This is my first Rapunzel FanFiction, so I hope you guys like it. If not then I understand, not everything is for everyone. Well if you have any idea's send them in the comments and I will see if I can put them in the story. Well, onto the story.
Rapunzel had just walked up to the Moonstone, she was slowly reaching for the Moonstone. When suddenly, the Moonstone was snatched away by a gloved hand.
"Cass?" Rapunzel asked uncertain about why Cassandra took the Moonstone.
"Raps, I'm sorry" Cassandra said taking a step forward trying to reassure Rapunzel.
"Why, why would you do this?" Rapunzel said taking a step back from Cassandra, shocked from what Cassandra did.
"Do you not remember what Adira warned us about? She warned us about the powers of the Sundrop and Moonstone would destroy whoever wields both of them. No matter how much I dislike her, I still care about you Raps and I will do anything to protect you." Cassandra said trying to explain herself.
"Just give her the Moonstone Cassandra." Eugene said standing beside Rapunzel.
"I want to but I am as well trying to protect her from this potential danger. So just let me keep a hold of it for now and let's go back home." Cassandra said trying to get out of this situation.
"Ok, I trust you Cass. Come on guys let's go home and see what has happened since we have been away." Rapunzel said, feeling like she could trust Cassandra.
The trio started to walk out of the room. King Edmond sees the difference in Cassandra's appearance, and has a thought about it.
"Wow, I'm shocked that Cassandra could wield the Moonstone. Although she has lots of will power from what I can tell in this little time I have known her, so she must have been chosen by Eugene and Rapunzel for a good reason." King Edmond says, not realizing he is voicing his thoughts out-loud.
"Thank you your majesty, although I wasn't exactly chosen to wield the Moonstone by Rapunzel and Eugene." Cassandra said.
"How did you know my thoughts? Or did I speak them out loud again?" King Edmond asked shocked.
"You spoke them out loud again, Edmond" Eugene said to his father.
"Oh, well I'll work on that Eugene." King Edmond said, not seeming to care that he said his thought out loud.
"Ok, well we've got to go home and see what all has happened while we have been gone. Want to join us King Edmond?" Rapunzel asked.
"Rapunzel wants me to join them back to the kingdom in which they live, I might as well accept since I probably won't be invited again anytime soon." King Edmond said, speaking his thoughts out loud. "I accept your offer, Rapunzel." King Edmond said after he finished saying his thoughts.
"Splendid," Rapunzel said, thinking of how much they could learn about the Dark Kingdom while traveling back to Corona.
"Well let's get going then, the sooner we start moving the sooner we reach home." Lance said, causing everyone to remember that he was there.
As the group walked out the front of the castle they were met with the giant chasm that they had made it over earlier. They noticed a speck on the horizon as they walked out of the castle, as the speck got closer they realized it was a hot air balloon. As the hot air balloon landed the group was curious about who was controlling it until a familiar face popped up from below the sides.
"Ulf, hey buddy. Wait why are you here? And how did you find us?" Rapunzel asked happily but then realized that him being here could be a bad thing.
Then Ulf went into explaining how he got here by using his miming gestures, and with Lance and Eugene saying what he meant by doing those gestures. In the end the group learned that he was sent here to check up on the group to see if they made it there safe, and that Rapunzel's parents sent him to go and find her because she needed her help.
"Ok, well then let's get going. If my parents need my help then we have to leave now." Rapunzel said urgency clear in her tone. As she said that she pushed the whole group into the hot air balloon, including King Edmond, and the horses.
"Ok raps, we're going. Just stop pushing us because we are already inside the hot air balloon." Cassandra said uneasily, because she hadn't told anyone what she had seen inside the House of Yesterday's Tomorrow. Because she wasn't sure how they would respond, and how she should respond as well.
"You ok Cassandra?" Lance asked, because he couldn't tell if she was thinking or wanting to punch him.
"Yea, I'm fine. How long until we reach Corona?" Cassandra said quickly, trying to not let that conversation last very long.
"3 days at most." Eugene said looking at Ulf mime out his answer.
"Ok, then." Cassandra said, knowing it would be a long trip back to Corona.
And Cassandra was right, during those 3 days Rapunzel asked King Edmond questions about the Dark Kingdom and he told story's about it causing a few people to listen to them if they were interested. If they weren't then they tried to find a way to block out the story, but in the end they just listened to the story.
(At Corona)
"Wow it feels good to be back here. Now if you'll excuse me I need a break from all of your faces, because I have been cooped up with all of you for far too long on this trip. Except you blonde, now I'll be heading back to my room to take a well deserved nap on my bed." Eugene said as he got out of the hot air balloon, but was stopped after he had finished saying that by a mysterious stranger in a cloak.
"If I'll be Princess Rapunzel you've returned." Said the mysterious cloaked stranger.
"Do I know you?" Rapunzel asked, recognizing the voice but not remembering who's it was.
"Well I sure hope you do." The figure said before taking off his hood.
So that seemed like a good place to stop this chapter. So I'm hoping you guys liked this chapter, I will be updating between this book and my other one "The Republic and The Rebellion". So I have another book on it's way as well, it is a Miraculous book and I have a good feeling about it. My other book "Catdora Band" is going on hiatus for a little while, so yea I will alternate between books and updating on two of the books once a week. So with that, bye
