He entered the room, locking the door behind him securely as he put the stuff he'd bought under the bed and sat down. He looked at the calendar. The letters would be arriving tomorrow so he needed to leave.

It was three in the morning as he checked out of the inn he was staying at, took the knight bus back to Privet Drive and entered the Durseleys' residence through the backdoor. He then quietly went into the closet that was his room in that house and waited for morning to come.

A few hours later as Harry made his 'family's' breakfast while his uncle complained about his chores and everything someone knocked on the door and slipped in a letter with a seal. Harry ignored it knowing Petunia would pick it up. She did and showed Vernon the letter. The big fat man squint his eyes looking at the sender's address as he glared at Harry who looked at him in confusion.

Vernon said nothing as he tore the letter before crumpling it in his big fist. Harry continued on with his cooking as after a few minutes a letter came in flying through the fireplace and hit Vernon in the face. As he was about to pick it up the entire house started to shake as letters upon letters started filling into the house through the fireplace, windows and the letter slot on the door.

"Grab them!" Vernon shouted as the three Durseleys quickly began to work. This had to have been the most physical Harry had seen them over the years of living here as the three grabbed whatever letter they could before tearing and crumpling them all. Harry just stood there watching all of the entertainment while flipping the pancakes.

Once they had collected all the letters Vernon and Dudley huffed loudly as they came and sat on the couches in the living room while Petunia went ahead to put the letters in the trash. Harry served them breakfast as Vernon eyed him from the corner. It was a good thing the boy hadn't seen the letter or else they would've lost free labor.

As night fell in and the Durseleys went to sleep Harry left the house through the backdoor and caught the knight bus back to Diagon alley. He boarded off at Gringotts and went in. Barefang, the goblin was waiting for him.

"Evening, Mr Potter," he said bowing as Harry bowed back.

"Is everything ready?" asked Harry. The goblin nodded and took him to his office.

Arabella Figg knew the Durseleys. She also knew that Harry Potter was under their care. So when one day the police showed up out of nowhere along with the Child Protective Services she knew something had happened. The Durseleys couldn't have gone that far, would they, she thought as she peeked through her window looking at the cops arresting the Durseley couple. Little Dudley was in the middle of having his early snack when the CPS nabbed him, putting him in their van and drove away.

The entire commotion served as a sort of entertainment for the neighborhood as rumor soon spread that the Durseleys were child abusers. They looked at Petunia as the cops dragged her and her husband away. The embarrassment and shame she felt that day was the worst as the officers threw her into the van.

Vernon was a bit had to bring under control due to his large size and strength. It took five officers and two taser shots to bring him down. Even after that he could still move. Eventually he was brought under control as he lost the energy resist them. The officers dragged him to the van where they put him with his wife.

Arabella was on the move. It sucked being a squib as it meant she couldn't have any magical means of communication or travel network serviced in her house. She ultimately had to rely on the slow owl post as she wrote Dumbledore a private letter.

Harry opened the large doors and entered the place. This was amazing. It was still shocking to know he owned something like this. It was as big as his entire neighborhood back at Privet Drive and then there were the vast acres of the remaining estate. What was surprising was that even though it was left unattended all these years the place looked completely new and taken care of.

As Harry entered further in the house elf appeared beside him. Harry looked at her as she bowed to him.

"Temmie has been waiting for master's arrival," the elf said before looking at him.

"Harry, please," he said. "Are you the one who takes care of this place?" he asked. The elf nodded, looking a bit nervous when Harry smiled. "You've done an amazing job, Temmie," he said causing the elf to smile proudly. "Is there anywhere I can put my stuff?"

"Temmie will do that for you master…I mean Harry," the elf said.

"Please, let me do it," said Harry. The elf nodded before taking him to the main bedroom. It was amazingly luxurious yet simple-looking at the same time. This is where his parents would've lived once, thought Harry as he stood at the door, not entering the room. Temmie looked at him confused.

"Does Harry not like this room?" she asked.

He sniffed, curbing down his emotions as he smiled. "I do," he said. "But do you have any other room where I can stay?"

The elf looked at him confused wondering why he wouldn't live in the main room but then complied and took him to the room next to his parents'. It was almost as big as the master bedroom. "This will do," Harry said. "Thank you, Temmie."

The elf nodded before leaving Harry to prepare a light meal. After a very long time a Potter had returned back to the main manor. It was certainly joyous.

Harrys settled his things in the room before looking at the book in the bottom of his case. He picked it up and looked at it. "Thank you," he said looking at the book when Temmie knocked at the door. Harry turned around to see she had brought him a light snack. He smiled. "Is there anywhere I can keep some of my important items?" he asked.

"Every room has a blood-rune locker," said Temmie as she showed him the small locker in his room. This was perfect as Harry put the book in it before locking it back. Only he would be able to open the locker because it recognized only his touch. Once the book had been kept away safely he put his other stuff around which wasn't much considering he had come from his relatives' home after all. There was some paperwork from Gringotts which needed to be kept away safely, too.

Once he was done with putting his things around he sat on the chair in his room by the fireplace and looked outside the window as he remembered the changes that had come to his life since he had found that book.

[FLASHBACK]

It was the September of 1990 when one night Harry woke up to the sound of something falling. Half asleep he looked around in his dark 'room' knowing that the sound had come from in there. He turned on the light and saw a book lying on the floor. He wondered how it got here. He knew the Durseleys didn't have a book like that in the house. He knew that because he was the one who did all the cleaning and hence, knew where everything in the house was.

Picking up the book he turned it over to see if anything was written on the covers. Nothing. The cover was empty. It somewhat looked like the journal his uncle had. As he opened the book he felt as if the book stung him. Dropping it he looked at his hand and saw a very fine paper cut in his index finger. He looked at the book before carefully picking it up again.

"Hello, Harry."

"Ah!" Harry gasped before dropping the book again. He looked at it carefully. Did he just hear a voice coming out of that book? He got up, opened the closet's door and looked outside to see if anyone had woken up. When he heard nothing but the snores of his uncle and cousin he went back in and closed the door. He dragged his mattress over to the door so as to stop any sound from escaping before he carefully lifted the book again.

"Did…Did you just talk to me?" he asked.

"I did," the book responded. Harry flinched a little but didn't drop it this time. "I am sorry if I scared you."

"How is this possible?" Harry said.

"Everything is possible, Harry," the book said. "You just have to believe it. Also, you don't have to worry about others listening to me talk because if you notice you are hearing me inside your head." When Harry thought about it the book really was speaking to him inside his head. How was that possible? How could a book talk in the first place?

"What are you?" Harry asked.

"You will come to know everything once you start to read me," the book said. "For now, let's just say that I have been sent to you by a concerned someone, someone who wants you to live your life for who you truly are."

"What I truly am?" he asked.

"Read me and you will find out," the book said. "You may find it unbelievable at first but I want you to trust me. With time you will see that everything I say is the truth."

Harry woke up to the smell of fresh air as he sat up looking around the room. He wondered if someone had come looking for him back at the Durseleys' place after Barefang had the muggle authorities informed about a possible child abuse taking place in the house anonymously but he didn't care anymore. As he got off the bed and walked over to the window to enjoy the beautiful view of the estate, someone knocked on the door. He turned around to see it was Temmie. She had come to inform him that breakfast was ready. He looked at the time and saw it was around ten. He had slept late.

As he freshened up he thought about the things he needed to do before he was to leave for Hogwarts. There were still a few things left to do at Gringotts along with finding those people the book had told him about. Fortunately there was still about a month's time left before he had to leave for Hogwarts.

As he got out of the shower he saw the breakfast was in his room. He smiled before devouring it as he was still hungry from last night.

Once done with his breakfast he decided to take a tour around the manor. As he had noticed there were a lot of things here and they all belonged to him now. Centuries worth of things all kept here safe and secure. As per the book's suggestion he decided to start with the library.

Dumbledore couldn't bear McGonagall complaining anymore. He had more concerning things at hand. Arabella's report had come in over a day late and looking at the trackers he had placed on the boy he got nothing about Harry's current whereabouts. Did the Durseleys really…? No! He shoved those thoughts aside. Vernon and Petunia knew too well to not harm Harry too much. They had a deal with him. The problem was he didn't know where the muggle authorities were keeping them and Harry, if they had found him in the first place.

The door to his office opened as Snape entered walking ever so swiftly it looked like he was floating in thin air.

"You called for me, Albus?" he said.

"Ah, Severus," Dumbledore said, "I am afraid we've lost the boy." Snape's eyes widened. Did he hear that right? "It was reported to me about an hour ago that muggle authorities found signs of child abuse at the Durseleys' residence and hence arrested them."

"What about Harry?" asked Snape.

"I am afraid he wasn't at the house when the police came," said Dumbledore. "Arabella said that she hadn't seen Harry for over a month. Although that was normal seeing how Harry wasn't allowed to leave the house but with the Durseleys arrested and Harry missing I am afraid something bad has happened. I need you to find him, Severus."

"What about the trackers you placed on him?" asked Snape.

"I am afraid they aren't working as of last night," said Dumbledore. "You have to find him, Severus."

"I will," Snape said as he left the office. 'Old bastard,' he thought once he was on the other floor. "I am sorry, Lily," he said to himself as he headed for the exit.
