I.
Rodney Jacobson has been Mrs. Johnson's doctor for years. He's generally considered a nice guy. Gregory House has known her for three days and is a rude bastard. So Rodney fails to see why Princeton-Plainsboro's hospital administrator is suddenly giving House control of her case.
"This man's a certifiable lunatic!" he finally snaps.
"So true," sighs Cuddy.
"Then why are you siding with him!"
"Well," she says, "because you've never told someone you were going to kill her for medical reasons and gotten her to okay it."
"But that's euthanasia!"
"Not if you bring her back to life," chimes House.
II.
"How can you agree with him?" demands Cameron as soon as the door shuts behind their boss. Her mouth is compressed into that little line of anger, and she's doing her best self-righteous voice, too. "House may be a genius, but this time his idea isn't even possible!"
"Yeah," agrees Chase, "but he's right more often than you are."
She glares at him.
Ever since they slept together that's had less of an effect. After a beat he continues, unperturbed, grinning. "Now of course, he's wrong more often than you are, too, but his screw-ups are more entertaining than yours."
III.
Mark is not easy. That's okay; Stacy doesn't really do easy. Apparently it's tattooed across her forehead: Well-Adjusted Men Stay Away. So she's used to it, and she doesn't really mind not-easy, but sometimes it's hard to make Mark remember that. Even now, months after Princeton-Plainsboro, sometimes Mark can't seem to help remembering House.
Don't you see? she wants to scream. Don't you get the difference between you?
"...acting like he's always right. And damn him, he is! He was right about me, and I..."
"Yes," Stacy says. "He's almost always right. But the thing is, he doesn't know anything."
