What is love?
Can you hold it in your hands?
Can you hear it?
Can you see it.
Can you feel it?
Victor walked into the room, and sat down next to His wife, Emily. They had been together for almost two years now, and things had never been better for either of them. He walked in and sat down next to her on the sofa, not surprised to find her in his lap in a matter of seconds.
"Victor..?" She asked him quietly.
"Yes darling?"
"What is love?" she asked, He stared at her for a moment, trying to find an answer to her question.
" what is love? Hmmm….what is love. It's…..love is….. Love is spending time with the person that you'd do absolutely anything for, even die for them." She smiled and added to his sentence.
"Love is waking up on misty summer mornings in the arms of another." She said dreamily.
"Love is having a shoulder to cry on, and offering one if need be."
"Love is never looking back."
"Love hurts sometimes, but always comes back sweeter than before." Victor said, remembering how he had met Emily.
" Love is never something you should have to earn from your other."
" Love is looking into your eyes." Their gazes locked.
"Love is your warm embrace."
"Love is playing with your beautiful hair." Victor said
"Love is knowing that you'll always be here."
"Love is knowing that I'll never turn back."
" Love is knowing that I never have to be lonely again." Emily smiled warmly after her comment.
"Love is knowing that I have a purpose in life, to care for you."
"Love is music."
"Love is dancing."
"Love is singing." Their faces were drawing closer.
"love is…you." They said in unison, although it was nothing more than an infatuated murmur as their lips met in a passionate kiss. They broke apart after some time…and Emily smiled, looking up at Victor.
"Victor…?"
" yes…?"
"I think I'm in love." She said. He smiled.
"I think I am as well." He chuckled, and kissed her again. The world could've dissolved around them, and they'd have never noticed… for this was love, and they wouldn't miss it for anything .
