Moonlit Dance

Summary: Every part of him was beautiful, as was his art. SaiNaru. Yaoi. One-shot.

He sits still and watches. The fluid motion of his arm as the brush trails along the canvas leaving beauty in its wake. The way his fingers tense ever so slightly now and then to add that extra detail. The breath which he seems to hold when he finally sets down the brush and takes in his work in its all. He never took the time to notice the details of his former lover. It had never felt important, and now they were all he could see. The light that moved across his face as the time passed, how his hair wavered along with the wind when it came by.

There was nothing that he could be compared to. Nothing was like him. Except maybe one thing, they say a painting reveals the artist's soul and his inner being. If that was true then not only did he have a beautiful appearance, but an inner-self that was just as beautiful.

He loved him for that. Walking over he placed little kisses along his partner's neck, earning him a soft sigh. His raven haired partner taking hold of his hand and pulling the blonde into his lap. His lips, unpainted and full were beautiful. They only invited him.

Unbridled passion that could only be satisfied with their act of love. Even then, when they consummated it, he would notice the little things. Like how the arch of his back was so delicate and how in the night the moon, which cast its light upon them, seemed to dance upon it.

Sai was like his art. Beautiful and much more then what it seemed to be.

END

A/N: A very short one, like the other SaiNaru one. It's just so hard for me to write anything long on them and not lose the initial idea. Oh well.. Reviews and constructive criticism are welcome as usual. Until my next fic I bid you farewell
