The 4th Wall
"Ahh! It feels so good to be writing fanfiction again!" I chirp happily.
"Where the heck have you been for the last two years, Setsumi? Some people were starting to think you were dead!" Horohoro shouts.
"I was-Waaaiiit a minute, are you saying you missed me?"
"You bet!"
"Oh Horohoro, " I say with tears in my eyes, " that's the most touching thing you've ever-"
"I mean, it's about time you gave me more pie!"
"...Pie?"
"Yeah! The last time you gave me some was when you wrote Don't Call Us, We'll Call You! back in two-thousand four and-"
"You welcome me back by demanding I give you some PIE?"
"Uh, Setsumi, what are you doing with that two-by-four? Setsumi? Set-AAAUUUGGHH! OW! Wait-OWW! At-EEEYOWW-least tell the readers to en-AHH-joy your latest poem!"
"Oh right! You heard Horo-kun. Compliments and constructive criticism are/is greatly appreciated. Flames will be used to...ummm..."
"...Grill a pie for Horohoro?" the Ainu hopefully suggests.
"No! By the way, pies are not grilled!" I whack him with the two-by-four one last time.

I hear his name
and my heart
starts to thunder in my chest.
His voice is just
like a lion's
roar. It makes me shiver so!
His eyes are two
onyx lagoons
in which I would gladly drown.

of Amidamaru,
who I love.
"Love it? Loathe it? Tell me in your review," I address the readers.
Horohoro, carefully removing his splinters, asks, "Where is Amidamaru, anyway? After all, this poem is a tribute to your darling samurai."
"Eh, I decided to give him a break. I fawn enough over the poor cutie as it is."
"Oh...Can I have some pie now?"
