A/N: I'm a big fan of Maureen/Joanne fics...I have a special 'connection' with this fic...Something like this happened to me! There was a huuuge spider in the house and my sister (kawaiipeach14) was screaming at me to kill it, heh.
R&R Please!
--------------------
"Maureen, I'm going to the market, do you want anything?" Joanne cried to the diva who was too engaged in watching the T.V to hear.
"Huh..." Maureen muttered.
"Honey, listen when I talk" Joanne said. "Do you want anything?"
"From what?" she asked.
"Maureen," Joanne said. Her voice sounded tired. "From the M-A-R-K-E-T"
"What does that spell?" Maureen asked looking up at Joanne from the couch.
Joanne sighed as she started walking out the door. "Never mind, I'll just get what you usually like, I'll see ya later honey!"
"Bye pookie, have fun at the market!" Joanne stopped walking and looked back at Maureen. She had a big grin on her face.
--------------------
"I am sooooo hungry!" Maureen exclaimed as she stretched on the couch. "I wonder when pookie is going to come back...It's only 2:13 P.M... it takes her at least two hours! How can someone take two hours or more at a market! I mean, it has nothing to amuse you with!"
She sighed.
"Well... maybe she'll surprise me this time; she might come back earlier today," Maureen said as she walked over to the refrigerator. "Oh well maybe she'll- OH MY GOD!" Maureen ran over to the couch for protection.
"It can't BE! it... is... a... SPIDER!" Maureen exclaimed as she peeked over the couch. "I'm...going...to...squish it!" Maureen ran into the bathroom to get some tissues. "I...I can't do it!" Maureen said. "I hate ALL bugs!" "They are so dis- OH MY POOKIEDOODLES! IT"S RUNNING AWAY!" Maureen shouted. "That is SO disgusting! Ya know what, I'm gonna wait till Pookie gets home. Then she can kill it! Ha, you stupid spider!"
Maureen glared at the spider as it crawled around on the floor.
Maureen was so scared of that spider, that she even screamed when the spider wasn't moving.
"3:07" Maureen read on the clock near the bathroom. "Probably only a couple more minutes left till pookie comes back."
But minutes passed and still no Joanne. Maureen, at this point, was about to cry. And the spider was crawling around the apartment floor for the twelfth time.
"I can't take it anymore!" Maureen shouted. And with that, Maureen grabbed some tissue.
"This is for my stuffed bear that I named pookie, and for Joanne, so she doesn't see me crying like a baby when she comes home from her everlasting trip to the market!"
Then, Maureen squished it. "Oh my God... I'm so glad that is over." said Maureen.
--------------------
A little while later, Maureen, being quite traumatized from the whole 'spider' incident, decided to take a nap. As she was about to close her eyes, the apartment door opened. "Now she comes!"
"Hi Honey! I'm back!" cried Joanne as she dropped the loads of bags on a table. "What did you do while I was gone?"
"Nothing... nothing important pookie."
