Disclaimer: I don't own Ranma nor am I him, nuff said.

A girl sat on the front step of her restaurant and sighed. The boy next to her was sobbing into his hands hysterically attracting looks of many people walking by. She sighed and reached into her pocket. Pulling out a handkerchief she once sewed for her beloved, she handed it to the boy. He sniffled and gave her a watery smile.

"Thanks." He began to blow his nose rather loudly. He handed the used cloth back to her but she shook her head.

"Keep it." He smiled but it faded to a frown.

"I used to hope that one day Akane would give me one..." He began to sob again but this time he used to damp handkerchief to hide his face. The girl rolled her eyes and pulled out a box from her back pocket. Opening it carefully, she took out one cigarette from it and placed in between her two lips. She took out a lighter and lit it, then took a long puff from it.

"I didn't know you smoked Ukyo." He sniffled as he looked out the cloud of smoke.

"I just started today, I decided a new obsession would be good." She held out the cigarette between her two fingers to watch it burn.

"A new obsession?"

"Yeah, quitting of course." She grinned at him. He took the cigarette from her fingers and puffed. She raised an eyebrow as he didn't cough like she did when she first tried it. "You smoke Ryoga?"

"No, I know how to though." He placed it back in her fingers. "When I was at Akari's place."

"What happened to her?"

"I left."

"Won't she come after you?"

"I don't care." He said softly and looked in the distance. Ukyo watched him and decided that he would have to do for tonight. She hastily put the cigarette back in her mouth and stood up in one motion.

"Want to get a drink?" She offered her hand to him.

"Sure." He replied taking it.

"This way." She took his hand and they walked down the street. She dropped it and put one arm around his shoulders. "Maybe we can get drunk enough that we'll forget their faces."

"Maybe."

A/N: I know this was kinda a short one-shot but I wrote it from a thought I had last night.
