Trusting You

"Brother, are you sure what we're doing is ok?" Sara asked.

"Does it feel right?" he answered, giving her a quick kiss on the head from her position in his lap.

She thought for a moment, and replied, "Yes, but-"

"Then that's all that matters. Who cares what anyone else thinks." Setsuna held firm to this belief as Sara smiled up at him and kissed him lightly on the lips. He tried to deepen the kiss when she broke away.

She got out of his lap and sat next to him, saying, "But…but what about mom? She-"

"Do you love me?" he said, looking her in the eye.

"Of course I do!"

"Then like I said, nothing else matters. Trust me, ok?"

For a reply, Sara jumped on top of Setsuna and said, giggling, "All right... I trust you more than anyone I've ever met."

Setsuna smiled at her and put his lips on hers, deepening the kiss from earlier. This time, Sara didn't want to pull away. The kiss told them both how much they truly loved each other and that nothing else in the world mattered right then.

Not angels, not demons, not some silly war that was being fought…

They'd deal with everything else later – Now, they had more important things to take care of…
