We have come now to the end.
"Days pass like the breeze that blows gently upon the fields. Time runs by me so quickly now, I seem no longer to have any time as my own. The memories I hold are no so dear as they used to be. The life I had before was better than anyone could've asked for. Time allows us to make choices, allows us to overcome and rejoice. My time is leaving me. My days are drawing to a close. Time to me now is meaningless. Life to me now is purposeful. I can begin to live again."
They all stand there. Frodo helps his uncle onto the ship. Sam stands just away from Merry and Pippin. His tears fall silently upon his rounded cheeks. His eyes hold such sadness. Merry and Pippin stand closely. Pippin watches as Frodo comes back and collects a pack and passes back to the ship. Merry does not cry. He does not want to show Frodo his sadness. He wants Frodo to be happy. He wants Frodo to know he is happy for him. He hears Pippin give out a soft squeak-like sound and sees the tears. The Merry's own tears cascade down his own face. He cannot hold them in.
Frodo comes back. He stands before his cousins and friend and smiles gently. He first embraces Merry. Strongly, and compassionately. Merry sobs so hard and so much, that Frodo holds him a lot longer than anyone-save Sam.
Frodo finally ends the embrace. He walks to Pippin, who bows his head and closed his eyes tightly. Frodo wraps his arms around him and brings him in close. Pippin's tears are wholesome. They seem limitless.
Lastly, Frodo goes to Sam. He looks to Sam for a long time. He leans forward as Sam bowed his head and Frodo plants a kiss upon his companion's head.
"If you had not of carried me when I faltered, if you had not stayed with me, this world would've been different now. You remained with me. You guided me, you followed me. You were my friend."
Frodo steps up in order to board the ship. He glances back to his friends and family. All cry. All watch. All see the ship is ready to depart.
"And now I will sail across a silver sea. Why do you weep? What are these tears upon your face? White shores are calling. You and I will meet again."
The ships begins to sail away. The horizon stands before them like a giant wall of New Hope. Merry puts his arm around Pippin's trembling shoulders. Sam wipes his eyes as he watches the ship sail off into the vast horizon of light. Frodo is being carried home.
They have come to journey's end.
