A time and a place…

"Where's Rommie?" Dylan asked as he made his way into the Maru's cockpit.

"In the crew quarters." Beka sat at the control, "Again."

"She's not…"

"Oh yeah, for two solid hours now. I honestly don't know how she does it: I mean, I know she's an Android, and as such her body fascinates her, but this is getting beyond a joke."

"You think this is bad: remember that sate banquette on Sinti two weeks back? The one you managed to con your way out of by pretending to be ill?"

"Yeah…"

"She went missing half way through, and I caught her in the toilets…"

"She wasn't?"

"She was! And to top it off, the Saber-Jaguar ambassador decided to use the conveniences at the same time. I have never been so embarrassed in my entire life."

"I can just imagine Charlemagne's face when he reads the report: 'Found the Andromeda Ascendants Captain and AI-Avatar in a compromising position in the toilets…' It'll make his day!"

"This is not funny!"

"I beg to differ."

"Fine: next time she goes missing, I'll send you to look for her!"

"You wouldn't!"

"You'd rather I sent Harper?"

"When you put it like that…"

"Hi!" Rommie walked in, a huge smile on her face, "Are we there yet?"

"No." Beka turned away, trying not to laugh, "We've got a little time left…"

"Um, Rommie." Dylan did his best to sound professional, "Can I just have a quick word with you?"

"What about?" The A.I. asked, an innocent look on her face.

"It's about this 'getting to know my body' kick you're on…"

"Is there a problem?"

"No, no problem as such, it's just that there is a time and a place for everything. Something's are best left to when you are alone in your quarters…"

"And not when you're at a state banquette!" Beka snorted.

"Yeah: not when you're at a banquette." Dylan nodded, "It's just something are best done in privacy…"

"I am unaware of braking any regulations." Rommie looked a little confused, "Is there something wring with the way I act?"

"No, but I feel you should keep your experimenting restricted to times when you are off duty." Dylan looked painfully embarrassed, "Is that ok?"

"Ok." Rommie nodded.

"Oh, and one last thing." Dylan winced, "I don't think an Afro is really an appropriate hairstyle for a High Guard Avatar…"

The End

And for those of you who were expecting something rude and crude: get you're minds out of the gutter!
