In..out..ar...oh, bloody hell!
The youngest Weasley sibling scowled.
Who cared if she was the only girl? Why did SHE have to help mom knit the yearly Christmas sweaters? Ron was a much better knitter! He was a bloody savant!
"What are you doing here?" Cho Chang blinked,"I wouldn't pick you as the librarian type."
Cho's voice echoed through out the empty library. It was the day before Christmas break started, after all. Most of the students were outside playing in the snow.
Ginny smiled politely,"I'm helping my mum out this year by helping her knit my brother's birthday presents."
Cho smiled, flashing perfect, straight teeth,"That's very nice of you. I must be going now though, good bye!"
The chinese girl glided away in all of her perfect, physical glory.
Ginny's eye twitched. Oh, how she hated that girl!
Not because the girl had dated Harry..oh no...okay, maybe at first.
When they had met, Ginny had been jealous.
Mind numbly, bone crushingly, heart wrenchingly jealous.
But then Ginny had gotten to know the girl. What a mistake...
Whiny...annoying...
How such a girl ever got into Ravenclaw would always be a mystery to the young redhead.
Ginny sighed and resumed knitting, oblivious of the predator closing in behind her...
-----
Luna Lovegood was excited.
More then excited, she was ecstatic!
Even more, she was...well..you get the point.
Why?
Well, that's not important right now.
She strolled through the halls toward the library...it was almost time to leave, and Ron had needed help finding Ginny. His sibling was no where to be found...and Luna was assigned to looking in the library for her.
"Wow", Luna sighed, looking at the empty library.
Not even Hermione was skulking about.
"Ginny?" Luna called out.
The said red head's laugh rang through out the room.
Luna peered around a bookshelf and her eyes widened in surprise.
"I suppose you'll want me to knit you one too," Ginny smiled, her face mere inches from Draco's. Amber eyes met silver. Her face flushed at their close proximity, and for a moment a burning, heart stopping promise flashed through Draco's eyes.
Draco scowled and stood up,"No."
He slithered off, leaving the petite red-head in a flurry of confusion.
Ginny bit her lip and returned to her knitting.
Luna sighed in relief as Draco chose a route that would not alert him of her presence.
After a few minutes Luna headed toward her room to pack.
For some reason, she couldn't face Ginny right at this moment.
For some reason, she suspected she'd just witnessed something very precious...
