I finished writing this after "Lake Laogai" but before "The Earth King" aired, which should explain why they apparently failed at Ba Sing Se, Guru Pahtik has not been introduced, and Aang hasn't made an attempt to confess yet. Know, before you read this, that I have taken a few liberties with the characters and events in previous episodes, which will become apparent as you read. I merely ask that you don't hold it against me or the story, and simply enjoy what they bring to the plot. I'll be happy to answer any questions you have about them.
