A Proposition

1/1

"Draco?"

"Yes?" He answered, without looking up from his Ancient Runes homework.

"Why were you and Blaise arguing before?"

"We weren't arguing, I can't believe you are still on about this, I told you it was nothing," he said scratching out a sentence.

"I'm sorry, but I don't believe you." She stated, grabbing the homework, and putting it on the table in front of them. "I wouldn't be at all surprised if the whole castle heard you, so what was it?"

"You aren't going to leave it alone are you?" He said, running a hand through his hair.

"No," she smirked. Scooting over the couch, she cuddled up right next to him. "Best friends shouldn't have blazing rows like that, at least not in the corridor in front of everyone."

"Fair enough," taking a deep breath, "He told me something I didn't really want to hear, and I told him something he didn't. So we were both more than a little pissed."

"What did you both say?"

Closing his eyes, "I don't think you want to know."

"Yes, I do. I don't want to see you lose a good friend over a silly disagreement."

"It wasn't a silly disagreement," he snapped, "He bloody well propositioned me, us."

"Us?" She whispered, "He wants to… with us, both of us?"

"Mm-hm," he answered. "I told him no of course."

"Of course…"

"Because I don't want to, you don't, do you?"

"Of course I don't," she whispered, "I'm beyond happy with you, there is no need to bring him into it."

"My thoughts exactly," pressing a kiss on her forehead, "So can I finish my homework now?"

Smiling, "Of course you can."
