I felt like typing this story (obviously xD) and I hope you will like it ;)
Ino was heading to the training grounds. Shikamaru had asked her to come and train with him.
He was acting rather suspicious the passed few days. She didn't exactly know what was wrong with him, but nosy as she was, she would definitely find out.
It was a sunny and thus hot day. There was not a single cloud in the sky, so Ino figured that Shikamaru must have been bored to death, because he couldn't be busy with his favorite hobby: cloud gazing. Moreover, it was too hot to sleep comfortable, but training could be done.
As Ino arrived at their meeting place, she saw Shikamaru sitting in the shadow of a tree. His hands were behind his lowered head.
Ino smiled at the sight. She couldn't help herself, but in the past few years, she had built up an admiration for the lazy boy. The last few months though, she had started to develop feeling for her teammate. Her childhood crush Uchiha Sasuke was forgotten and she didn't have any problems with Sakura as his girlfriend. Actually, she was very happy for the couple. They both deserved some love and happiness.
Ino approached Shikamaru and he lazily opened one eye.
"Oi, Ino," he said in a lazy tone.
"Che, I'm five minutes late and you take a nap already?" she said arrogantly, while she crossed her arms. She smiled inwardly though, for his well known laziness.
Meanwhile, she didn't know that Shikamaru had been one hour early, just in case.
"Yare yare," he sighed. "Let's just get started."
Ino looks good today, he thought. Well actually, when doesn't she? These feelings are really troublesome. It took me a whole week to come up with this plan. Che, usually it takes less than half an hour.
He had to do this, even if she would hate him for the rest of his life. He had to get over with it. He didn't know if it would work and thus it was the most troublesome plan ever. Yet, it had to be done, or else he would go crazy and never have a normal day again.
Both Ino and Shikamaru got in their battle stances. They were prepared to fight.
Ino pulled a kunai out and threw it at Shikamaru. He easily dodged it though.
Shikamaru had an advantage, because Ino's specialty was her mind control, which was not very useful at the moment.
As Ino was exhausted, Shikamaru thought this was the best moment to execute his plan.
He performed his kagemane no jutsu to bind Ino with his technique.
Shikamaru grinned inwardly as Ino realized she couldn't move on her own.
He slowly started walking towards her. Ino did the same. He gulped and prayed that everything would went fine.
As they stood in front of each other, he leaned in, as did she, and kissed her.
At the moment their lips touched, Shikamaru released his jutsu. He wouldn't force her to keep it up.
Yet, the only thing she did was the opposite of pushing him away. She pressed her feminine body against his masculine one and deepened the kiss.
Shikamaru was happy that she hadn't pulled away and put his arms around her waist.
As they finally broke apart, the usually loud Ino whispered: "Shika-kun, why didn't you tell me earlier?"
A grin appeared on the lazy boy's face. "That would have been too troublesome."
