A/N: Please note that I wrote this a few months ago, in like, an hour, so it may be a bit… well… shitty. I don't even like it all that much, but I wanted to put it on here, so… yeah. Oh, and I don't own Full Metal Alchemist.

"Strawberry Milk"

Winry paced around the waiting room impatiently. Where the hell was Al? They should've been there an hour ago!

"Be patient, Winry," scolded Pinako. "This is one of the few times they call, so give them a little slack."

Finally, the door opened, and Al stepped out quietly (Well, as quietly as you could if you were a suit of armor).

"Alright, Winry, you can come in now!" he said cheerfully, not noticing that she had already made her way into the room, and was about to scream at Ed.

"YOU DIDN'T DRINK THE MILK AGAIN!?"

Scratch that, Winry had already screamed at Ed.

"I'll take that as my cue to leave…" said Pinako, walking out the door.

"ARE YOU KIDDING ME?! I'D NEVER DRINK THAT CRAP!!"

"YOU HAVE TO IF YOU WANT TO RECOVER!!"

"I'LL HEAL JUST FINE WITHOUT IT!"

"MAYBE YOU WOULDN'T BE SO SHORT IF YOU ACTUALLY DRANK IT!!"

"WHO ARE YOU CALLING SO SMALL THAT HE'D DROWN IN A DROP OF WATER?!"

"Guys! Calm down! This is a hospital, you know!"

"So?!" they yelled in unison.

"Some of the patients might be trying to sleep!"

Well, there is that

"Nii-san, I hafta go check on Mustang. Hawkeye asked me to keep an eye on him as it's her day off," said Al. "Try to keep your voices down, okay?"

He left the room, leaving Ed and Winry alone.

"Ed," Winry started. "Why do you hate milk?"

"Because it tastes nasty, why else?"

"So if it tasted differently, you'd drink it?"

"If you're talking about chocolate milk, don't even think about it- I've already tried it and I don't like it."

"What about strawberry milk?" He stared at her, a puzzled look on his face. "I'm serious, Ed. There is such a thing as strawberry milk. You just take some strawberry syrup, and stir it into the milk. It's really good!"

"…I'll give it a shot."

A few days passed, and Ed got out of the hospital to stay at Winry's.

"Remember, Ed, you promised me you'd try it," said Winry as she poured a glass for him.

"I know I know…" he said, watching her pull the strawberry syrup out of the cabinet. She popped the cap off the bottle, and gently squeezed it over the milk, the red nectar ever so slowly sliding down the inside of the bottle to the open nozzle. Ed watched at the base of the glass as the syrup pushed its way to the bottom. It was gone in a flash of pink the second Winry stuck in a spoon into it and began to mix it. The whole glass took on a pinkish hue.

"It's now or never, Ed."

He held the glass in his hand, inspecting the pink milk. He took an apprehensive sip, and a surprised expression formed on his face. Then Winry gawked in disturbed fascination as he chugged down the rest of it.

"That was the most disgustingly amazing thing I've ever drank," he said, slamming the glass down on the table.

"So, you like it, then?"

"Yup."
