Lock and Shock made their way to the crooked swing set just before the spiral hill. It was made up of some spare wood and tightly knitted rope. They built it themselves when they were little kids. The two teenagers raced to the swing set to see who would get the swing first. They had been doing this for years and of course Lock would always win. He was much taller then Shock and Barrel and more athletic at that. Lock sat on the swing sticking his tongue out at Shock. "Ha! Beat you!" Shock sat on a rock using a twig to write in the dirt. She knew it would be awhile before Lock gave up the swing. Shock rested her chin on her hand. She would occasionally look up at Lock and pout.
Lock watched Shock as she ran her fingers through her dark purple hair. He remembered how it was always a mess when they were younger. Now Shock took great care of it, making sure to brush it and clean it daily. It reminded Lock of spiders silk except for the sticky part. Shock noticed Lock staring at her. "What?" Lock snapped out of his daze. "Come here." Shock walked over thinking he'd finally give her the swing. Instead Lock pulled her on to his lap. Shock's eyes widened. 'Why did he just do that?' Lock wrapped his tail around her stomach so she wouldn't fall off when he began to swing. Shock's hair blew in to Lock's face as they swung higher. He could smell the sweet aroma of lavender that it gave off. He shut his eyes and buried his nose in her hair.
Shock could feel Lock breathing on her neck. She didn't know why Lock was being so strange all of a sudden. Shock closed her eyes; Lock's breath on her neck was giving her a feeling she never experienced before. The two sat there not speaking a word as the sun set in the horizon. Shock's eyes flew open as she felt Lock stir under her. He stopped swinging and kissed the dip of her neck. Shock turned to face him. He tried to look away. "Sorry I shouldn't have done that." He looked in to her face. Her hazel eyes were soft and her lips curved in to a faint smile. She turned to look forward but Lock gently held her chin and placed a kiss on her pale black lips. Shock closed her eyes and kissed him back. His blue lips felt soft against her own. She had been wanting this for the longest time and it was even better then she expected. They pulled away from each other slowly, realizing they had broken the barriers of friendship. "It's getting dark." Shock looked down kicking the dirt. "Yeah. I guess we should head home."
They rose from the swing hand in hand and made their way back to the tree house. "Lock..." Shock had been thinking most of the walk home. "Yes Shock?" Shock looked in to his clear blue eyes. "What exactly happened back there?" Lock smiled. "We broke the barriers Shock. We broke the barriers." Shock smiled. 'Finally.'
The End! ^.^ Fluffy!!!
I know it's short sorry!
