Pa's Day.
Disclaimer: Do you think Tamora is spending her time writing fanfiction? Because if you do, you're a few bricks short of a brick wall.
"Daddy?" The sleepy young girl asked, walking quietly into her father's study. "What are you doing Daddy?" she inquired, becoming more awake. She climbed into his lap, peering at the documents on his desk.
"I'm goin' through a troubling report, lass. Why aren't you in bed, Aly?" George asked in a mock stern tone, looking at her with dancing hazel eyes.
The seven-year old picked up the report, going through it in her mind. "I had a bad dream. Mama had been shot by the Scarthaki's. I couldn't sleep and saw your desk light on." She told him, calm for a girl of her age. She took up his pencil, continuing the translation where he left off.
George hugged his daughter, "It was just a bad dream, ask Gainel for a better one and get yerself back to bed, missy." He told her, watching her translate the report. Aly certainly had a flair for this work. Perhaps she would be an agent- No. George couldn't let his little girl into the dangerous and treacherous spy world. She could be an assistant perhaps. She'd do fine at that.
"Not now Pa." Alianne brushed Cooper off. "This is interesting." She said, perusing the finished translation quickly. "The Scarthaks mean to strike at our coast next. You'll need to get this to the king or Aunty Daine and Uncle Numy. Maybe Aunty Daine could summon another kraken!" Aly added, eyes shining. "That would be exciting!"
"That kind of excitement, lass, is what we don't need. But you're right the King needs to hear of this. I'll tuck ye in after, a'ight?" He smiled. She nodded, slipping off his lap.
"Alright Pa. And…" She smiled. "Happy Pa's Day. See you later." She told him, slipping out of the door, leaving a bemused George in her wake. He blinked, remembering his report and hurried to get to where he could send this off. Jon would need to know this.
