~I Will Never Forget You~
By: JessieofTR

Everyone in the kingdom had shown up to the palace that day. They were all there for one reason: The Emperor and Empress's funeral. My parents....they were both murdered by a weak peasent who was already suppose to be put to death. But, later on, I had gotten word that this peasent had escaped and now he was no where to be found. I couldn't have been more angry, and I remember ordering three thirds of the kingdom gaurds and servants to find him and bring him back....unfortunally, he was never found....

I was only five when they died, but I remember it like it was yesterday. They had died three months after my birthday. They had given me a new wampy...or actually, three hundred new wampies, and some other stuff that I couldn't remember what was.

I remember the night they were murdered. I was lying in my bed, when I heard shouting, and screaming.....screams so horrible, I didn't want to leave the safety of those covers. Screams of people dying...but those were only the screams of the gaurds. They had sacrificed themselves to try and save my parents. Their funeral was held after my parents. After that, there was silence, and then, more screaming. I remember myself start to cry, because I knew my mom and dad's voice.

I sat up quickly. "Mama! Papa!" I shouted. There was another silence, and I began to shout and cry harder. "MAMA! PAPA!" I screamed at the top of my lungs.

Someone opened my chamber door and hugged me. I held on to whoever it was and looked into the face of my advisor.

"Kuzco...everything will be alright now..." She said, trying to calm me down. "Shh....it'll be ok..."

I wasn't sure if she was crying or not. But all I could feel were my tears running down my face, and the bloody truth that was stabbing me in the heart....

Now, I was standing in the thrown room in which the funeral was being held. I was holding one of the wampies my parents gave me, and I had two of the others placed in each of their graves, along with some flowers. As I stood there, I felt a bony hand touch my shoulder.

"All is well now, young Kuzco....your parents are with the gods and they are in good hands.."

I sniffed to hold back my tears as I listened to the voice of Yzma.

"Kuzco...." She breathed in. "After this you know, you'll have to take the thrown...."

"How can I, Ms. Yzma? I don't know how..."

"Don't worry, Kuzco....I'm going to help you..."

I nodded, and she handed me a rose which I put on top of my parents graves when we were outside and they were burrying them. "I will never forget you..." I said, to the graves. I turned around and walked back to the palace...and that's all I could remember...

((Ok, now I don't usually write sad stories but I guess I was depressed ever since I heard about that mother drowning her five children. That really pierced my heart. People, just remember that violence is not the answer! Keep our world safe! Ja na....~~JessieofTR))
