The lab, for once, was quiet. No music blared from the stereo; no current of electricity hummed in the background.

Abby gave an uncharacteristic scowl. It didn't matter that the generator should kick in soon; her current experiment would have to be repeated.

There was a knock on the glass wall. Abby turned and squinted in the glare of a flashlight. "Thought you might want some company," Gibbs said, seating himself on a nearby stool.

Her face softened. "Thanks, Gibbs." She gestured to the equipment, which should have been spinning at a constant rate. "Sorry, but you're gonna have to wait a while for your results."

He shrugged. "Kate and Tony went home; we won't be doing much until the power's restored."

Abby hopped off her stool and began rummaging through her desk. Gibbs grabbed his flashlight and held it over her shoulder. She turned and smiled. "Thanks." She continued her search.

Gibbs cleared his throat. "Uh... Abby, what are you looking for?"

"You'll see... aha!" She triumphantly held up a small rectangular package. "Poker, anyone?"

Gibbs smirked. "Poker?"

"Can you think of anything better to do?"

He could, actually, but curbed the impulse to say so. "Poker it is."
