Summary: Winter Break comes to Hogwarts and Ron has plans for the trio to stay at the Burrow but Hermione has other plans. Hermione gets invited to stay at Viktor's but will Ron admit to Hermione on how he feels before it's too late?

Chapter 1

"Hermione, Harry, why don't the two of you come to the Burrow for Winter Break?" Ron Weasley asked as Harry Potter and Hermione Granger led the way into double potions, Ron trailing behind them.

"It doesn't sound like a bad idea Ron," Hermione replied as she sat down in her seat. "It's just that Viktor asked me to spend time with him."

Ron's grip on his book tightened at the sound of Viktor's name.

Harry noticed Ron's sudden mood change so he decided to change the topic. "I, uh, did my homework by myself Hermione without really even asking for you to help me."

But Hermione wasn't listening to Harry, she was focused on Ron. "What's wrong with you?"

"There's nothing wrong with me, Hermione." He said flatly.

"Oh, no, after I mentioned Viktor's name you suddenly get mad."

"I'm mad-wait-No, I'm not mad! And Harry can just come with me to the Burrow then."

Hermione quickly looked at Harry. "Harry will decide for himself. He doesn't have to go if he doesn't want to."

"He will come to the Burrow-"

            "He'll decide for himself-"

"He doesn't need you telling him that-"

"Shut up Ron. I've had enough." Hermione grabbed her things and moved to a different table away from Ron.

            Ron rolled his eyes. "Girls."

Ron entered the Common Room and found it empty. He walked over to the couch and sat down before noticing a piece of paper lying on the table. As he leaned closer he noticed that it was a letter and addressed to Hermione.

Dear Hermione, (I spelt it right!)

I'm really glad that you want to stay for winter break. You were right about not staying at Ron's because in your letters you two sound like you're ready to kill one another. You haven't told me much about Harry so I'm guessing he's doing fine. Oh, enclosed in this letter is the plane ticket (Planes are a muggle flying machine. I'm sure you know that already) that you will need to get to my place. I can't wait to see you this Saturday!

            Viktor

Ron glanced over and noticed the plane ticket just lying there. A smirk swept across his face as he grabbed the plane ticket and tucked it into his pocket. He then heard someone walk into the Common Room and he quickly dove behind the couch. Looking from his hiding spot, he saw Harry and Hermione enter the room and head over to where Viktor's letter was.

"I'm leaving tomorrow." Hermione told Harry as the two sat down on the couch.

"Are you sure that is what you want to do?"

"Yes, I can't stand Ron anymore." She said as she began to search for the plane ticket.

"Sometimes I can't stand Ron, but at least visit the Burrow over break."

            "MY TICKET!"

            Harry raised a brow. "What?"

"MY TICKET! I need it to go to Viktor's! It was just here when I left this room! I can't believe it!"

Ron, who was still hiding, glanced down at the ticket in his hands and knew he was doing the right thing.
