Story: Logan and Rory are going to get married, but not move to California. Luke is with Lorelai and they are just happily together.

This is my take on the perfect ending scene of Gilmore Girls. The very last scene. Here is what I would love to see happen. I would love to see just the two girls, like they started off in the first season. No Luke, nor Logan (although I love them both) would be in my perfect last scene.

Rory stared around at Luke's diner, a huge coffee mug in hand. Lorelai was sitting across from her, staring into her coffee. She looked up at Rory.

"Hey, kid. What are you thinking about?"

Rory jerked her head up to look at her mom and sighed. She was getting married to Logan. Logan Huntzberger. How could life be better?

"I was just thinking. Mostly of how I met Logan," Rory said, smiling. She remembered that day clearly.

"Huh. Funny. I was thinking of the day I met Luke. It was such a long time ago. Do you remember it?"

"No, I was too young. I barely remember it. I do remember my first burger here; Luke cut it too look like a star," Rory glanced away again, reminiscing.

Again, they both took to staring at they're coffee mugs and the interior of the diner. Rory's mind was set on flashback mode. She was remembering. Just remembering. About Jess and Dean and then Logan. About Ms. Patty and Paris and Babette and Luke. About Lane and Zack and Brian and Gil and Ms. Kim. Then she thought about her Grandparents and then Lorelai.

"Hey mom?" Rory asked.

"Yeah?"

"Did you ever think our lives would turn out this way?" She asked, laughing.

"No, kid. Not a bit," Lorelai said, grinning. "But I wouldn't change it for the world." She directed her gaze at Luke, who was taking orders and cleaning tables.

"Hey mom?" Rory said again.

"Yeah, sweets?"

"I wouldn't change it for the world, either."

They both grinned and continued talking and laughing. To someone outside, who looked in a window and saw the two of them, it would look like two best friends having a fun time. But to the rest that knew them, it looked like the unforgettable Gilmore girls, having another lunch at Luke's.

AN: Just a little story I thought of. It's just the end to me. It's kind of short, but it's just the way I wrote it.
