A small, visibly underweight ten year old boy with messy black hair and green emerald eyes was laying on the floor next to the sofa, which was next to a fireplace that had been worn over the years. He looked at his cousin's watch to see what time it was and how long it would be until he turned eleven, drawing himself a birthday cake on the unclean kitchen floor while his cousin slept nearby.

"Just a few more minutes, then I'll eleven." The small boy said to himself.

However, at that moment he had a strange feeling, like something inside him changed and it made the world around him seem a little different, but he didn't know what.

Boom!

The small boy and his cousin were awake immediately, scared by the loud noise that was coming from outside their door, as if someone was knocking very loud in an ever worsening storm.

Boom!

"Where's the cannon?" His cousin quipped stupidly.

But, to their surprise, Uncle Vernon came running down the stairs with a rifle in his hand.

"Who's there?" He shouted through the door. "I'll warn you now - I am armed!"

There was a pause and then SMASH! The door was hit with such force that it was launched clean off its hinges and, with a loud deafening crash, landed flat on the floor. Outside the door was a giant of a man, his face was almost completely hidden by a long, shaggy mane of hair and wild, tangled beard, his eyes could just be made out, glinting like a black beetles under all the hair.

The giant man squeezed his way into the hut that the family were temporarily living in, stooping so that his head just brushed the ceiling. He bent down, picking up the door and fitting it easily back into it's frame, before looking at them all.

"Couldn't make us a cup o' tea, could yeh? It's not been an easy journey." The giant man said to them, in a Scottish accent.

He then strode towards the sofa, were the small boy's cousin sat frozen with fear.

"Budge up, yeh great lump." The giant man said to him.

The small boy's cousin squeaked and ran to hide behind his mother, who also was crouching, terrified, behind Vernon.

"An' here's Harry!" The giant man said to him.

The Small boy, Harry, looked up into the fierce, wild, shadowy face and saw that the beetle eyes were crinkled in a smile.

"Las' time I saw you, you was only a baby. Yeh look like your dad, but yeh'ev got yer mum's eyes, but now they are a little different." The giant man said to him, a little shocked.

Vernon made a funny rasping noise after he heard what the giant man said.

"I demand that you leave at once, Sir! You are breaking and entering!" Vernon told him, his face turning red.

"Ah, shut up, Dursley, yeh great prune." The giant man said.

He then reached behind the back of the sofa and quickly took the gun right out of Vernon hands, bending it into a knot easily, as if it been made out of rubber, and threw it into a corner of the room.

Vernon made another funny noise, almost sounding like a mouse getting trodden on.

"Anyway Harry a very Harry birthday to yeh, Got summat fer yeh here, I mighta sat on it at some point, but it'll taste all right" The giant man said to him as he reached into his pocket on the inside of his coat.

And, to Harry surprise, he pulled out a slightly squashed box, which Harry happily opened to find a large, sticky chocolate cake which on top said "Happy Birthday Harry" in green icing.

He was lost for word. His Aunt and Uncle had never gotten anything for his birthday. No cakes or birthday presents over the years he'd lived with them, they only got things for Dudley.

"Who are you?" Harry asked him, still shocked.

The giant chuckled.

"True, I haven't introduced meself. Rubeus Hagrid, Keeper of Keys and Grounds at Hogwarts." The giant man now said to the group.

"I'm sorry, but I still don't really know who you are." Harry said honestly.

"Call me Hagrid, everyone does, an' like I told yeh I'm Keeper of keys at Hogwarts. Yeh'll know all about Hogwarts o' course." Hagrid told him.

"Er... no..." Harry replied.

Hagrid looked at Harry in a little surprise, before he turned his head to give the Dursleys a cold look.

"Sorry!" Harry apologised quickly.

"Sorry? It's them who should be sorry! I knew yeh weren't gettin' yeh letters but I never thought yeh wouldn't even know abou' Hogwarts, fer cryin' out loud! Did yeh never wonder where yer parents learnt it all? " Hagrid said to him and the Dursleys.

"All What?" Harry asked.

"ALL WHAT?" Hagrid exclaimed, his voice thundering in anger. "Now wait jus' one second!"

As Hagrid leapt to his feet in his rage, he seemed to fill the whole hut, while the Dursleys cowered against the wall.

"Do you mean ter tell me, that this boy knows nothin', abou' anything?" Hagrid asked the Dursleys, furious.

"I know something! I can, you know, do maths and stuff." Harry cut in.

"What about our world? I mean, your world, my world, yer parents world!" Hagrid asked him.

"What world?" Harry asked back.

"DURSLEY!" Hagrid boomed at the cowering family.

Harry could see his Uncle was very pale, almost like he had seen a ghost, and he heard him whisper something that he couldn't understand.

"But yeh must know about yer mum and dad? I mean, they're famous, You're famous." Hagrid said.

"What? My-my mum and dad weren't famous, were they?" Harry questioned.

"Yeh don' know... yeh don' know..." Hagrid keep saying to himself as he ran his fingers thought his hair and fixing Harry with a bewildered stare. "Yeh don' know what yeh are?"

"Stop! Stop right there, sir! I forbid you from telling the boy anything!" Vernon demanded in a small surge of bravery.

"You never told him? Never told him what was in the letter Dumbledore left fer him? I was there! I saw Dumbledore leave it, Dursley! An' you've kept it from him all these years?" Hagrid growled.

"Kept what from me?" Harry asked eagerly.

"STOP! I FORBID YOU." Vernon yelled at Hagrid.

Harry could see that his Aunt Petunia giving a gasp of horror.

"Ah, go boil yer heads, both of yeh. Harry - yer a wizard" Hagrid explained.

"I am a what?" Harry asked in shock.

"Harry, you're a Wizard and a thumping good one, once you train up a little." Hagrid repeated.

"No you made a mistake, I can't be... a-a wizard. I mean, I'm just... Just Harry." Harry replied.

"Well, Just Harry, did you ever make anything happen? Anything you couldn't explain, when you were angry or scared?" Hagrid questioned.

As he questioned, Hagrid pulled out a letter that looked like the others been sent to Harry but Harry had never got his hands on, so Harry was more than happy to take it from him.

Mr H Potter

The Floor.

Hut-on-the-Rock.

The Sea.

Harry opened the letter and started to read it out.

Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry

Headmaster: Albus Dumbledore (Order of Merlin, First Class, Grand Sorc, chief. Warlock, Supreme Mugwump, International Confed, of Wizards.)

Dear Mr Potter.

We are pleased to inform you that you have a place at Hogwarts school of witchcraft and Wizardry. Please find enclosed a list all necessary books and equipment. Term begins on 1st September we await your owl by no later then 31st July.

Your Sincerely

Minerva Mcgonagall

Deputy Headmistress.

"What does it mean by owl?" Harry asked.

"It like your Post but we use owls to deliver our mail." Hagrid told him.

So, Hagrid wrote something on a piece of of paper and gave it to an owl he was now holding, having appeared sometime while Harry was reading the letter.

"He's not going!" Vernon protested angrily.

"I'd like ter see a great muggle like you stop him." Hagrid retorted.

"A What?" Harry asked Hagrid, unfamiliar with the term.

"A Muggle. It's what we call non-magic folk like them, an it's your bad luck you grew up in a family of the biggest muggles I ever laid eyes on." Hagrid explained.

"We swore when we took him in we'd put a stop to that rubbish, swore we'd stamp it out of him! Wizard indeed." Vernon huffed.

"You knew? You knew I'm a... a Wizard?" Harry questioned.

"Knew? Of course we knew. How could you not be, my dratted sister being what she was? Oh, she got a letter just like that and disappeared off to that... that school, and came home every holiday with her pockets full of frog-spawn, turning teacups into rats. I was the only one who saw her for what she was... a freak!. But my mother and father, oh no, it was Lily this and Lily that, they were proud of having a witch in the family!" Petunia rambled, only pausing to take a breath. "Then she met that Potter at school and they left and got married and had you, and of course I knew you'd be just the same, just as strange, just as... as... abnormal... and then she went and got herself blown up and we got landed with you!"

Elsewhere in Equestria, looking at a mirror that allowed them to watch everything through Harry's eyes and hear everything that was being said, was two Alicorns, a pink one who looked furious at what she was seeing and a white one who was doing her best to keep the first calm.

"What right does she have to tell my son that?!" The pink Alicorn exclaimed, her voice raised.

"Calm down, Cadance. I understand that you are angry over how they are treating him, but they will soon see the error of their ways." The white Alicorn replied in a soothing tone.

"I know, Aunt Celestria, but I haven't held him in so long and I just want to hold him tight and tell him how much she is lying." Candace replied, a little more calm.

"He will find out the truth soon, dear. I will tell him everything, where he is and where he truly came from, and then he will be able to choose where to live." Celestria continued.

"Thank you, Aunty. I can't wait to see my baby boy again." Cadance responded, looking back into the mirror.

"Everything will work out." Celestria voiced.

"What about Princess Luna?" Cadance asked her.

"She will help too, do not worry. She will be with me when we enter his dreams, once he is settles into the castle you told me about." Celestria explained.

"I will go and tell Shining Armor what has happened." Cadance told her.

"I will keep watch over him." Celestria nodded.

"I will be back with him soon." Cadance said, turning away and leaving the room.

"We should tell him soon, Sister, or he will react very badly indeed to the changes that are already happening." Princess Luna told her sister, appearing in the room and standing alongside Celestria once Cadance had gone.

"We will see about that, Sister, but for now let us see what happens with our great-nephew." Celestria told her.

"But we should help to bring his godfather here too. He is an innocent." Luna voiced.

"I will bring Harry when he decides that he wants to come with us, but we can also see about bringing their other friend." Celestria answered.

"We will enjoy that, Sister." Princess Luna smiled.
