Chapter 1: Movie Night

The next day, I met Sarah, James, and Henri, as well as some of my other best friends, Alex Russo, Justin Evans, and Max Greenwald at Alex, Justin, and Max's house in Squirrel Hill to watch movies. "Hi, guys!" I greeted my friends. "Hi, Angel!" Sarah greeted back. There were lots of good food for everyone to eat, from Red Robin take-out to microwave popcorn and candy, and even cheesecake. We all voted to watch the live-action version of The Lion King, which we saw at the Loew's Waterfront Theater a year ago. "I don't know about you, but I personally enjoy this more than a movie theater, Alex," Sarah stated. "That's good, Sarah," Alex remarked. "I was thinking the same thing," I stated. "It's not a good idea to go to movie theaters until the virus is controlled," Alex pointed out. "I knew that Benedict getting back together with me was a complete joke," Sarah pointed out. "He just pretended to be interested in me, and he never really was all that interested in me, to be honest." "I wonder if he survived the coronavirus outbreak, or not," Alex wondered. "How are things going, Justin?" James asked. "They are going very well, James," Justin replied. "Is your new summer camp going all right?" "Oh, of course it is," James stated. "The Shady Side Academy seniors are going to have an in-person commencement ceremony at the end of the month." "I feel bad that today's seniors didn't get to experience what we got growing up, like prom and senior banquet," Justin explained. "I especially remember taking Alex to the senior prom." "I don't remember who I went to my senior prom with," James admitted. "But, I am glad that we both graduated high school when we did- in 2006 and in 2011!" "I heard that you were eating the Pac-Man Cake at work yesterday, Henri," Max pointed out. "Why did you do that?" "Well, I was hungry, Max, and it looked so good," Henri explained. "All of the candy here looks good, too!" "Yeah, there are lots of good things from Swedish fish to Junior Mints to gummy bears and Kit-Kat bars," Max agreed. Of course, Alex was bawling her eyes out at the Mufasa death scene. We didn't even have to step outside since it was just the 7 of us. I, of course, was laughing at the Simba fighting Scar scene when I thought they were acting like they loved each other. After the movie was over, we got a phone call from Mrs. Ellis stating about a meeting at the Pittsburgh's Perfect Parties office the next morning. Therefore, it was time for all of us to leave. "Thanks for a great day, everyone!" I thanked my friends. "You're welcome, Angel," Sarah replied. "Bye, guys!" "Bye!"
