POV: Molly Weasley

Very sad one-shot.

Do you know what happens when your child dies?

When your child dies, you can walk into their bedroom and hear their small pet owl screeching in it's cage, and hear his voice, and see his hair. His scent is still on the linen.

Do you know what happens when your child dies?

When your child dies, you are lost within yourself, for what seems to be ten thousand eternities.

Do you know what happens when your child dies?

When your child dies, you will never feel the same about anything, because EVERYTHING will remind you of him.

Do you know what happens when your child dies?

When your child dies, you shun away your loved ones and your family, though the blame isn't theirs any more than it is your own.

Do you know what happens when your child dies?

When your child dies, you find yourself a stranger in your own home.

Do you know what happens when your child dies?

When your child dies, a part of you dies with him.

Do you know what happens when your child dies?

When your child dies, your hair will turn grey quicker, and the lines around your eyes will face downward and deepen into soft, paved valleys.

Do you know what happens when your child dies?

When your child dies, you don't know where they are. They are lost in the Supermarket.

Do you know what happens when your child dies?

When your child dies, you find yourself remarkably, noticeably alive, heartbeat and all. And yet... not as alive, because of a chunk that has become void.

Do you know what happens when your child dies?

When your child dies, you ask yourself why.

Why him? Why not me?

Why a Weasley?

Why anybody?

Do you know what happens when your child dies?

When your child dies, you...live.
