DISCLAIMER: I do not own these wonderful characters created by Joss Whedon. If I did, I would be in Hawaii on vacation instead of stuck here in three feet of snow at a computer. *smirk*
Faith threw a dart at a picture of the Scooby Gang. Everyone, even Giles and Angel. Everyone but Faith, that is.
The picture had been a gift from Willow for Christmas. You could tell she'd enhanced it herself on her computer, put everyone around a bit Christmas tree. It had come in a beautiful silver picture frame with sayings about friendship inscribed in it, but she'd taken the picture out days ago and hung it up on her wall with push pins She'd bought cheap darts at the dollar store and had put hundreds of holes in every face but Angel's.
She still hated him - he's a Vampire. Vampires are scum. But Vampire or not, that doesn't change the fact that he was drop-dead gorgeous.
She thought she was 'fitting in' with the other members of the gang. Xander loved her stories, Willow, Cordelia and Oz seemed to like her enough, they'd included her on a few outings to The Bronze even though they were really on a double-date thing. She also knew that she'd been growing on Buffy. She'd made an effort to be good friends with B. She was even willing to have her as a partner. They could be "The Slayers". Buffy and Faith, well, Faith and Buffy. Two girls against all demons that threaten the world. And yet, she hadn't heard from any of them since Christmas.
She could've chosen to show up at The Bronze a few times. She might've ran into them. She could've even stopped by good ole' Sunnydale High. Offered to help Giles with the research, if there was any. No one was keeping her informed on Hellmouth status.
She'd inadvertently killed a Vampire on her way to the Stop and Shop the other night, but other than that she'd hadn't had any action. Things were getting kind of boring. You can only sit through so many reruns of Melrose Place before you realize there has to be more to life than Andrew Shue and Grant Show.
She threw the last dart and sighed. She walked over to the 'dartboard' with the intention of pulled the darts off and starting over when she realized something odd. The darts made a heart around a certain male member of the gang.
Xander Harris.
She smiled, thinking just for a minute what it could be like.
Xander and Faith.
Faith and Xander.
I've always been good at rebounds, she thought. A smirk crept across her face when she pictured Xander naked. Too good to be true.
