This is exactly what it looks like. Don't flame me or I'll cry. Usually I'm a babe, but well, sumtimes bad things happen

I own nothing and no one, although I'd like to arrange a play date with Ranger ; )

The strains of music floated over the dance floor where the new bride and groom held each other closely and swayed to the music. She was beautiful, a radiant bride. She had smiled all day, smiled even when there were tears streaming down her cheeks. Everyone thought they were tears of joy, but the bride and the man who stood silently in the back of the church knew better. She was a good actress, but he had caught her when she glanced away from her groom for a fraction of a second and met his gaze with pain filled eyes.

Why had he come? He asked himself for the thousandth time that that day. And why hadn't he spoken up when the priest had asked that vital question. "If anyone objects to this marriage, let them speak now or forever hold their peace." But he had stayed silent.

Now, as they waltzed across the dance floor he repressed the urge to scream. His heart had been shattered today, but seeing her in his arms, with his ring on her finger was too much. As Ranger slipped out the door unnoticed in the shadows, he felt his control slip, and a single tear rolled down his cheek.
