The dead of night
There is nothing to be found
They'll never suspect
That I'm around
Naruto opened his eyes and looked around the one room house that he was sharing with his team at the moment. Sasuke was sleeping near the corner of the room, next to the only window, and Kakashi-sensei was sleeping next to the door. Both did so for safety reasons, and Sasuke didn't want to sleep anywhere near Sakura. Sakura had decided to sleep in the middle of the room and Naruto had thought it best to sleep on the other side of the window.
The group was on a mission in Earth Country to retrieve a scroll for the Hokage and come back. A simple mission, really; nothing bad could happen like it did on the escort mission to Wave. That's' why, Naruto thought, it was the perfect chance to do what he was going to do, because no one would suspect that he was around. They all thought he was a deep sleeper, but it was just an acted he put up. When they would wake up there would be nothing found of Uzumaki Naruto.
Creeping throught the window
Creeping threw the night
Jumping towards the Moon
Without a single fright
Grabbing all of his belongings and quickly putting it in to his bag as quietly as possible, Naruto got ready to leave. Looking around the room once more to make sure he got everything and the others were asleep, Naruto opened the window. Unluckily for him it was old and hadn't been used in along time and when he finally got the thing to go up it made a small but still noticeable sound that a shinobi should have woken up from. Turning his head around and holding his breath, Naruto saw that everyone was still sleeping and a sigh of relief escaped him.
'Sorry guys,' was the only thing the blonde thought as he climbed out the window and ran towards the woods that had surrounded the house. When he was sure he was far enough away from the house, Naruto jumped up onto a tall tree using his chakra to reach the top branch. Leaping through the trees, the fox-like boy saw the moon shining brightly down onto him and he knew that he wasn't making a mistake.
Leaving this place
Leaving it behind
Never looking back
Never showing a sign
Naruto just needed to leave; he needed to leave Konoha and everything there behind, including his friends. The people there hated him and if he stayed there any longer he knew he was going to break under the hatred and loathing. If it meant giving up his friends he would do it just to be accepted, even if he might miss them anyways. He just wanted some things he was always denied in Konoha, acceptances, freedom, and love.
Sasuke slowly opened his eyes when the light of the sun blanketed his face. Noticing that the room seemed to be chillier than it should, he looked around the room and noticed two things. One Naruto and all his stuff was gone and two the window was opened. It didn't take him two seconds to figure out what happened; Naruto had left. He had left all the hatred and loathing behind him and went to start a new life. Sasuke was happy for him; the little smile on his face was telling him so, but also he felt sad at the same time.
For Naruto had left him behind.
