The Note

A/N: This is based on a true story…yeah, kind of…it's a drabbly fic that came from the top of my head.

Sakura walked home tiredly. She, Sasuke, and Naruto finished their mission. Whoever thought throwing knives at others for eight hours was going to tire you so easily? She was about to open her door, when she suddenly saw a note posted on it.

Sakura, I've wanted to ask you this for a long time because I thought it would ruin our friendship.

Sakura stared at these first words of the note awkwardly. Her first instincts were that Naruto wrote this, because he always wanted to be with her. Then again, there was Lee, who is madly in love with her as well. She continued to read the note.

I think you're smart, pretty, and funny, and I want to know if we could go out sometime.

Sakura gasped in surprise. She knew she was smart, no doubt about that, and she was flattered that the person who wrote it said that she was pretty and funny.

"If only Sasuke would write something like this…" Sakura said to herself. She folded the note, went inside and wrote a reply. Before writing it, she thought of who wrote it and what to say.

"Is it Naruto? Is it Lee? What do I write? I'm going to break his heart…" Sakura thought. She began to write at the bottom of the message.

Unfortunately, no…It's complicated.

She didn't know what else to write. She posted the message back on the door for that person to see.

"I'm sorry…whoever you are…" Sakura said, putting her hand on the door and holding her head down. She went back inside her home to cry without tears.

Later that Night

The figure in the darkness stood by Sakura's door and picked the note from it. He read her message, and silently put it in his pocket. Suddenly, he drops his headband on the door. He left as the headband clanged on the hard ground.

Later that Morning

Sakura opened the door, and found a maroon headband laying on the ground. Tears fell from her eyes as she broke the heart of Rock Lee.

A/N: xP it's all sucky and drabbly…the real story was that someone in class got received a note from the person sitting next to them. She didn't know what to write, and gave it back to him in regret. The words written on the note in this story are almost the exact words written in real life. So…yeah.
