A Valentines Day Surprise
Daisy was getting ready for the Valentine's Day Ball. Instead of her normal yellow dress she wore a stunning sky blue gown that brought out the pink in her cheeks and her sapphire eyes. She picked up a diamond-studded crown and placed it on her head. She smiled as she put on a silver necklace that Luigi had given her.
She sighed happily. Luigi was the only one that loved her for her tomboyish ways. They had even beaten Mario and Peach in the Double Mario Kart Races. She would never forget when and how they had met...
(Flashback)
Daisy was talking to Peach when two men walked up. One was Mario, whom she had met before, but the tall, green, extremely handsome man she had never met before.
Peach smiled. "Hi Mario! Daisy this is Luigi, Mario's younger brother."
"How do you do?" Luigi said with a smile and a tip of the hat. He kissed her hand. "Tis a pleasure."
Daisy blushed. "The pleasure's mine." 'Talk about charming!'
Mario and Peach winked at each other and grinned. They left the couple alone. (In other words, it was a set up!)
They had teamed up and won the doubles tournament with flying colors. After that things just soared between them.
(End flashback)
Daisy was startled by a knock. She opened her door and found Parakarry with a bouquet of different colored roses tied together with a yellow ribbon with a note. "Thanks Parakarry!"
He smiled. "They're not from me Princess." He flew away.
Daisy closed the door and read the note.
My Dearest Daisy
These roses have no comparison to your beauty. I love you. Love, Luigi Mario
Daisy giggled and put them in a vase. Their sweet scent reminded her of her own beloved prince. She then had a good feeling for some reason like something was going to happen. (Foreshadowing!)
Daisy looked at the clock. 'Oh perfect I'm freakin' late!' she thought as she dashed out.
Later...
Daisy arrived at the Mushroom Kingdom. She went into the ballroom.
Luigi wasn't there.
Peach and Mario walked over to her. "Hi Daisy."
"Hi guys! How was the honeymoon?" Daisy asked.
"Great! Isle Delfino was beautiful. It would have been perfect if Bowser and his son hadn't of taken the Shine Sprites from the tower and ruined the vacation," Peach sighed.
"But it ended well," Mario said. He looked like he was keeping a secret.
"Where's Luigi?" she asked.
Mario grinned a little. "Oh he's coming. He has something special planned for you Daisy that I think you'll like."
Peach smiled. "We're not telling but it's a doosy!"
An hour later a song played. It was a romantic waltz.
Luigi came in and bowed before Daisy. He was wearing a black tux with his signature cap. (Hey he wouldn't be Luigi without it!) "Would you like to dance?"
"I'd love to," she replied.
They waltzed beautifully and it wasn't until it ended that she noticed that they were the only ones on the floor.
Luigi sank down to one knee. He opened up a ring box with a loving smile. "Princess Daisy will you marry me?"
Daisy was speechless! She grinned. "What do you think? Of course I will you crazy, wonderful..." She kissed him passionately.
The crowd roared with applause as they declared their love for all to see.
