"Cold Blue Fire"
The Avatar's gang settled their camp beside a lake near an earth village. It was a cold autumn night. Aang and Sokka where fast asleep in their tents and eventually were deep asleep as heard from their deep and too loud snores. Katara woke up from the middle of her dream when she heard the loudest snore her brother has made. She sat up from her sleeping bag and rolled her eyes. She slumped back to the ground again and still she couldn't drift back to dreamscape. Sokka's snore was keeping her quite wide eyed.
"I can't sleep!" she sat up irritated and walked out from her tent and decided to sit down at the campfire they had made earlier. The fire was still blazing though almost fading away from lack of wood. She sighed, braced herself and stared at the flickering flames in front of her.
She tried to sleep off, but the fire was amazing her. The yellow, red and orange combination of the fire was bewilderment… a wondrous scene. She smiled to herself and closed her eyes to drift off but instead of falling back to sleep, she was thunderstruck to see a pair of deep gold eyes.
The gold orbs were like the color of the fading fire in front of her. They were piercing sharp like of a hawk and somewhat dazing. She sighed deeply, closing her own eyes.
Snap.
She opened her eyes widely and saw the sticks of twigs snapping as the fire began to blaze abruptly. Did someone placed new woods in the fire? She looked around the area and found no one. She stared back at the fire and then she saw the pair of gold eyes again. She shoved the image away and stood up. She walked to the lakeside and scooped a handful of water with her hands.
The droplets of water fell from the gap on her palms. She reached the campfire once again and then she stared at the blazing fire for the last time before putting it out by the use of the water from her palms. She settled down on the ground again and smelled the intoxicating smell of burnt wood.
"Why do I keep on seeing his eyes?" she thought to herself before falling asleep on the ground. She curled up like a cat and mumbled words under cold breaths.
"I am cold." She whispered to herself before finally falling back to her dreamscape.
Katara decided to put off the fire, for if not… she will see again his deep piercing gold dazing eyes.
Zuko's deep gold colored orbs.
