Cammie

I pedal my bike down to the baseball diamond with my bat and ball. The hot blazing sun scorched my neck, creating sweat to roll down my back. My bat was making a soft clinking noise as it pushed against my bike. As I got closer to the diamond, I heard a clink then cheering. As I stepped off my bike I went closer to investigate the noise. I noticed in the diamond there was a group of boys. About ten players. I took a deep breath. Okay. Come on Cammie. You got this. Just go up to them and ask them if you can play. Go away anxiety! I thought. I looked up one last time and took my ball and bat with me. I started walking down the field. This was it. I kept on walking, and walking, and walking. Soon I was close enough to them that I stopped. I leaned on my bat and threw my ball up in the air catching it as it fell. Then again. Up, down, catch. Up, down, catch. The boys looked at me and I forgot how to breathe. It's okay Cammie. You got this. I smiled. "Hey, you got room for one more?"

Hi guys! I know I said I wouldn't be able to update a few stories in a while. But, I decided to publish this one anyways. However, I decided to update at least once or twice a month. Sorry this chapter is so short. I have a lot going on right now. You might think that this is going too fast, but I try. Hope you all are doing well.
