Sequel to My Life As A High School Freshman

Chapter 1: The Mark Club Chapter

The sun shone brightly over Retroville. It was the last week of summer, and everyone was getting ready to go back to school. Well, mostly everyone that is. While most people were out shopping for school supplies, Jimmy and Cindy we're making out in a bedroom somewhere. While most people were just finishing their summer reading books, Jimmy and Cindy hadn't even started theirs yet because they were too busy making out in a bedroom somewhere. But, it didn't matter. They were, after all, the smartest kids in their grade. They'd somehow manage to make it through this year...

"TO DANCE, NO WAY, TO MAKE A LIVING, MASOCHISM, PAIN, PERFECTION, MUSCLE SPASMS, CHIROPRACTORS, SHORT CAREERS, EATING DISORDERS!" Cindy screamed from her room. Jimmy smiled to himself. She had just gotten the Rent CD about a week ago, and already had memorized all the words to La Vie Boheme. It was fun to sit there, listening to Cindy belt the words to every song on the CD. He had taken her to see the movie a couple days ago, and she just about cried herself to death at the end. Jimmy had even cried a little too! (A/N: and who can blame them? It's a sad movie!). So, here he was, planning for the first day of school, and listening to his girlfriend sing La Vie Boheme. Maybe he could surprise her with a little visit. Jimmy got up, went out the door, and snuck over to Cindy's house. He reached her room just in time for the end of the song.

"VIVA LA VIE BOHEME!" She screamed, pumping her fist into the air. Jimmy quietly ran up to her and tackled her to the bed. "EEK!" Cindy squealed playfully, realizing it was Jimmy. "GET THIS THING OFF ME!"

"It's good to see you too!" Jimmy said, laughing and planting a kiss on her forehead. She giggled and brought her lips up to his for another kiss.

"James Neutron you know you shouldn't be spying on a girl when she's in her bedroom," Cindy replied when they pulled away.

"Well, when that girl is you how can I help myself?" He asked her with a devilish grin. He was just leaning down for another kiss when the front door slammed open then closed.

"Shit!" Cindy whispered, pushing Jimmy off of her. "My mom's home!"

"What should I do?" Jimmy whispered back.

"Um...um..." Cindy looked around frantically, but saw nothing. Her mother's footsteps were getting closer to her door.

"Cynthia, are you up here?"

"Oh god! If she sees you up here, she'll flip! Um...hide under the bed!"

"What? I'm not hiding under your..."

"Just do it!" Cindy practically shouted, pushing Jimmy under her bed.

"Cynthia? Is someone there?" her mother asked, opening her door.

"N-no Mom! No one here," she said nervously.

"I could've sworn I heard a boy's voice."

"It must have been your imagination!" Cindy replied. "It's just me up here."

"Cynthia, are you OK? You're acting so strange!"

"Mom, I'm fine!" Cindy insisted.

"OK, well...bye then," her mother said, shutting her door. Cindy sighed and Jimmy came out from under the bed.

"That was close," he said.

"Yeah," Cindy agreed.

"She seems so nice though," Jimmy continued. "I don't see how she abuses you."

"You haven't seen her when she's drunk," Cindy replied quietly, shifting her gaze to the floor. "It's horrible." Jimmy walked over and placed a hand on her shoulder.

"I'd better get going incase she decides to come back up," Jimmy said. "But I still don't know where to go!"

"Um...OH! THE WINDOW!" Cindy replied, laughing.

"What's so funny?"

"We're, like, the smartest kids in our class! Why didn't we think of this before?" Jimmy laughed and headed towards the window. He turned around right before reaching it. "Can I have one more kiss?" Cindy giggled and kissed him lightly on the lips.

"Until we meet again, my love!" She said dramatically as Jimmy climbed out the window.

"I shall be counting the minutes!" Jimmy replied, equally as dramatically. They both laughed. Jimmy dropped gently to the ground below him and waved at Cindy once more before jogging back to his house.
