My summer vacation-

No vacation at all!

I'm stuck with a family

That's more wide than tall!

Now, maybe I'm wrong,

But shouldn't there be

Some more fun involved!

Locked up in this house

That's no way to spend it!

No more! I want out!

My summer vacation

In the prime of my youth-

No boy of my age

Should be wishing for school!

So I sit here and brood

I'm getting quite good

And I think maybe someday

Life will be as it should.
