Gomamon's dripping form came out of the lake just as Tentomon sat on the shore. The seal digimon waved weakly at his friend and went to sit by his side, plopping his nostalgic face into his flippers. He sighed.

"You miss him, right?" Tentomon stated, still looking in the distance.

"Yeah. This college thing is a real bummer. And I can't stay around because I'm scaring his roommate," Gomamon snorted. "Stupid university..."

Tentomon cocked his head back slightly.

"You are scaring his roommate?"

"Oops, sorry," the other digimon said sheepishly. "I can't believe I'm missing him so much. A part of me grumbles 'he's a doormat, you can get over it.' But the other part says 'But he's my doormat of a partner!' and then..." Gomamon shook his head. "Listen to me! I'm rambling like him now!"

The seal digimon sighed again.

"It's so difficult at times," Tentomon filled in. "Sure, we constantly send each other emails, but it's not the same! It's silly, I know, but I don't feel like he's really listening. Actually, it reminds me of that time back in Vademon's dimension."

"That bad, uh?" the seal digimon said.

Tentomon sighed for sole answer and Gomamon joined him. After a moment of silence, Tentomon spoke up.

"Hey, Gomamon?"

"What?"

"Thank you."

"What for?"

"Just for being there," the insect answered.

Tentomon leaned against the furred digimon. Gomamon smiled.

"Thank you too," he retorted, leaning back.
