"Make sure to be gentle with him."

"Don't drop him."

"Don't scare him either."

"He's very delicate right now."

"It's a fresh start so don't screw up."

"He won't remember you. Or anyone else."

"A clean slate?"

"Yes."

He had carried the Full Metal alchemist. He was a light burden. There was no automail to weigh him down. The Elric's had all the luck. But wasn't he an Elric too? He didn't want to be. Didn't want to be connected to that man in any shape or form. His anger towards the man hadn't dimmed over the centuries. Centuries of hating that man. Even Edward Elric hatred for his father was dim in comparison.

Speaking of the said Full Metal alchemist…he was unconscious, or at least they thought he was. Almost in a daze, trapped in-between life and death perhaps? Knowing his luck probably not. There was a good chance That the Full Metal alchemist was gone and had been for some time.

Gluttony had found him. Amazely enough didn't eat him, Lust must had stopped him in time. The two of them brought him back. Gluttony only listened to Lust after, which could get annoying when she wasn't around.

They were short on homunculus. Needed more after losing two. Needed a Greed and Pride. It was Wrath that had suggested the idea. Maybe it was a child's innocence. Whatever the reason was it got the others thinking.

Thinking about the possibilities. After, the full metal alchemist had achieved his goal. His brother was restored, as were his limbs.

"No reason not to restore him."

"Won't he be angry though?"

"Memories are erased anyway, he would never know."

"They do come back eventually."

"Of course, but would he be smart enough to realized the difference?"

"Is that a rhetoric question?"

"I was being serious."

"So was I."

"He's a very smart boy after all, I bet he could piece it together."

"Do you really think so?"

"Yes, he's his father's son."

"Not his mother's?"

"Never was."

"Ah."

Envy at watched Lust and Sloth argued among themselves on where to put the Elric. Envy just stared at the sleeping Ed. Who looked oddly content. It was strange and Envy stared at him in bewilderment. The whole situation was different. He should be at the boy's throat, willing to finish him off. Since a chance like this may never come again.

But he wasn't.

He had no desire to kill the boy not even put a blasted finger on him. Not like all the other times. He was told to kill or at least maim the blond boy. That he should live up to his name and that the boy had replaced him. Dante had drilled it into his mind. The hatred.

He never imagined he be looking at the boy any differently. The anger towards the boy so focussed in his mind.

Then the façade collapsed.

No Dante to tell him. Just Envy.

Lust had told him to carry the Full Metal alchemist. He did it with ease. There was some familiarly in the movement.

Sloth had suggested Pride. Lust had agreed.

Pride. Envy. Two sins everyone had. The hardest to get rid of and the easiest to have.

Pride and Envy went hand in hand after all.
