed to Loki before the man kicked her in the side sending a sharp, hot pain shooting through her side. Her eyes watered and she fought to pull in even panting breaths, her hands curled in to fists and finally the sounds entered her mind. She could hear the two men hitting each other and she could see lights bursting in her living room.

She looked around and found that Lidia was standing at the corner of the room watching the fighting with a mixture of fear and anger overtaking her face. Hermione turned with much difficulty and saw that Odin had Loki lifted from the ground by his throat. She crawled over to him standing up behind Odin she held her hands up in front of her and whispered: Crucio. She watched him drop Loki and start screaming as he dropped, his screams were echoed by her daughters and that broke her concentration.

"ODIN!" Four different Loki's stood around him "Let Hermione and Lidia leave and face me alone"

"No" Odin snapped "They will die and you will watch"

Everything was happening too quickly and yet too slow at the same time. Hermione watched as they fought and used magic against one another and she was aware that she too was throwing spells. Her mind was in chaos and she watched as Lidia slowly walked closer to the fight scene, she called to her and told her to leave but the little girl wasn't listening to her. There was a particularly loud hit and to her horror Loki dropped to the floor with a large amount of blood was gushing from his head. She knew that Loki too had noted that Lidia was coming closer to the fighting and had been distracted at seeing her too close. It was just a moment but a moment too long and Odin had jumped when he saw the advantage point.

"And now" Said the old man "I will make good on that promise I made all those months ago"

"You know what I've been doing, Miss Granger?" Odin asked "While I haven't been watching you and your stupid and weak attempts to protect yourself and that bastard mistake of a child, I've been learning all about your magic and your world"

"That doesn't matter" Hermione hissed, trying to stall so Loki could wake up. She was tired and the hit on the head she had taken when she was thrown in to the wall was making her dizzy and uncoordinated but she refused to pass out and leave him alone with her daughter "You'll never win"

"You'll be dead soon" He said "That is a win in itself"

"But Loki isn't dead" She pointed out "And everyone knows what a lunatic you truly are so they won't believe any bullshit you try to sell them"

"Silence" He hissed.

He stepped closer to her and reached out quickly grabbing her wrist and pulling her the rest of the way towards him. She gasped in surprise and tried to wrench her arm away from him, he raised him hand to hit her again but was hit in the back of the head with a book. Lidia stood there with a defiant look on her face, she had another book at the ready and glared angrily. He laughed and stomped over to her, Hermione swayed as she watched him close in on the little girl and tried to shoot a spell but was too weak. That was what he had hinted at, he knew that her spells were only as strong as she was at the moment and at that moment she was too weak to even stand on her own. He grabbed Lidia and threw her over to Hermione with the laughter of a man insane.

"I will kill her first" He said "You can watch and then I'll kill you, I daresay he'll be more upset if he sees you die"

"You touch her and I'll kill you" Hermione gasped.

"I highly doubt it" He laughed "You can barely stand, how are you going to kill me?"

"I'll kill you" Lidia said in a terrified little voice.

"I'm not afraid of a little girl" He snapped at her and raised his hand this time to strike the child.

"You should be" Loki said from behind him and before he was able to do or say anything more Odin's body was engulfed in flames.

The old man screamed a looked at the black haired man but Loki was only standing there. His hands were not raised and he was looking at someone else in the room, in his pain he turned and saw the little girl stood there with her hands raised in front of her, her eyes blazing with anger and hatred. He would die at the hand of a four year old child. As soon as the thought went through his mind the pain stopped and there were no more flames around him though his clothes were badly burned as was his skin.

"Lidia" Loki said moving closer "Take your mother to her bedroom and don't leave it, no matter you hear"

"But..." She started

"NOW!" He yelled making her jump and take Hermione's hand leading her away. Once in the bedroom Hermione passed out but not before she heard Odin's screams begin again.

~~(( ))~~

It was almost three days later that Hermione finally woke up. She was alone in her room except for Thor that sat on a chair in the corner of the room reading a book and occasionally raising his eyes from the book in his lap. Hermione sat up and squinted to see what he was reading quickly averting her eyes when she realized it was the book about becoming an immortal. He looked at her with a raised eyebrow and put the book down, she was weary of this quiet Thor, as he usually was loud and funny. Now he was quiet and serious and it made her heart beat erratically in her chest. She had passed out before she knew the outcome of the fight, what if Odin had gotten the upper hand back and killed Loki, what happened to Lidia...where was her baby? She looked at Thor who still stood there calmly and he was seemingly trying to pick the right words to use in front of her. Something bad had happened, she could tell and he was nervous about what to say, her hands shook and she was sweating but continued to look at him and wait while he finally picked the right words.

"Odin is...dead" He said slowly.

"And Loki?" She whispered "Where is he?"

"He's okay" Thor answered "His injuries are healing fine"

"And Lidia's okay?" She said.

"She's fine" He answered "It's with her help that Loki is still alive"

"What happened?" She asked with a sigh, she could hear anything now that she knew that the two most important people to her were okay.

"After you left" He said "He torched Odin for a few minutes but for once his feelings got in the way and he stopped. That was all fath...Odin needed he attacked Loki, catching him by surprise he was beating him, using he weight against him" He watched Hermione's face for a second before continuing "Lidia came out to see what was happening and she threw her image, she got Odin to try to attack her but he couldn't figure out which one was the true child. When he got too close she set him on fire and that was about the time that Sirius, Lupin and I got back. We took care of it from there"

"Is he truly okay?" Hermione asked "I thought that..."

"That he would be the one sitting here and not me?" He finished for her and she looked apologetically at him "He was with you all night but I insisted he and Lidia go to the park for a little while. I know that Lidia needs to understand that what she did was not bad and for some reason I think that Loki will be able to help her understand that"

"Thank you" She whispered "I've been hoping that they would get closer"

"I see you've been reading up on becoming an immortal" He held the book up.

"Loki brought it" She said "I...I've just been reading it"

"Do you want to be an immortal?" He asked sternly.

"I don't know" She answered "I love Loki" She shook her head in wonder "I love him so much and I want to be with him...forever but I don't want to make anyone angry"

"You can have my blood" He said without hesitation.

"I don't think you understand" Hermione started.

"I do" He said "You've been out for three days, I have read this book a few times. I understand about the dreams and feelings but I am still offering you my blood to drink to become an immortal"

"Does Loki know about what can happen?" She asked as he sat down next to her on the bed.

"Yes" He answered "He said that he's pretty sure he can live with it as long as you remain his for all eternity"

"I don't have a problem with that" She smiled and blushed after.

"Here" Thor drew a knife and she watched fascinated as he drew it across his palm offering it out to her.

Hermione bit her lip and looked at the outstretched hand and then in to his face. He was nervous that was for sure but she could see that he had really thought this through, he was forever trying to make up for the lack of their fathers love that Loki had always felt. She smiled a little, he really was a good man she had always assumed that he was a muscle-head without any thoughts of his own but she now saw that she was wrong. She put her small hand around his wrist and looked in to his eyes as she leaned closer and after a moment of disgust about what she was about to do, her tongue made a swipe across the fresh cut in the skin. She knew from reading the book that she would need to have three good licks of the blood or an actual gulp in order to have it work, the more the better. The one swipe however had lit a fire deep within the gods eyes, she felt him shudder and felt him push his hand further against her mouth. To her surprise the blood tasted amazing and Hermione couldn't help but pull his hand closer, licking and sucking on his marred skin. She heard a moan and was only a little shocked to know that it came from her however it was mingled with his. Suddenly, he pushed his hand forward dragging his bloodied hand across her cheek and then cupped the back of her neck. He was breathing heavily but so wasn't she, her mind was reminding her that she was in love with Loki but as a new light feeling overtook her being she couldn't control her actions any longer. They moved at the same time, mouths connecting with enough pressure to break a tooth but neither cared. She pulled at his shirt, dragging her nails over his shoulders, biceps and forearms, gasping when he pushed her back against the mattress.

"Hermione?" The voice was soft but angry and filled with shock "What...are you doing?"

"Loki!" Both said it at the same time once the voice penetrated the lust-filled fog. He stood there and slowly the look of shock was replaced by a look of pure hatred and betrayal.
