As fans, we don't own Avatar. But if the writers know what's good for them, they'll listen to the fans (MM) and the Cabbage Merchant's name will be Kantu.

KANTU THE STALKER (AND ALSO THE AVATAR'S BIGGEST FAN)

It wasn't a coincidence that Kantu was in Omashu. He knew it was the Avatar behind them. It was all over the earth kingdom. And what a ruse it was, when his cabbages went over the edge, that it was at the precise moment for Kantu to steal a bit of the Avatar's fake hair and get a good look at Avatar Aang's backside.

After all, who didn't want to get what they could out of the Avatar?

And as he sat in the water below, surrounded by cabbages he only pretended to like for the sake of keeping his cover, Kantu stroked the hair with one hand, saying...

"This will fetch a pretty silver coin on E-bay"

E-bay conveniently being the name of the Pirate Looter's ship in a nearby town.
