A/N: OK, before you read this, remember: This poem is set on when Crowfeather and Leafpool THOUGHT they would never return to their Clans. Enjoy! (at least i hope you will...)

What I Gave Up For You

L e a f p o o l 's P O V

I gave up my Clan
for your midnight-black pelt
In which I would bury myself into
And immediately melt.

I gave up my future
Of caring, and to protect;
I had my Clan to nurture
All of that I just left.

I gave up my life
Of a medicine cat,
I gave up my responsibilities
To them I turned my back.

I gave up my friends
And family. And more.
I gave up all the things
I so desperately adore

I gave up Squirrelflight
Dear family, dear sister.
I gave up Sandstorm and Firestar
I'll miss him; I'll miss her.

I gave up everything
For you and you alone.
Because I love you
Right down to your flesh and bone.
Nothing can ever
Change my mind
No matter how many things
I've left behind.

Crowfeather.

C r o w f e a t h e r ' s P O V

I gave up my ambitions
To become deputy,
then leader.
I gave up my traditions
of the warrior code
Which now is getting farther
and farther away
instead of nearer.

I gave up everything
That was familiar to me
I gave up my warrior status
To go with you, to flee.

I gave up fighting and combat
Just to go with you
I gave up my reputation
To be in another station
I did all of because of you.

I gave up my Clan's loyalty
Which was my fiercest pride
I gave up my Clanmates' trust
Now it's turned to dust
I've betrayed them. I've lied.

But most of all
I gave up Feathertail.
The one I once so dearly loved.
I left that melancholy tale
In the past, for you, my most beloved.

Why would I give up
The whole of my life?
Because
I love you
More than words can say
Because
I love you
Every second of the day.

Leafpool.

A/N: I wanted it to rhyme … Maybe I should rethink that; it's sort of lame.

Well, watcha waitin' for, REVIEW!! This is a one-shot, also. Poems are not naturally my thing; I just wanted to take a risk to see what you all have to say. Which reminds, me: SEND FLAMES if you want to, as long as they're honest. Heehee...

Oh and by the way…be sure to check out (((coughREVIEWcough))) my other story, "A Story of Tradegy, Romance and Friendship." Thanks!
